So many unanswered questions...so many twists and turns...
And I'm not spoiling things here. Go and grab your copies. This is an amazing read, with wonderful characters especially, and the language is also beginner-friendly.
The author has done a wonderful job with the character development and plot setting. All the Main Characters and Sub characters were well crafted. The writing style is pretty interesting and the language is not that tough so even the beginner can start with this.
And I would especially recommend this book to anyone who likes love stories.
Synopsis: The story revolves around Kashika who just takes her first step into a hard corporate life while being in an emotionally abusive relationship with Vivaan, which has taken a heavy toll on her lifestyle, but is unable to let go.
As the circumstances turn sour with physical abuse making away into their relationship, she meets Vidit, who compels her to walk away and start a new life.
Vidit and Kashika start finding solace in each other, which causes problems for both of them as Vidit is betrothed to someone else. Kashika feels Vidit is her soulmate but can't do anything about it.
The characters in the story are unable to choose between their past and present, and duty and their heart, which makes them entangled.
I am in love with the name of the book, it just goes so perfectly for the story. I picked this book just by reading the title and I am happy with my decision. The writing of the author is so smooth that I couldn't get to know when I reached the last page. I would recommend this book to everyone who likes love stories and especially to people who are in love so that they can understand the depth of love.
The story revolves around a young girl who is a corporate worker named Kashika. Unable to proceed onward from her relationship which is emotionally abusive as her Boyfriend losses temper and hits her.
As a fresh breeze Vidit strolled into Kashika's life. Making her feel more worth leaving as they became more intimate with each other. Will the breeze last longer? As Vidit is about to tie his note with some else.
The book is filled with different emotions. The author penned it beautifully. The book is a short read and it will be a nice pick for every romance reader
Aptly titled as per the story, Lost Love Late Love by Namrata Gupta was a very well written book on a sort of different topic which we don't see in our usual Romance Genre.
Toxic relationships are not only draining and depressing, but they also manage to create a negative energy around the individual. The book does deal with such toxic relationship, wherein our Main Protagonist Kashika Sharma is in a situation where her ‘boyfriend’, Vivaan keeps constant watch on her and tries to micro manage her life on a minute to minute basis.
Right from the first chapter, I could see the red flags in their relationship: The constant dominance, continuous disrespect, and disregard of the personal choice, no space or freedom.
Now, I admit I have never been in a toxic relationship before, so I cannot say from personal experience, but I absolutely don't understand how the other (Supposedly victim) in this relationship stand the another.
Vivaan should be glad that he is just a fictional character, otherwise, if I ever met him in real life, he would have gotten a swift kick from me for acting like a jerk. Leopards never changes its spot and the male MC was definitely an example of this.
Vidit seemed like a sweetheart at the beginning and in a way, he was far way better than Vivaan, but I was not at all a happy trooper with the way he behaved as the book progressed.
The one character which I loved was that of Kashika. Sure, she had her flaws, but my heart just broke for her. This girl deserved better than what life dealt with.
In all, this was a very nice read for me, which I finished reading in mere two sittings. The language was lucid and perspicuous. I am going to give this book FIVE LOVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Abuse is not always physical sometimes its emotional !! And if you remotely have the feeling that your relationships has these symptoms - turn around and run before its too late !! No one deserves it...
This book had the potential to be a great book that could have ended up being one of my top favourites but ended up disappointing me . Read on to see why .. It started off great and I was hooked into it but the second half was a let down !!
The book is about Kashika an IT professional stuck in an abusive relationship with Vivaan her boyfriend of 2yrs . How she later becomes friends with Vidit who is engaged to Natasha and where her life goes from there.
Pros: 🌸 Quite a short read (116 pages). Read it in one shot in about 2.5hrs 🌸The size of the book is not the only reason I finished it in one sitting the first half of the book kept me so hooked . Every girl is sure to be reminded of someone in kashik’s story. 🌸Fast paced storyline! 🌸Lucid writing style 🌸 The book has a lot of details on abusive relationships.. Its symptoms and ways to get out of it etc . This is a one stop guide for young girls. It could be your bible. I wish My younger self had found this book.
