We’re almost out of time.

Magic Side is under attack and the prison has been cursed. If I can’t break the spell, my city will be overrun. The problem is, my magic is out of control, and I can’t fight this battle alone.

There’s only one person to turn to—Damian Malek.

But my strongest ally might also be my greatest threat. I’ve discovered what Damian is, and it’s far worse than just being a fallen angel. I don’t trust him, and it’s too dangerous to be around him. My very soul, and my magic, are at risk.

But I have no choice.

Only Damian knows the truth of what is really going on, and he’ll only share it with me. We’ve got to bargain with vampires and demons, battle mythical monsters, and expose the lost secrets of a ruined temple before time runs out.

Will he help me save the city I love, or is it a trap to take everything I hold dear?

An action-packed urban fantasy, Cursed Angel features a rebel heroine, a dark angel hero, and slow burn romance. Prepare yourself for edge-of-your-seat adventure amongst ancient ruins and mythical places.

This series keeps surprising me. I am really loving the unique premise of the series. I don't know that I have read a story before where djinn were the main focus of the story and it is really refreshing. It really beats the same old stories with vampires and werewolves. This world does encompass those mythical creatures as well but in interesting ways. I am really loving the variety of different mythical races in this series.

I am loving Neve and Damian's relationship. He is so protective of her and he makes so many sacrifices for her. Their slow-burn romance might just kill me.

This is such an exciting and fun series and I can't wait for the last book!

One thing I love about this author duo with one of my favorite authors is how fun the books are. In this latest, Matthias has struck, and Neve and Damian have to team up to right what he put wrong. This book pretty much starts where the third one ended, and the action never lets up from there. OK, it does once in a while, but still, there is plenty of it. This latest is just what you’ve come to expect from these authors, and I am so ready for the next book…and more romance! I love this series with its light and fun adventure urban fantasy genre. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

The action was non stop. Neve and Damian don’t slow down while they chase Matthias and his army all over. I kept thinking they need a friend like Connor to feed them and supply them with coffees. 😂
I loved getting to see more Spark in this story! He is the best.
I hope book 4 gives us a little more info about who Neve is or her past. I’m would love to see her planes walk home and have a reunion of some sort.
The way this book ended has me wondering how Damian is going to deal with his FireSoul side?!? I don’t remember Del, Nix or Cass having this much of an issue and I feel for the guy. He really beats himself up over it 🙈

If you loved the first 2 books in this series, you’ll want to grab book 3, some snacks and pull an all nighter. It’s a page turner.

ESE FINAL, QUIERO LLORAR. DUELE LPM.

Overall: 3/5

Plot and themes: 3/5

Characters: 3/5

Writing style: 3/5

Attention-grabbing: 3/5

This is the third book in the Storm series, part of the Dragon's Gift universe. It follows the adventures of Neve, a half-djinn, and Damien, a fallen angel/FireHeart. Their powers are confusing and poorly defined and the reasoning behind holding back on their romance? Even more so. Matthias, basically the only character who was not introduced as a clear protagonist, is the villain and he's set to capture enough djinn to take over the world. Not only does Neve have to stop him but she has to resist the possibility of being trapped into granting his wishes for all of eternity.

Again, this is part of a greater universe so maybe I'm just missing out on the magical components because I haven't read all of the other installments. But there are a lot of things that I just didn't follow. It wasn't even following more like understand the relevance of. It's like, it wasn't a bad story or anything and it was mildly entertaining it just wasn't something that I was super involved in the whole time I was reading it.

I've finished reading the series so I felt bad rating it much lower than three, it was interesting enough for me to make it to the end and not hate them all. But it also could have been a lot more interesting.

Good story

The historical, geographical and archaeological components of this book are my favorite parts. A lot of research clearly went in to the background and added richness to the story.

I also liked the way that certain mysteries were revealed, though the unsolved ones definitely leave you curious and wanting more.

Things develop between Damian and Neve, and in some ways they are good. I was bothered by the fact that while they are attracted to each other and care about each other, they seem to have a fundamental difference in their views on life that don’t seem especially resolvable. He seems dismissive of some of Neve’s deepest interests (e.g., books), and she generally tries to stay on the right side of the law, which Damian does not do and does not respect. It makes it difficult to believe that they have a chance at something long-term. I hope that the last book reveals more empathy and compromise on their deep-seated beliefs.

Heart Stopping!

