My name is Ava Green. Over my 32 years of being involved in the herbal medicine industry, I’ve experienced my fair share of ailments and remedies.
This has taught me so much about herbalism and inspired me to not only share my story with others but to take it a step further and offer support in the form of my first book "The Art of Herbal Healing: Herbalism for Beginners" to assist you in doing the same. And now I am just done writing and polishing my second book “Grow Your Own Medicine: Handbook for the Self-Sufficient Herbalist” to teach you more about herbs and how anyone can grow them whatever their living situation.
I want to share that knowledge with you now because I know that it can free so many people from the beginner's trial and error of creating herbal remedies, making it fun and accessible.
I am currently working on more books and will keep you updated! Make sure to join our FB group to keep yourself updated.

Ava Green has put together an excellent guide to medicinal herbs for beginners and experienced herbalists alike. She discusses the benefits of herbal remedies, how to start your own herb garden and the plants to include, and the correct language to use when discussing herbs and herbal remedies. She teaches how to harvest, process, and use herbs from your area. A key section is the one discussing the different uses for herbs and how they are prepared. There is an art to herbal medicine preparation and she captures the fundamentals of their production. We all have pet ailments that we are looking for effective remedies to address. Ava Green lists 71 common and uncommon ailments and herbal remedies to be prepared and used for each. This is a book that should be on the shelf of any aspiring herbalist.

This was such an incredible audio book . The author really made sure to add her own personality and her personal history with herbalism. Even though 60% of the herbs in this books don't n grow in the Caribbean, it was great for me to learn other fascinating herbs. Her guide on how to extract the medicinal properties from the leaves, flowers and roots was relaxingly easy to understand.

Wonderful read!

Contains some useful information especially if you’re a beginner. I’m surprised though by her surprise that certain remedies she tried worked. I wasn’t a fan of the audio rendition I listened to. The inflections were at times strange and verged on inappropriate even. Good breakdown of how to make a tincture and I even learned something new.

Good start its given me some ideas. But my issue is getting some of the herbs though. I like the step by step how to. Bug some of them seem a bit daunting. But overall a good beginners guide