Cons: 🌸The female protagonist kashika was thick skulled and self loathing. She wont be my favourite lead character. 🌸 The second half between Kashika and Vidit were too long I had a feeling some things where unnecessary and repeated over and again ( you will know it when you read) dont want to spoil it for you. 🌸 The ending - hated it soooooo much ! I still cannot digest it !!
Neverthless its been a long time since a book had me this hooked and sitting up at 2 am to finish it at one shot with a midnight maggi 😅 Thanks @Spellboundark and @namrata511 for the review copy .
Kashika Sharma has a heart of a child. Her boyfriend, though seemed like someone over possessive about her, turns out to irritate us through his questions every time and taking more advantage of her social life. From the size of dress she wears, the people she should talk to, till using (spying?) her Facebook account, he had some strict rules to be followed by her.
The author's take on emotional abuse is impressive.
That day, on their way to meet, seeing her talking Vidit, let his mind turn loose and there they broke up, after an unexpected incident. Vidit and Kashika grew closer in friendship without fear, as Vidit is already engaged. He helps her to understand that her previous love was not actually love, but just emotional abuse. Slowly Vidit and Kashika develop feelings for one another. But he is already engaged! And Vivaan is back too!
It is a very short read, a few pages more than 100 and could be read in a sitting or two. The end was shocking and I don't really want it to end that way. The flow of the story is good with a right mixture of emotions and so is the character sketch of Vivaan, Vidit and Kashika. There are some spacing errors in the book and the punctuation formatting of dialogues in the last half is better than those of the first few pages. The writing style is simple to understand.
This is a story about a love story of Kashika, Vivaan and Vidit. Vivaan and Kashika are in relationship from last two years on the other hand later Kashika give up and made Vidit her best friend who is engaged with Natasha. After break up from Vivaan, Kashika feels that Vidit is her high-quality friend and wishes to make him her Soulmate however she can now not do something about with their engagement. The story turns and getting more Complex when Vivaan tries to reconnect with Kashika. For Vivaan's behaviour Kashika left her but is this time Vivaan actually modified and what about Vidit. Is he moreover have feelings about Kashika? A lot of complexity and questions arises. To recognize the reply of this question one want to have to go through the book. The ending was once as soon as very emotional and stunning too. The book title is as follows the story of this book. Though it is a love story however now no longer that variety of repetitive tales which we normally see. This is fascinating to be aware of and the end. The plotting of characters and the combo of twist and turns are very amazing. If you pick to learn about some thing like adventurous love then this is best to read.
Life is too short not to be chasing what feeds your soul and flushes your heart with happiness. There is no right time to do something that you wish. Life is all about living for the moment doing things that pleases you and being happy today, rather than pushing it. The book is written on these lines. The book has a well planned plot, fast paced narration, crisp language, and good characterization that takes the reader on a virtual journey into the life of Kashika and Vidit keeping you guessing with the twists included by the author.
What I liked? The smooth narration instantly connects the reader to the plot. The details about the Emotional Abusive syndrome is very informative The poetry that has been included in the plot is like the cherry on the cake.
What didn't go well for me? Though the book was very interesting, the twist in the climax was something that I didn't enjoy. I wish the author had given a different ending.
My Verdict A good book for readers who like emotional fiction.
The Story centers on a girl Kashika, who works in a corporate company and also in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend Vivaan. It’s been hard on her life as she wasn’t able to move on from her relationship.
The Relationship with Vivaan has taken toil in her life, Vivaan was not only draining her mind but he was also hurting her physically as well.
One Day, another guy “Vidit” walked into her life and slowly changed the equation of her relationship, and together they started feeling intimate, with everything started growing from a healthy friendship their own equations were changing swiftly without being realized.
The sad part is Vidit is already engaged and it’s only a matter of days before he gets married and to make it even worse Vivaan comes back into the picture.
What will happen next? Will Kashika be able to find her Soul mate??
