The book had me hooked from the very first page. That's hard to do! But the author starts the story with a bit of a mystery regarding a creepy dude and it really sets the stage of what the poor protagonist must endure throughout the story. I really loved how Ivy had a mind of her own and didn't just sit back as a helpless woman who'd been dealt a bad hand in the game of life. I enjoyed this book immensely and highly recommend it.

Great story, beautifully described characters. Wonderful backdrop & the angst was the right amount. However, I wanted more. I feel as if it can be longer.
