This is the third book in the Heir of Blood and Fire series, and it picks up right where it left off in the second book. It’s such an immersive read that pulls you in right from the beginning. Two men in Calla’s life are captured by Roehl, and Calla is desperate to save them. She’s also learning to use her powers, and dealing with some unexpected twists and turns. Calla and the others are also preparing for what is bound to be an epic battle between good and evil, all while other obstacles are continually thrown their way.

Calla goes through so much in this story, and she rarely has a moment to even process what has happened to her. This book shows a lot of Calla’s emotional journey, and there is a ton of angst, especially considering her most important relationships are threatened. She is fiercely determined and so committed to defeating Roehl. However, her journey is dark and dangerous, and she can never let her guard down. Her character arc is developed well, and she has come a long way from her initial introverted and reserved self.

Confident and brave, Calla works hard to master her abilities, which will aid her in defeating Roehl. I loved these scenes! Her powers are so unique, and she gets help from several friends to learn everything she can. I also love how Calla’s friends, new and old, support her throughout the story. They stand by her during some really difficult moments, and I think their unwavering support helps Calla deal with everything that’s happening. Her friends have a way of knowing when Calla needs a distraction, when she needs to wallow, and when she needs to fight. Yet, among the horrific loss and grief (and crying – there’s a lot of crying), Calla also experiences hope and friendship.

Of course, my favorite part of the story (and most stories) is the romance. The chemistry between Calla and Trystan is everything! Their relationship is really put to the test in this book, and Calla’s helplessness and desperation are at the forefront of the story. I don’t want to give too much away about this part of the story, but the author really shows how deeply Trystan and Calla feel for each other. Despite all of the challenges they face, they continue to fight for each other. I loved this couple from the beginning, and I am so hoping that they have a happy ending. (If not, there are others who will gladly take Trystan’s place).

Overall, this is an engrossing addition to the series, and I’m eagerly anticipating the fourth book! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Calla, Trystan, and the others as their stories continue. Thanks so much to Cameo Renae and Next Step PR for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

Heir of Blood and Fire series is here with book 3 - “Of Earth and Air”, coming live on 24 August. Thank you Cameo Renae for the ARC. It was a pleasure reading this one, she has got a thing with cliffhangers, one I was waiting to unravel itself. And when it did, she again left it off on an amazing cliffhanger for which I’ll have to wait till December as that’s when the last book in the series will come.

Well well well coming again to the braveness and determination of Calla, this girl has completely transformed herself from an introvert to a confident princess who is hell bent on learning about her new powers in order to protect her loved ones from one and only enemy Roehl.
The chemistry between Calla and Trystan is solid eye candy, they are my fav couple. I didn’t expect for the story to take such different turns so soon. Since I can’t disclose the turmoil, read and you’ll know.🤪
A new person is introduced and I adore that character. It’s a well written story with strong bonds of friendship who’ll do anything to save each other and go to greater lengths for it.

Of Earth and Air is a YA fantasy/paranormal and third installment in the Heir of Blood and Fire series. Picking up where Of Fire and Water left off, it was nerve wrecking and action packed adventure right from the page one. I finished this book in one sitting, i jus couldn't put it down. I was so engrossed in this world, characters, storyline and everything surprised me in the best way!!!

"I am fire. I am water. I am earth. I am air. And I am worthy."

And holy mother of emotions i wasn't expecting this book to be so angsty and raw. Ms. Renae totally slayed me with this one!! The anguish, pain and longing whoa kept me on edge... This story took me on rollercoaster of emotions and i loved every second of it!
Calla is a strong, amazing woman and she have grown so much during these books and oh my freaking god Trystan totally stole my breath and heart away in this book 😭i was crying and so utterly mesmerized by him! And Kai oh my!
The world building and magical elements are superb and gives perfect balance to the story and makes it a magnificent read!! Full of action, hope, romance and passion it will definitely left you wanting more!!!
The ending left me so happy and giddy with excitement. I loved it soooo freaking much!! It's my favorite book in this series so far!!!.

Can't wait to see what Ms. Renae have in store for us with the final installment.