Review:- Even though there were many characters but the overall emphasis was provided upon three main characters, Writing was lucid and the poetry was beautiful as well. If you are someone who loves to read romance then you must go for it
This is a beautiful blend of emotions and feelings of several characters who are interlinked to each other. There are numerous characters in the book and each has been given sufficient scope to contribute to the plot. Yet the book focuses mainly on three characters- Kashika, Vivaan and Vidit. Kashika is in an emotionally abusive relationship with Vivaan, which has badly affected on her mental wellness and fitness and now affecting her lifestyle. Day by day it is becoming worse with physical abuse. One day, she meets Vidit, who helps her to walk out of her relationship and start a new life. Vidit and Kashika start giving company to each other and it starts bothering Vidit as he is into someone else. Kashika feels Vidit is her soulmate but she is helpless currently. The situation becomes worse when Vivaan comes back in Kashika's life. Kashika feels disturbed between her past and present. There's just few weeks left for Vidit's marriage when Kashika decides to confront Vidit about their relationship. Will Vidit choose Kashika or Will Kashika choose Vivaan? The book is a complicated love triangle. It's emotional yet conforming in its own way. The narration is good. The language used is lucid. The words selection is easy and simple making it a good read for all.
When I first started reading it after some pages I thought it is a little predictable but to my wonder I was so shocked when I got the ending.
So the story revolves around a girl names kashika who is abusive relation for the longest time and then one day that man of her life viviaan just crossed his limits and she has to leave him. Then he met a colleague named vidit in his office who seemed to calm her down and getting her back to her real self and In that process they both fell in love but but but vidit is engaged and going to marry Natasha is six months. Does vidit turn off her wedding or part away from kashika?? Such a interesting story with so many lessons to teach us
If you love someone, don't let them go, at least not without telling them how you feel.
My ratings: 4/5 Kashika is in an emotionally abusive relationship with Vivaan. One day she just realizes she's had enough. While she is still questioning her decision and struggling to move on, in comes Vidit. He helps her cope with the emotional trauma and they connect at a level that they've never had with anyone before. Their bond slowly starts to move beyond just friendship, but there's no scope of any romance here because Vidit is already engaged. Will Kashika be able to really move on with her past baggage and current dilemma?
What I liked about the book: -> It addresses the turmoil and trauma that a person in an emotionally abusive relationship goes through. -> The few poems in the story work like a balm on a grieving/healing heart. -> The climax not only takes the reader by surprise but also makes us realize the importance of taking care of those we love; especially those who are struggling emotionally. -> Kashika's story around her relationship with Vivaan is so relatable. Every girl is sure to be reminded of herself or of someone she knows who has been through a similar experience of a toxic relationship. -> The book has helpful insights on abusive relationships, like their symptoms and ways to get out of it, et al. It could easily be a one-stop guide for young girls and a handy friend around warning signals when in a relationship. -> The last chapter with Vidit's PoV.
What I did not like about the book: -> Kashika comes off as a damsel in distress across the whole book which becomes frustrating to read at times. -> As a reader I found myself wondering why Kashika's parents never notice, question, or intervene about her personal (or even her professional) life.
Quotable quotes: -> Perfect arrangements looked superficial, made up but natural imperfectness looked tempting and exotic. -> We cannot judge every situation by the same scale. -> There’s a fine line between loving someone and controlling someone. If you love someone, you want to see them happy even if you’re not the reason for it. -> Food isn't the only thing that matters. It is the person you're sharing it with that makes the food even more fulfilling. -> Coffee and alcohol are always in close competition when it comes to making people bond over them. -> Indecision is also a decision. -> We, as humans, complicate things more in our imagination than they are in reality.
Love is the most important and powerful emotion but this is also the genre which holds more disappointed stories than success stories. Why does love fail? Who should be blamed for its failure?
These are some of the common questions that disturbes my mind when I think the feel of love. This story with a different shade of love and its explanation of love. The story is about Kashika Sharma a young, independent and beautiful girl who is in love with Vivaan. Vivaan is a possessive boyfriend who believes he owns the one he loves. Vidit Kashika's colleague enters as a saviour who tries to save her from an emotionally abusive relationship. Will Vidit be able to save Kashika? What is the bond between Kashika access Vidit? Will Vivaan come back to Kashika?
"Sometimes, someone can love you passionately with their feelings and still be unable to love you the right way with their actions."
