“八王之乱”实际上并不只有八个亲王，卷进这场内斗，并被屠杀的，至少有六十个亲王之多。因为也只有这八位亲王，曾经完全控制过中央政府，烜赫一时才这样称呼。

“八王之乱”的前奏曲是皇后贾南风发动的诛杀杨骏的政变。贾南风不属于“八王”，但她却是 “八王”的导师。“八王”踏着她走向死亡的脚迹，一个一个，坚决无畏，前仆后继，直奔屠场，连上帝都阻挡不住。