Of Earth and Air is a spectacular deep dive into the very heart of this series. This is the refining fire that must be endured in order to prepare, refine, and perfect the hearts of those heading into battle. What is hidden will be made known, and what is known will never be able to hide. The lines are being clearly drawn, and nothing can unwrite them. The only thing that can change this epic battle is the gathering of love, courage, loyalty, and hope. For without these things, life is a barren wasteland void of what makes life worth living.

Calla moves ever forward in her quest for peace and safety. However, this quest will prove to be more treacherous and deadly then even she can imagine. Thankfully, she has people can rely on. A small circle of friends and family that are loyal to her no matter what happens. Without them, she would be lost and hopeless wandering in the wild desperate to prepare herself for battle. When hate and jealousy shatter her world, she must learn to not to lose hope. Pushing ever forward, she must preserve her heart and learn to put one foot in front of the other. What she doesn't quiet realize is that she has a bigger part to play then even she comprehends. When we let evil endure, we allow oppression and hate to rule. When this journey comes to its end, will there be something to celebrate, or will there only be the beginning of an endless time of sadness?

What can I say about Calla and Tristan that I haven't already? Together they are a force, and apart they are incredible. The push and pull between them took my heart to the very breaking point. What I loved most was how their friends rallied around them no matter what was going on. They came out of love and hope for the future, and their patience and loyalty was a blessed sight to behold. We need each other in order to make it through this life. We cannot go it alone and live a full and rich life. We were made for community, but there are times when we need space to find peace and locate our center of life.

Cameo Renae is a true genius in the young adult world. She is beyond a doubt the gold standard, and I find myself coming back to her rich and vibrant worlds. I have never been disappointed in her stories, and I know I never will for she writes and creates with her beautifully, stunning heart. This latest series of hers is a huge blessing and an extraordinary adventure that I am enjoying immensely! Give her books a chance. I guarantee that you will love them just as much as I do.

Oh my heart.

Of Earth and Air is the third installment of the Heir of Blood and Fire series. It starts off right where the sequel ended and honestly, I had no idea what I was going to get when it comes to these characters. Roehl just needs to go but he is such a good villain at the same time. He keeps me on my freaking toes but I seriously need to see him getting his ass kicked. Repeatedly.

Then there's the whole romance between Calla and Trystan. Or maybe the lack of it? Again, Roehl is an evil mastermind. The potion he gave Trystan just sounded pure evil and I was very worried after he made him drink it. Long story short, it was good to worry because him not remembering her hurt my heart so much. Heck, it broke hers into little tiny pieces. Robot Trystan was not fun.

As for everything else? It was so freaking easy to devour. I have no idea when the next book will become a thing but I'll be on the lookout. Mostly because I just need to know what is going to happen next. Seriously, I do.

I was so sure that this is a trilogy but it's not and I suspect I won't bother to read the fourth book when it comes out.

Anyways, I'm behind on literally everything (why did I decide to write an essay about slowbalisation when I don't like learning about trade???) and so I'm panicking. Complaining about Trystan will have to wait.

First of all... could the covers to this spectacular series be any more gorgeous?! They're seriously just so beautiful. Secondly... omgee! This book broke my heart! And that ending made me break out in happy tears. I'm absolutely feeling all the feels and trying to get that pouty faced look off of my face. I've been following Calla’s emotions and they've been all over the place, rightfully so. She just keeps surviving these unthinkable events and yet she prevails. This is one of my favorite series by one of my favorite authors and the love I have for this is immense. All the praise to the always ah-mazing Cameo Renae for bringing the actions, the heartache, the beautiful character growth and the unforgettable imagery. This series is a dream come true!

Calla and her prince are meant to be. While Kai also has such deep feelings for Calla, she just can't love him back in the same way. And dang, if my heart doesn't hurt for Kai! I'm so hoping that we see a happily ever after for him as well.

We see a lot of loss which causes Calla to basically cry herself through this brilliantly beautiful book. But it doesn't show her as being weak. It serves to show us her depth of feeling and how she pulls herself together and does what needs to be accomplished that day. She just keeps on going and it's just such a very humanesque quality that makes her so relatable. And it's both powerful and beautiful to behold.

This third book brought back so many of the friends Calla has made back into the midst of things and I really loved that! I can't wait to see this unstoppable team change their world. The next book can't arrive quickly enough. I am so here for this.

