Eunha Park thought she was getting another chance at life when she awoke in the world of a novel. The only problem? Raeliana McMillan, the character she was reborn as, is fated to be killed by her fiancé! For the sake of her survival, she comes up with an idea—get into a fake marriage with a man more powerful than her groom-to-be. But when that protection comes in the form of Noah Wynknight, the duke with a warm smile and cold heart, Raeliana realizes she might be a bit in over her head…She’s going to regret this plan, isn’t she?
Literally the same premise from "Empress from Another World'' but done better.
This is one of the few "reincarnated into another word" stories I will ever consider GOOD. First of all, they actually show her face before she gets reincarnated, she's also not OP with overwhelming power or brains, she knows her limits so she studies about it. She is also the first character I've seen to be guilty towards the parents over taking over their daughter's body. She handles her emotions well and is the right amount of smart and cunning. AND ALSO I REALLY SHIP HER WITH NOAH!!!! (≧∀≦)
I really like the MC, she is so badass and not typical shojo MC. She also doesn't blush too much and is independent.
She also doesn't blush too much and is independent. I love the relationship between her and the Duke because they can stand on equal grounds. Btw, there are many hotties and I dont mind if all of them ends up being in love with her because she is such a good character!
A mí Noah me enamoró.
I binged the entire series in just two days—it was that addictive! Only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is that some parts felt kinda rushed, but overall, it’s a super fun read with amazing art and awesome twists.
This was SOOOOOOOOO good!! Well exceeded my expectations and made me laugh SO much!!
I cannot even begin to describe how fun of a read this story is! I think it took a little time for me to get sucked in, but goodness, once I was, that was it! I could NOT stop reading!! Once I started, I could not finish until the end, and GAH! Why must I have to wait for the next volume?! This series will definitely be on my list of I-must-read-it-as-soon-as-it-arrives!
I absolutely LOVED Raeliana and how strategic she is! I also loved her surprise when things worked in how "simple" it seemed and how she adored her younger sister. I also thought it touching that she felt bad for "tricking" her "family." That was moving and really felt that. <3
Anddd ooohhhh boy! The Duke! Goodness, I will confess that he is a handsome man and could not get enough of his conversation with Raeliana! THE UNDERLYING SNARK AND CLEVERNESS!! I'm 1000% here wanting this ship to sail and am DEEPLY enjoying see things unfold because of the contract! They both have a chemistry that leaps off the page and could not stop laughing at some of their antics and conversations. SO very good!
While it was a very minor part, I absolutely loved the conversation about not judging others based off their looks nor looking down on someone because of their race. Very minor, but very powerful and speaks a lot of Raeliana's character.
The art is GORGEOUS!! Very shiny and colorful and keeps you admiring every page even if you're trying to focus on reading the dialogue! LOL!
I thought the story was also very good and loved how the author wove in small tidbits of world building without being overwhelming. Well done!
I so much enjoyed this first volume and so sad that it's over! Raeliana is such a fun character to follow and even more so when Noah is involved (though she would probably not like me saying so LOL)! I truly cannot wait to read more in this series and look forward to the anime as well! Highly recommend!!
Very interesting starting point. I usually like this isekai set ups, that makes for crazy misunderstandings and fun. In this case, Raeliana seems very well adpated to her new world, let's see if what she knew still stands when she starts changing the plot she knew to her convenience.
If you're not sure if this manhwa is for you, you can read it legally and for free at Tapas app.
I love this more than life itself - I mean, fake dating, awesome characters, and beautiful art? It literally has everything. And yes, we are ignoring the fact that this started my ongoing manhwa addiction.
I won't lie, I've read this multiple times already. I am even in the process of buying the original light novels this series. I fell in love with Raeliana and Noah. And one of the many reasons for my loving this series is due to Raeliana not being blind and to denial how people are or who certain people feel for her and her ability to be honest and say exactly what needs to be said. But she isn't perfect and can miss the mark sometimes :)
Lovely isekai romance story. Simple, witty, charming and with a touch of mystery I am still waiting to uncover.
This is my favourite Manga to date. Noah's in so much trouble for Raeli it hurts. I want him. Raeliana is so hilarious. This Manga is hilarious. I love their relationship so much. The hand holding, the small touches, their banter. Season one was generous!
Not sure how I missed rating and reviewing this one.
I love the artwork, the story, the characters, all of it. Only complaint is it does the whole cliffhanger thing and it ends up going in a way I COMPLETELY didn’t see. But I love Nick! He’s the best!
4 solid stars.

A Korean woman named Eunha Park dies and ends up resurrected or reincarnated in the storyline of a novel she once read. It's a fantasy world that's vaguely based on 19th century England with members of the aristocracy all plotting about the arranged marriages that will best advance their status. Knowing her character, Raeliana McMillan. is doomed to be murdered early on in the plot, Eunha seeks to rewrite her fate.
It's a manhwa adaptation of an online novel and the concept isn't that original, so it all feels mild and watered down, but my library has the second volume so I'll give it one more try before letting it drop along the wayside.
At first like any isekai I’ve read, the way the MC dies is mostly over the top. I did get into it from the very start though but it became a drag fest after reading 26 chapters of this. I do understand why people might like this manhwa but to me, I felt the plot was poorly done and pretty generic enough if you ask me..
Storyline: After dying in her own world, Eunha wakes up in a novel as the young woman Raeliana. She has everything going for her new life, a kind and relatively wealthy family who loves her...but she then remembers the plot of this book....Poisoned to death by her own betrothed?!
Eunha didn’t wake up in a novel’s story just to get killed off again as an unfortunate extra! To be used as a plot line for the main leads! No, in this world Eunha needs to take control of Raeliana's life and survive!
To change her story she needs a cover… 6 months pretending to be the fake fiancée of the novel’s male protagonist, Duke Noah Wynknight. But will this cold-hearted, angel-faced demon of a man really help her avoid another ill-fated ending?! Or will she be cursed to "die young"?
There seems to be flux of reincarnation stories coming out in the manga world these days. This book, being another example of “I died and came back as this” story.
So with that said, this particular one, instead of coming back as a slime or goblin, Raeliana, a novelist in her previous life, comes “back to life” in one of her very own stories. A romance novel! She knows all the ins and outs of what’s going on in the drama, but she has no way of getting out of her situation.
Full color rendered panels, beautifully drawn characters, the story takes place in the 1800’s and there are devious plans afoot. Hardly an action manga, How Raeliana ended up at the dukes mansion is an interesting plot that develops at a medium pace. Both her and the duke each have their own means to use one another, and volume 1 ends with a cliff hanger that will certainly intrigue audiences hungry for day time soap operas.
This manga is completely in color which really compliments the lovely art. The story is the standard reincarnated into a novel trope and the fake-fiancé premise. Raeliana has made a bargain with a smiling devil to get out of an engagement with a fiancé fated to murder her. But has she traded one bad fiancé for a more dangerous one, and will her foresight save her this time? This volume was a strong start to this new series. I am excited to see where it goes.
This was probably one of the funniest things I have read in a while, I ADORED the dynamic between the main leads and I cannot wait until they start to develop feelings for each other, so good, so good.