The authors, Veronica Douglas and Linsey Hall, get our blood pumping with action and romance, in book three of their Dragon’s Gift: The Storm series.

Cursed Angel continues the relationship ups and downs between Neve, a half djinn, and Damian, an underworld king pin with paranormal secrets of his own. As they work together, albeit it grudgingly, to keep the magical world safe and hidden from humans with no understanding of those who truly live around them, we are transported all around the world.

These scenes are what make an amazing story expand into the truly brilliant. This author team breathes so much life into the journey and romantic Sparks, that a fire sprite feels like a deadly dragon!

This is a book, and series, that physically hurts your heart when each comes to an end. Lucky for us, book four comes out in May! Yay!

Cursed Angel picks up where Dark Storm leaves us. As Neve and Damians story continues on its rollercoaster ride to defeat Matius and the genies and stop them from creating a new world of darkness from which he wants to rule. Neve transcends into an all powerful Djinn but does this prove just too much for the dark side of Damiens cursed angel to resist. Am loving these books and the way they absorb you and allow you to ride the rollercoaster with them. Can’t wait for book four to find out if Neve and Damian figure out a way they can embrace their feelings for each other and defeat Matius once and for all. I have been lucky to receive an advance copy of this book. Thank you Veronica and Linsey x

Totally love all the archeology that you put in your books!

I love the car club. The race was hilarious, although I feel bad for Damien and how it had to end. I felt his competitiveness then. I love the new character Rayne & Sara. I don't like Ethan at all! He's to arrogant. The fact that he just met Neve and he's flirting pretty hard. Then he starts asking questions about her being a djinn. Which might I add was very dumb on Neve's part. She's only known him a day or two & I've never heard her say much about Lily either. She should of told Gretchen and Rhiannon in private! I absolutely love the weird new vampires. Their characters are very quirky. The mutated creatures was a nice twist that I didn't see coming. Can't wait till the next one!

Be careful what you wish for, fate has a way of corrupting even the best wish.

Neve, Damian, and all the other normal supporting cast are alive and well again in this book. The danger, however, has increased by leaps and bounds. Can they save Magic Side and everyone in time or will Matthias realize his evil goals and take them all down. With help, hopefully, Neve and Damian will succeed. Sadly, that help will need to come from unexpected places and will cost them dearly. Friends close, enemies closer.
I highly recommend this book, series and all it's great characters and storyline. I'm just putting it out there that I am all team Rhiannon and Ethan! :-) I can not wait for the last book in series!!!!

Fantastic

I am loving this series, written with Veronica Douglas. I like it more than a Linsey book on its own for a variety of reasons.

I had to take a break from Linsey’s books because no matter how good the plot was, it always was a badass female MC who wasn’t complete without her “fated mate” male counterpart.

One series like that.. ok.. but ALL of them.. no bueno..

This series has had me on the edge of my seat, with a lot of what the freak moments. Unlike the other series though, this love story is NOT an easy thing, and at this point, I wouldn’t even be mad if they DIDN’T have a happily ever after. Real life doesn’t always work that way and can work in books as well.

Fantastic

An absolutely brilliant piece of writing These authors just know how to grab your attention and keep it riveted. This series just gets better and better. Neve and Damian have faced another attack by their arch enemy Matthias and she has now come into her full djinn powers which she still doesn't fully understand for the moment they have saved the world but Matthias escaped and almost captured her. Damian is fighting his darkness which wants to drain her of her powers but at the same time he is desperate to protect her which side of him will win the good of the bad will she ever fully understand and master her powers Look forward to the next book to find out. A riveting read.

Neve continues to distrust Damian, Mathias's sinister plans were threatening everyone, and Neve still has no control of her powers. Damian was desperate fighting against his dark nature, his violent and wicked feelings, the attraction he was feeling towards Neve and his desire to protect and make her his. All this while they hunt down and fight the wicked. Lots of adventure, action, suspense, exciting fights, detailed and informative descriptions, monsters left and right, the dragon familiar and our heroes showing off different and creative ways to fight the villains. Voluntarily reviewed this copy that I enjoyed.

Neve wants nothing to do with Damien after she finds out what he is. Neve sees her neighborhood destroyed from what she did. Neve will not be able to rest as the archives are attacked. She is able to work her magic, she finds this was a diversion. Neve will have to work with Damien again in order to stop what is going to happen.

