I have decided to call the subtitle of this book “Mine and Yours”. The “Mine” part is obvious since I am sharing many of my own recurring dreams. However, when I refer to “Yours”, I am talking about two different Firstly, I am talking about recurring dreams which are common to many people (at least to Americans like myself or people from other Western or European countries or cultures). Secondly, I am talking about your recurring dreams (of you the reader) in the hopes that this book will encourage you to keep your own dream journal like I have done and from which I have personally benefitted. I do not consider myself to be an expert on analyzing dreams or on how to keep a dream journal. There is likely plenty of material available on the internet or in libraries or bookstores regarding these topics which the reader of this book may wish to explore. I can only tell you about how I have decided to keep my own dream journal by recording my dreams in a Word document which I originally titled Dave’s Dreams. I also decided to find images from the internet to include with my journal entries to make them more personally meaningful. For that reason, I have also included images in this book. The most common method I have heard of for keeping a dream journal is to keep a diary or notebook at your bedside, then to write down your dreams immediately after you wake up, so that you won't forget. I invite the reader to use that method or he or she wishes, or to use my method, or to invent their own method which might be more personally meaningful.