Oh em gee!!! I can't believe I'm already done reading Of Earth and Air already. I want more. Miss Renae has done it once again. Kept me hooked from the beginning. Super excited for the finale!! **Thank you so much for the ARC** I enjoyed reading this book just as much as the other two books.

FAVORITE QUOTE:
"I am fire. I am water. I am earth. I am air. And I am worthy."

Book 3 picked up right where Book 2 (Of Fire and Water) ended. Calla is on a mission to save those who she loves dearly. Calla's character development in this book is just epic. She was strong. She was fierce. She fought her emotions and went on a journey to rescue two most important men in her life. Coming to Trystan now. Where to begin??? I'm obsessed with him. I'm a sucker for big bad book boyfriend but I just love how well Trystan's character is. He reminded me so much of Cade (from Hidden Wings series). He just takes your breath away throughout the entire series. I want to say so much more but I'm trying to keep this absolutely spoiler free. Trystan is every girls dream man even soulmate. Kai was definitely the surprise package of this story. He's come a long way throughout the entire series. Eek!! From happy to sad to angry to frustrated, I went through so many emotions while reading this book. Thank you so much Miss Renae for taking us on Trystan and Calla's rollercoaster ride. I can't wait to see what the FINALE has in store for us.

First, thank you to the author for letting me read Of Earth and Air in advance in exchange for an honest review.
From the moment I started this book, I couldn't put it back down. I read it in one sitting, as I have not done in quite a long time. Up to this point, Of Earth and Air was by far my favorite installment in the series.
The story picked up immediately after the second book and I was instantly intrigued and completely back in the world of Calla and her friends. I loved all the unexpected plot twists and surprises that contributed to the story very well. Calla finally starts to understand herself a little better and goes through a lot of character growth.
The plot was very unique, and I liked how it's not the sort of cliche story where the ending is predictable.
I also wanted to touch on the romance a bit, which was a pretty important piece in this series, so beautiful and terribly sad at the same time, and I have to say that I haven't had such breathtaking romance in a LONG time. This epic relationship just left me on the edge of my seat for SIX HOURS. However, I am glad that not everything is about love, and that there are still these strong impenetrable friendships leaving us crying our hearts out.
The ending left me completely unsatisfied and yearning for the next book!
To sum it up, Of Earth and Air was, without doubt, a five-star read, and I recommend this to everyone who loves YA Dark Fantasy!

I received a free copy from the author.

This is the third book in the Heir of Blood and Fire series.  I absolutely love these books.  They're so engaging with the characters and the storyline will have you hooked.  If you haven't read any of them please don't read the rest of my review until you're caught up.

Calla has recently found out she's the heir of Incendia and was blessed by the fire goddess.  That might be a lot to live up to, according to some.  Calla has tackled it gracefully and head on from the start.  The evilness that's after her requires her to be on her toes at all times.  No lounging around at this point....straight up on the run for her life type action.

There's so much going on in this series and it's hard to write a review that won't spoil it for anyone.  In Of Earth and Air, Calla learns how to utilize her earth and air elements to protect herself and others.  It's necessary to fight against the evil that's stalking her.

Two major events happen in this book. Of course you'll be rooting for Calla and her friends to win the fight. There may be a surprise or two for you as well.

I hope you enjoy this edition of the series.  I can't wait for the next one!

I couldn't put this book down! Calla has had so much heartbreak in a short time and it appears that Roehl isn't done torturing Calla yet. As her group of friends and protectors grows, Calla feels the weight of the responsibility on her shoulders.

This story is a mixture of joy and sadness, action from beginning to end and angsty heartbreak.the war between good and evil rages on. Everyone knows the big clash is coming. Will Calla be ready to accept her destiny and destroy Roehl once and for all? This book ends on a cliffie but we have been promised a finale in Book 4.

ARC from NetGalley

2.5 stars

I should have known what was coming after book 2. This was bad. It was uneventful and boring. There was so much in this book that was just lazy. Instead of finding another way for there to be some kind of romantic tension, Trystan ends up forgetting Calla through magical coercion. The ending was bad and also lazy. Suddenly he remembers her! THE END. Nicolai is somehow always off running errands any time Calla ends up in shit, and then he comes back and says "this will never happen again" and then it does, again.