I loved this book, I recommend reading this. Loved the moment with Damien and the vette. Neve and Damien have to work together again. Neve also learns a little more about her magic. Love the push/ pull of the relationship between Neve and Damien. I can't wait for the next book. I hope the authors continue to write others series together in future.

So good! I loved this story. The characters have grown on me and I can hardly wait to read the last installment. It would be awesomeness if Damien could meet Del, Nix and Cass and learn how to control his Firesoul so he and Neve can be together. Anyway back to this book - I loved the vamps though they were pretty creepy. And the freakish creatures on and around the island were the products of some disturbed minds. (heh, heh, heh). Actually reminded me of radiation poisonings from old movies about nuclear war. Anyway, lots of good stuff in this book and I'm sure everyone will enjoy it if they read previous books in the series and liked them.

The one thing I have thoroughly enjoyed about reading this fantastic duo is the fact that their writing is so seamless. You can hardly tell that it is two different authors collaborating on the same book. Plus I'm just a sucker for Neve and Damian's relationship! I just love it! Book three pretty much begins after the events of book two, and there is just as much heart-stopping action. These books have been so incredible, and I always love the books these two authors write! Put them together, and you have an unstoppable duo!

Adventure continues with Damien and Neve going to different countries and following the clues

Damien and neve continue to gather contacts to defeat the genies and the demons. They travel the world to find them and take them out. they even go to the Black Sea where the evil mastermind has created an island of evil. With help from some locals they break the curse of the island and find the batteries that are causing the problems that need draining. If one of those batteries becomes unstable it will blow up. Can they conquer all and not get blown up in the process?

I’m so happy that Veronica Douglas and Linsey Hall decided to do a new set of Dragin’s Giftbbooks as I’m truly enjoying their Dragon's Gift: The Storm series. That certainly continues to be the case with Cursed Angel (Book 3). It has all the ingredients one could ask for, a strong plot line that follows through on the already promising story arc, a fantastic lead character and supporting cast, and superb world building. Actions, slow burn romance, fantastic twists and turns - and total fun. Easy to highly recommend.

I've Read Better, and I've Read Worse

Warning: This review may contain spoilers.

I have read worse novels, but I have also read better. Cursed Angel is an okay book if your looking for a short read to kill some time, as quick and simple to get through. Story and characters is nothing to be wowed about, but it's readable...despite the fact that the main character is called Neveah, which makes it hard to actually take the character seriously. The world buidlign and characters failed to leave an impression so I doubt I will re-read, but it's readable.

Skim reading FTW

My review for book 2 holds true for book 3. The FL was written immaturely & sadly the story to me is on the decline - more immature than a wide based audience mature adult read. It's disappointing as the story has potential. 80-85% of this book is filler to be honest & majority of the events bring no value to the book other than to mention other characters from the same universe (mentioned in other story line books). I'll continue to skim read book 4 just to see how it ends.

Mind blowing

Am so hungry for the next word written and in a state of horror at what is happening. Will Damian and Neve make it through with the help of Spark or blow up everything if evil wins.
The scenery is mind blowing as well, feel every stone come to life
Rushing to open STORM and get my fix of the greatest adventure of my life.
16 year's possibly old enough for this work of art.

The stakes reach their peak in Cursed Angel as Delaney faces her most dangerous challenge yet. With Magic Side under siege and her magic spiraling out of control, the pressure to break the prison’s curse is relentless.

The deepening complexity of Damian Malek’s character adds to the tension, especially as his dark secrets come to light. The story’s action-packed pace—featuring mythical battles, daring bargains, and ancient temple mysteries—keeps readers riveted.

Wonderfully Written Story

This book continues the story of Neve and Damien and their adventures as they try to stop the evil Mage. The story follows their growing relationship and the adventures they go through. The story is well written with exciting scenes and good descriptions of the world-building that brings the whole package together. A fun read

Well written urban fantasy novel

We have our kick as heroine going through some changes and her biggest fear is becoming a full Djinn and being vulnerable to be bound.

Then we have our dark Angel hero, a Fire Soul but in straight juxtaposition to Nix, Cass and Del his powers are consuming him.

Settle in for slow burn romance and lots of archaeological adventures.

Absolutely wonderful paranormal fantasy. The characters and storyline are great and keep you turning pages. There’s excitement, lots of magic, conflict, trying to stop demented demons and the intense connection between the two main characters. This is book #3 out of 4. I can’t wait for the next book.
