Twist Valley

Rate this book
Rebecca Ballard just wants a break. As she struggles to balance life as a new mother with her attempts to put some magic back into her marriage, she sets off on a trip to fetch a few papers from the office. But will she ever make it home?

After breaking down on a desolate stretch of road, Rebecca is immediately wary when a man named Ted Armitage stops and offers to help. Having already fixed the problem herself, Rebecca gets going again, but Ted isn't a man who takes rejection well and he's soon on her trail. Before she knows what has hit her, Rebecca finds herself dragged away to a remote farm. And she's not the first woman who's ended up in Ted's clutches.

Trapped in a desperate race to survive, Rebecca begins to discover the true depths of Ted's madness. Although he tells her that her fate is in her own hands, and that she has a genuine chance to eventually walk away, Rebecca knows that she's going to have to take matters into her own hands. But just how much does Ted know about the land around his farm? And what's causing the strange noises that disturb his house at night? Rebecca quickly comes to realize that she might not be the only one in danger.

Twist Valley is the second book in the Ted Armitage trilogy, about a man whose murderous activities in rural England have somehow gone undetected for years.

Another chilling tale about the serial killer, Ted, whose craziness delves further into chaos.

I don't give spoilers so will just say that it's fast-paced and great storytelling. It's a shame that it has American spelling (English story) and typos and grammatical errors (e.g. no capital is needed for 'sir' unless at the beginning of a sentence or a prefix). Maybe a change of editor is necessary? However, I still enjoyed the story as a whole.

Worth a look.

Good read

I read the first book and really enjoyed it. Then I just read this 2 cd in the set. I was very interested until the end. I am really confused about what happened to the last girl, and who is John?? I reread the last chapter to see if I missed something but still don’t understand the ending. He went upstairs, the girl escaped, then next page girl is talking to him and looks up to see if John is still working ? I am completely lost on ending ???

Edit

So I realized there were a few mess ups like the fact that Rebecca at one point claimed she had a son then it went to a girl ...then also Ted said he had a family or wife at one point but Rebecca obviously did not pay attention or the author forgot she made Ted say he had one . I thought it was a good book just a few errors .

It leaves to.many questions

This.was.a.typical Amy Cross middle book in a series. Now we.know Armatich is up to something no good. Amy has been known to have a good twist at.the end of.the last book. I hope she.pulls it out in the end. I'm caught up in it now. I will have to see what is next...

Interesting

Not sure what to put here without giving too much away. I was a bit disappointed in the concept of this second book in the trilogy. Guess I was expecting a follow up to the first one.

TWISTED

Any you certainly did not disappoint this time. I'm not crazy about the way your books are being published in three pieces now. It is what it is.
This is definitely a horror novel and a scary scary one

Good story!

More of a prequel to the first book in this series. We find out more about the elusive serial killer Ted Armitage.

Read it in a couple of hours

Liked it and being a sequel it still offered twists and turns and a little more insight into the killer another great read.

Needs editing

Rebecca started off with a husband and son, but ended up with a husband and daughter. Pretty silly mistake to make.