And how can Calla become stronger in the next book? This book is a big jack-off reminder of how amazing and powerful she is and how much everyone loves her for no fucking reason. Next book she will grow diamond hair and shit out bolts of electricity

I don't want to read the fourth fucking book. There shouldn't be a fourth fucking book. NOTHING HAPPENED IN THIS BOOK. Okay well I guess that isn't entirely true On that note, how is it that her and she just kind of sniffles for 6 minutes and moves on to swooning over Trystan again?

Bah. Garbage.

I absolutely love Cameo Renae's books. The characters in Of Earth & Air will have you hooked from the beginning. I really love Trystan and Kai, more so Trystan. The connection Trystan and Calla have will swooning. There was so many twists and turns in this story, just as soon as you thought you had things figured out or could predict what was going to happen next, Cameo unexpectedly through in a twist and you thought wrong. I love when books aren't predictable and surprise you. Of Earth & Air comes with all the FEELS! There were a couple times tears were brought to my eyes and my heart just broke. The ending left me with the best hangover possible BUT I want and need more. I can't wait to read more of these characters, the world and character building in this series is one only Cameo could come up with and keeps you entertained from beginning to end.

I loved this next installment in the Heir of Blood & Fire series, especially the new twist of Trystan completely forgetting who Calla is. Can we talk about angst?? Oof. I also loved reading Calla's journey and growth throughout this series so far from a "normal" human into a badass heir and rightful queen of Incendia. I absolutely can not wait for the fourth book, and to watch Calla battle Roehl!!!!

I am a little bit over Calla constantly getting kidnapped (or at least they attempt to kidnap her) - it feels like they try to take her at least 3 or 4 times a book. Calla even makes fun of it herself here in book 3. So I'm secretly hoping there are no more kidnappings in this series. We'll see!

Of Earth and Air is the third book in this series and was amazing!

Calla has really grown since we first met her and she continues to get stronger and more confident with her powers. Calla is a strong, fierce warrior that will do anything to protect the ones she loves.

The world building in this story is amazing. You will fall in love with the characters and the plot line as there is lots of drama and action. This was an amazing dark fantasy book that will draw you in and have you on the edge of your seat to the very end. Can’t wait for the next!

A paranormal story with mystery, suspense, romance, heartbreak, deceit, danger and darkness. This book is a fantastic addition to the series as the drama builds between good and evil. The characters are lovable (mostly), drawing you into the story and holding on until the very last page. I’m more than ready for the next book. I recommend this book, this series and especially, this author. Great storytelling.

This picks up where book 2 left off, with the action and pace picking up after the first few pages.
It's so hard to not give away aspects of the story when writing a review. It's full of action, choices that Calla must make despite how they torment her, and a romance that will wring your heart. It has the most perfect ending, setting it up for the fourth and final book. Can't wait!

Of Earth and Air is an upper YA dark fantasy book and the third installment from the Heir of Blood and Fire series.

Digging into this book was quite immersive, interesting, and exciting. It was swoon-worthy, action-packed, and compelling. The whole premise was just very entertaining and full of many things that you wouldn't expect from a book.

I honestly enjoyed it ever since I started reading the first installment to the third one. It was fun, the writing was impressive as well as the plot. The plot will leave you giddy, excited, and hanging (cliffhanger). I finished it in one sitting because you couldn't put it down.

The character's chemistry was great. Calla and Trystan's relationship was just solid, angsty, and raw. However, I've said from the other books that my connection towards the characters and even from the side characters of this series was still in the process of embracing them, I still couldn't feel anything from them even now in the third book. I'm still in that process, and it's very disappointing on my part.

Overall, this book was a ride and worth reading. I just hope revisions will make this book even better, and I expect more from the last installment of the series. Please, no more cliffhangers, and give us the happy ending we deserve.

Ps. I just want to point on something I find so funny and ridiculous from the book:
"Brynna was fine with it because she loved to travel, and Sabine was giddy to just experiencing the world outside of Morbeth. Thalia was so relaxed about everything."