While reading the story I could connect to many of my friends who are or has been into such relationships, but the above words are written for me because I can connect and understand what they mean; not everyone is comfortable in expressing but that doesn't mean they don't love you. There magic of the story for me is the simplicity in its narration which makes each character real, it is a fiction tale that can be found everywhere - everywhere there is a Kashika (a sweet, strong yet sensitive girl who believes in love), a Vivaan (a loyal lover with a dark shadow) and a Vidit (a matured, understanding and helping person with hidden emotions). I'm not a fan of romance genre but this is a book I enjoyed till the very end. I was waiting for the climax of the tale but found it a bit more abrupt.

⭐ My Rating - 5/5⭐ The book " Lost Love Late Love " is a fictional story written by Author Namrata Gupta.
Before going into the review, I would put forward some words from my mind. Any relationship to be successful, doesn't require any high level qualities. But on a long run, they must have trust, be truthful, give freedom to live the way they like and most importantly to be themselves without faking it. When their is any compulsion or enforcement of anything on the other person just because you don't like it, it highly affects the relationship. If the same continues to overrule a relationship then that's what we call an abusive or toxic relationship. This book is one which highly concentrates on this topic. The story revolves around Kashika, a 22 year old girl who is in such a toxic relationship with a guy called Vivaan for almost 2 years. He actually keeps her under his limitations and boundaries. He is highly dominating and doesn't let her do things without his acceptance. She is completely controlled by him in all aspects. Yet her love doesn't let her give up on him, hoping that one day he would change. But things are worse and she eventually leaves him. When she was into depression and coping up from it, their enters Vidit. He comes into her life to bring her happiness and joy. He is actually engaged with Natasha. Kashika develops feelings for him. But little did they know that this new relationship would bring twists in their life. What happens in the end? Read the book and find out what this book has to unfold your thoughts. Overall it was a good read and readers could relate themselves with the plot at some places.
Most of us could not even recognize the value of a person when they were with us. Once gone everything feels apart and that's where this book plays an important part where every situation, every character seems so real that everything is happening with our real life. Kashika has to offer a huge part of her life as a story to the readers as everyone faces its own challenges along with the passing of time. Everyone wants a healthy relationship but eventually, everything becomes toxic after certain time. Living in a toxic relationship with vivaan, Kashika has put up her efforts to settle down the toxic relationship, that is beholding her. Now, who are the people and what happens next is something the readers needs to discover who have yet not picked up this book.
This book is a must pick for all. Author, Namrata Gupta, is a very young talented author. The plot of this book is fantastic. The title of the book is very much engaging and the cover of this book looks apt along with the title of this book. This book will never make you feel bore. Specially the drastic change in one's life is not predetermined with time. Everything has its own consequences.
I can feel each and every character to perform their roles in front of me which is the success of the author as the book. The entries and the performances of all the characters are very much smooth and easy going for the readers to converge. The narrative style used in this book is also praise- worthy and beautiful. Cheers to the writer.

The author talks about emotional abuses which many women are facing but they are not ready to give up on their relationships as these women are bound to societal pressure, financial dependency etc. Read the book and I would say spread an awareness about it.
Kashika takes her first step into a hard corporate life, while being in an emotionally abusive relationship with Vivaan, which has taken a heavy toll on her lifestyle. Vidit, who compels her to walk away and start a new life. Vidit and Kashika start finding solace in each other, which causes problems for both of them as Vidit is betrothed to someone else. The entire situation becomes more complicated when Vivaan tries to reconnect with Kashika, and rekindle their relationship. Kashika feels tormented between her past and present, while Vidit is unable to choose between duty and his heart, making them feel stuck. Will Kashika and Vidit fight for their love? Has Vivaan really changed?
I was interested to read this after reading the blurb and it didn't disappoint me!
