In the beginning, I really love these two taking on the world (or outer world) with their individual skills... we all bring something different to our relationships right? Julie is a real woman, liking her privacy and I love her lack of spoiled character given her status. Kilo is super protective hero, but he's respectful of Julie's talents too. I love that they play off each other's strengths, exactly how a good relationship should.
And not gonna lie... frisky scenes are hot, which is exactly what I love. I feel bad to say that as an adult I don't care to sweet romance with behind the door... I've got limited time and enjoy real life fun descriptions. The best scenes and stories are when authors give you the feels with it though. I like for my characters sex life to amplify because of the love attached!
Dual POV shifts take a bit to get used to, just an FYI b/c characters are worth the time for their bond.

Compelling read!
Not my usual genre but I truly enjoyed reading this book. Its action packed, with sassy and fiesty characters and a romance that takes steamy to another level. The story builds chapter by chapter keeping intrigue and curiosity alive from the start to the end! Looking forward to reading the follow on!

DNF at 50%
It’s best if I note what I liked and disliked about this book to explain my dnf.
Liked:
The steam factor was dialled up and the scenes were hot.
The plot was good, but I had a problem with the writing style.
Disliked:
The heroine. When we meet her she’s a glamour model who sees an alien crash to earth and doesn’t seem particularly surprised at all. Later that night she becomes a katana-wielding fourth level dan when she helps Kilo fight alien trackers. Then when they need entry into a ritzy party it turns out Julie is also a duchess so mission solved.
It would have to be the greatest coincidence ever to crash near such a perfect specimen of humanity.
The romance. As I said earlier the steam was great but there was no build-up. One minute they’re fighting aliens, the next they’re bonking like rabbits. This was instalove on steroids.
Lastly the writing. Now the writing is not bad and the plot could have worked but the style didn’t work for me. Pretty much all of what I read was written in dialogue, and people would never talk the way they did in this book. It seemed like either a translation or written by someone who speaks English as a second language. Everything was grammatically correct but came across too formal.
Lovers of sexy sci-fi may enjoy this book, my dislikes were personal preference.

A wonderful sci-fi story
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! The story revolves around Julie Wolf, a model and a wealthy Duchess incognito who's out for a walk when a loud boom rocks the area. She finds a crater with a wounded man from another planet. She learns quickly about this sexy man who is the leader of Rebels against a tyrannical Empire, trying to stop them from exploiting others worlds. Action ensues as more aliens enter our world, searching for an ancient weapon that can kill planets and don't care how many die in the process.There's plenty of drama, action action-packed scenes, witty banter, and steamy sex that will keep you engrossed in the story. I highly recommend this one!

A great read, it’s got lots of action, steamy scenes and it ends on a cliffhanger. Kilo is an alien rebel, Julie is a duchess/model, together with some of Kilo’s acquaintances and some sas soldiers, they go to find a weapon that the empire will kill to find and that’s why the rebellion need it more.

Took me some time to read, but it was a VERY good book! I always love books with a good cliffhanger. Because when a book ends like that then I know another book will be coming! I also love the combination of the two genres. Romance, and Sci-Fi. It kept me interested from the beginning until the end.

This book was sold to me as Star War crossed with 50 Shades of Grey. It sounded like a fun idea but my expectations weren't super high. The relationship did progress at a weird pace, I felt like nothing was happening between them then the next thing I know they're in love.
Kilo, the male love interest, is supposed to be an Alien but he looks, acts, and speaks like a human so there is really no difference between him and humans.
This book had an interesting format which takes a bit to get used to but was quite cool. Each paragraph cuts to the next character. We follow both Kilo and Julie and when they are in different places we find out what they are both doing at the same time. In one paragraph we see what Kilo is doing then the next paragraph is what Julie is doing at the same time.
Overall the book met my expectations of being a fun book. Nothing extraordinary but if you're looking for a quick read with some good spice and a space adventure then this is the book for you.