I personally find it so funny and ridiculous when I've read that (but there are few of them) and I'm so sorry to point this out despite the fact that I was reading the ARC version of this book. My point is, you're not supposed to say that when you are in pursuit or in hiding from your enemy. Your life and your friend's life was in danger and you have the guts to make it as a fun adventure. Nevertheless, it was still a great book.

It's hard for me to write this review without giving anything away but I can honestly say that this story played ping-pong with my emotions but I still can't get enough. I was nowhere near ready for the story to end, and I cannot wait for book 4 to get answers to some of my unanswered questions. Like what happened with Princess Ivy after Calla and her crew left? Will Trystan's father ever accept Calla? Will Calla and her only surviving family member truly go back to overthrow the false Queen? So many questions and yet I still need more of Calla and Trystan. I feel as if there is never enough of them together and I need more, I want more. Roehl has finally gotten or shall I say taken, something he has always wanted giving him more power in his twisted game of revenge. I truly hope he gets what he's deserved after everything he has done. Revenge is best served cold and I hope Calla and everyone else gets a turn at him. This is a story full of magic, adventure, friendships, undeniable love, family, pain, growth and more. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I was not ready for this one to end and I need to find out how things end.

Review to self.

It is 10:53 pm and I’m actually tired… I will recap this tomorrow before I start the next one.
***
4.5

The actions from some of the characters make me want to scream. Like why are you like this?!?

Sabine?? Brynna? Like please go sit in a padded cell you are not helping.

Also the amnesia arc actually forced the two main couple to speak to each other although everyone is trying to convince a man that he has chemistry with a girl he barely knows and it’s honestly depressing. Like Markus said, it might be for the better.

I’m upset Morpheus never got to meet his son. The family reunion just got even smaller.

Ohh one thing I am not a fan of. If Tahlia ends up with Kai, I don’t like how VERY interested he is in Calla. I’d get it if he wasn’t obssesed with her but it’s disrespectful to be flaunting it in front of Tahlia who will know she is his backup option.

And that’s saying alot because I love Kai.

Other than that goodread. Nothing really happened. Because they are all waiting for the plot train. Maybe we’ll finally get somewhere.

How does a series just get better and better? With an amazing author who keeps your toes curling, unexpected twists and a real slow romance that finally meets the ultimate ending! Calla finally has her soulmate!

I waited this whole book for this ending and there is still another to go! I can tell this next one is going to be epic if the writing continues to be absolutely captivating.
I was turning page after page; I flew through it!
The action continued and with all the extra twists, I couldn't fault a single moment.

Finally, Calla has a team that is going to support her through to the end of this war with Roehl. I expect some death in the last book but I have everything crossed it is none of my favourites.

The details throughout this read set so much into motion and leave your questioning what is going to happen next. I'm dying to know how Calla's story ends so l'm just gonna leave this and start the last book! I'll see you back for the review!

Of Earth and Air is book 3 in the Heir of Blood and Fire Series.

I am loving this series. Book 3 again takes off where book 2 need and Cameo Renae also gave a little recap while reading which I truly appreciate! The book leads to new discoveries and opens up new questions. The story is still focused on Calla and her abilities and what she can do. The group is still combating evil and trying to stay alive while on the run. I love the romance aspect and can't wait to see what happens between Calla and Trysten. I truly thought this was a 3 book series so the cliffy at the end threw me for a loop. Then next book in the series will be released at the end of the year and I can't wait to get my hands on it! This book only took me a couple of hours to read as I flew through the pages. This entire series is a 5 star read and I am looking forward to the next chapter! I give this one 5 stars as well!

omg, ok this was so amazing, and the love is just so beautiful.
as we all know our beloved Cameo decided to kill us with another cliffhanger... and now I just need book 4 haha

overall definitely amazing, the wordbuilding, the charachters,...
I love that eventhough cella grew so much in book 2, she keeps growing and developing. Cameo as such an amazing gift for worldbuilding and origanality, it just blows my mind. the worldbuilding gets better and better, and the new charachters are also very interesting.

she is one of my favorite authors, and I was scared that this book would disappoint, but no, this one was even better then the last one, and I am so exited to see how it will end.

definitely recommend this to everyone,
and thank you so much Cameo for an ecopy of the book and letting my participate in yet again a tour for her book.