This was an enjoyable read. First of all I would like to say all the characters were well crafted. Kashika was easy to relate, readers will sympathize with her. Her character was complex and dimensional. At first I found the plot a bit predictable, it did have good twists and turns. The ending totally left me shocked, that I had to read the latlines 3-4 times to fully understood it. The writing style is engaging and will keep the readers engrossed . If you like books with some drama and love than this is the perfect book for you.
||Love isn't complicated it's the people those who make it complicated ||

Lost Love Late Love is a fictional book written by Namrata Gupta. The main protagonist of the book is Kashika Sharma. She was in a relationship with Vivaan, he was more of a possessive partner with some rules to be followed in a relationship. When she was talking to her friend Vidit, after seeing them together he lost his temper and then they broke up. Vidit was already engaged and as a friend he made Kashika realise that her past relationship was emotional abuse and not a relationship. But they started falling for each other. What happens next is in the story?
The cover page of the book is beautiful and the title is suitable for the book. The theme behind the book is inspiring, the difference between emotional abuse and love is important to understand.
The plot of the book is maintained perfectly, first half of the book was very gripping and interesting. But the second half was not so much good and it kind of ruined the vibe of the story but still the plot was good.
The portrayal of the characters are done very well. I kind of hated Vivaan in the beginning of the book but that's the power of portrayal. The central character of the book was very dumb and insensitive of choice.
The language of the book is simple and perfect for beginners. It is a short read and can be read in one go. The narration of the book is done well in first half of the book. Overall, Iike the book and it is a one time read for me.
It is a short read of 116 pages. In such a short length, the author brings into light various issues that one faces in an unhealthy relationship. The story is of Kashika, who was in a relationship with Vivaan. Things were changing rapidly in her career life. While coping up with these, Kashika undergoes mental abuse from Vivaan, which soon takes a twist into physical abuse.
Vidit, her colleague, advises her to break up with Vivaan, making her realize just how unhealthy her relationship was. Soon, Vidit and Kashika find solace in each other and start getting close. However, Vidit is engaged, making it impossible for them to have a relationship. To make matters worse, Vivaan contacts Kashikha, asking for another chance. Stuck between past and present, Kashika needs to decide what is best for her.
The author has done a fabulous job of bringing into light, through this fictional story, relationship issues, abuses, and dilemmas that women can face in their life. The pace is good, with the three intriguing characters. The book is a short read with a well-explored plot. There lacks of a certain depth to the characters. I expected Kashika to be more mature, rather than her experiencing prolonged periods of indecisiveness.
Recommended to all looking for a short-fictional read.
This is a story of Kashika who's in a relationship with a very narrow minded, possessive and extremely abusive boyfriend. This novel can be extremely frustrating and tough one but On the other hand it's both fascinating and sad and a bit heartwarming to see the exposure of Kashika to the real world when she meets vidit and discover that there is other life than being under control of an abusive and possessive boyfriend. We get to see her strive for a way to find freedom and love with vidit and her emotions, feelings and interactions all are very well presented.
I didn't know what to expect when I picked this one up, the title and the cover is what actually pulled me in. It was a fascinating and captivating read that had me immersed from the beginning. Author did an amazing job, creating great characters and beautiful dialogues. Skillfully written and constructed, this novel will have you turning the pages from beginning to end. The story flowed from scene to scene with ease, and the author shows exceptional ability when it comes to storytelling. There are plenty of attention-grabbing moments in this page turner that will take the reader on a truly spellbinding journey. It was a steady-paced, quick, and easy to follow along read. Would recommend!!
The book "Lost Love Late Love" by Author "Namrata Gupta" is fictional story of Kashika a MBA postgraduate who have recently started working in a corporate job.
The story revolves around the toxic relationship of Kashika with her boyfriend Vivaan, his conflicting behaviour and constant attempt to control her life. After ending this toxic relationship, Kashika becomes friend with Vidit, her office met. They start to grow emotions for each other but Vidit is already engaged to Natasha and Kashika cannot do anything about it. Meanwhile, Vivan wants to come back in her life. This dilemma creates a huge confusion in Kashika's life. What will Kashika do now? To know, you should grab the book.
What I most like about this book is, it gives us a sense of toxic relationship and how a relationship should not be! Every relationships has their ups and downs. But toxic ones destroy the whole you. A healthy relationship will never require you to sacrifice your any passion, dream or dignity.
What I didn't like about the book is, it is quite fast paced but over-all it gives a nice touch to the story.
My recommendations are for everyone out there, so that they can understand what type of relationship they are having.