I usually watch alien scifi, because I have a hard time keeping up with everything in a book ( when there are lots of new things). But here it felt a lot easier.
In the beginning, we get a good understanding of the maincharacters, which helped me a lot to understand their decisions and motivations better. But I felt like the development of Julia was a little fast - or maybe we could have had a better insight from the beginning on into all her badass features.
I enjoyed Kilos and Julias relationship, but I felt a bit like there could have been a few "What if" moments in the beginning. Once they are together, it's great.
I honestly did not understand, how they had so much energy for all the battles they had to fight, with all the time they spent in the bedroom!
Anyways, before I spoil too much. If you are into War stories x 50 Shades of Grey X Star Wars, then look no further. I'll get the second edition right away.

An all-action tale of Julie and Kilo, female and male, human and alien, bedroom action and battlefield action; with so much of the former that I’m surprised they have any energy left over for the latter. But I digress; this sci-fi story of an alien, a rebel against the empire on his home planet, crashing to Earth and meeting a katana-wielding aristocratic action woman has them striking sparks off of each other as well as off of his enemies as Julie joins forces with the rebels against the oppressors, leading to … a point at which the action moves to the second volume, upon which I am about to embark. If you are a fan of both erotica and militaria, this book is for you.

Sexual Passion in the midst of a war
I loved the plot and the storyline. It was easy to read and follow . Great beach or holiday romance.its part of a series.
It read like a mills and boon of my younger days, only with modern day explicit sex scenes and a bloody war zone. Great research but felt like I needed to read more to see some success in battle which it lacked. I'm a sucker for happy endings. I would give it a 4.5 rating only because I found it was too full of detailed sex and left nothing to the imagination in that area.

The blurb of this book tells it as it is. You get what you bargained for! Suspenseful Sci-Fi adventure mixed with steamy hot scenes liberally splattered throughout the story, strong female lead who's not afraid to either submit to, or take the lead with Kilo. Brilliant. It took me a little while to get to know the characters and care for them but in the end I was hooked. I need to find out what happens next, both with their relationship and the fate of Kilo's society. I'm looking forward to reading the second in the series!

One of the main characters is an alien who falls out of the sky; the other is a duchess who has been in the sex trade. Their adventures are legion and interesting, with a war between Rebels and Empire as the backdrop. If you don't mind sentences like "Pulling her toward him, kisses her," or even if you like them, you're fine, because there are pages of steamy sex and bad grammar. No problem, it's kind of entertaining.

I enjoyed the book which is an erotic Sci Fi story that is well written with a good descriptive style by the author, with the exception of not really knowing what Kilo looks like. Kilo arrives from outer space to be found and assisted by Julie, a wealthy duchess, They eventually return to Kilo's planet where he is held in high esteem and he leads the rebels to capture back the city he is from, with the help of Julie.

This book is extremely exciting and not what I expected. I thought Kilo was such an interesting character and fitted perfectly with Julie. This is a book about war, adventure with a lot of raunchy scenes. I thought the author did a good job of bringing it all together. Looking forward to the next book.

Alien Invasion: Romancing the Rebel is a thrill ride of a sci-fi romance that keeps you on edge until the very end. Blood, war, and steamy spicy goodness. What more could you want. Though I wish Julie and Kilo's relationship was more of a slow burn, I didn't hate the way it played out. And the ending...oof. I didn't see that coming.

This is a wonderful book. The author built a world of intrigue with lots of steam!! Kilo is a sweet but dominant male and Julie is a kick-butt chick. Kilo and Julie have chemistry and did I mention the heat level. There is something for everyone in this fantastic book and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This is one of those books that deserves to be televised.

This book was a good start to a series. The main characters seemed to spend most of their time either engaged in battle or erotica. The battle scenes were suspenseful, although the book ended rather abruptly.

I wanted to like this book but I just couldn’t. It jumped right into the story with no lead up and was written too simplistically for me. I thought it had potential with the character descriptions in the summary but I couldn’t even finish it with how the writing was.

Badass!
This novel is a good mix of fantasy sci-fi in the backdrop of London. I love Kilo, our hero, so much and how he talks and is so curious about this world is so cute. I also love how Julie can hold her own and isn’t your typical damsel in distress waiting to be rescued.

A great sci-fi adventure with lots of action. On the battlefield and of it. The story is interrupted at times with a little too much unnecessary sex. It depends on the kind of book you want to read. All in all it tells a good yarn.
