Inked Duet #2

Love Buzz

Rate this book
Love is most glorious. Love also rips you apart.

Jonas
When I woke this morning, I didn’t expect this. For Autumn’s past to step in and rip away everything I love. Autumn asks for patience, but with each passing day, she slips farther from my grasp.

I refuse to lose Autumn or Clementine. Not to him. Not to anyone.
They are my girls. Always.

As the picture perfect life I envision with them slowly fades, the pain beneath my sternum grows more powerful.
Each passing day, my chest tightens at the loss of them.

I never imagined I would discover the love of my life, only to lose her.

Autumn
When I woke this morning, I never saw this coming. My ex storming back into my life and threatening to steal everything I hold precious. Not just my daughter, but also my livelihood. And I refuse to let him do either.

Until this ends, I must let go of my newfound selfishness and focus solely on Clementine.
Until this ends, I must forget about love. Temporarily.

When I memorized Jonas’s heartbeat, I had no idea I would need to recall it in my lonely bed so soon.
I had no idea my heart would ache so profusely in his absence.

I have never known pain like this. And I have never been so torn.

…hopefully, our love will survive the storm.

With that ending in book 1, I just knew this read was going to play with my heart in the best of ways. This author's writing is so beautiful and alluring. I'm always enthralled with it and it keeps getting better and better!!

Jonas. Sweet, caring and ever so patient Jonas. My gosh, if a book boyfriend ever existed it would be him hands down! I adored him and the way he loved his girls so completely. No matter the obstacles throw in their way, he had enough strength for all of them to get through it.

Autumn. Brave and selflessly beautiful Autumn. She has always put everyone and everything above her own desires. She loves her little girl Clementine something fierce. She would do ANYTHING for that sweet one. She did too... some of the things she did and the decisions she made were only for her daughter's benefit. Even if they caused her heart to break, over and over - her little girl was safe and with her, that's all that mattered in her eyes.

This book was filled with twists I didn't see coming, hope overflowing and love beyond measure.
These duets are some of my favorites. Gavin from the first one and Jonas from this one we ALWAYS be my favorite book boyfriends.

Sadly this just didn't work out for me. 💔 I just felt bored and wanted to DNF many many times. Like just with book 1 in this duet it just felt like the storyline was stagnant and wasn't going no where. No angst. No drama.

Love Buzz is available now, and the Inked Duet is complete!

When I finished writing the Click Duet (Through the Lens and Time Exposure) two years ago, I knew Jonas's story would be next. I hadn't expected him to resonate with me like he did. But my heart hurt with all he'd endured with Cora.

Writing the Inked Duet (Fine Line and Love Buzz) sutured all those cracks in my heart for him. Jonas and Autumn go through so much, but their story wraps up with the perfect cherry on top.

What a beautiful conclusion to Jonas and Autumn’s story. When we left book 1 we were in shock as to Leo’s (Autumn’s ex) claims that he wanted to take full custody of Clementine. My heart was breaking for them all just thinking of the emotional turmoil this would cause. As we got further into this book we could feel how devastated Autumn was and how she was caught in an unenviable situation feeling that she had to chose between Jonas and fighting for her daughter. Even though she kept on pushing Jonas away, Jonas was very patient and was determined to get back his girls. They both had a rocky road to their HEA and the devastating revelation that Autumn’s parents were behind Leo filing for custody of Clementine had my heart beating furiously. Autumn is a very strong and determined woman and although her relationship with her parents is in tatters she still had the courage to move forward and be with the man who she loves and who loves here desperately in return. I enjoyed this book so much and I love Autumn and Jonas but Clementine really shone through with her sassy attitude. This is a wonderful series and I am so looking forward to the next duet by Ms Autumn.

I knew this book was going to be good! After the way book 1 ended and all the emotions it evoked, I knew there was bound to be even more in book 2.

My heart was in my throat for both Jonas and Autumn, but my worry was more for Jonas. Autumn had the control in this relationship and her past was a good indicator of what was going to happen! The angst and longing on the tough days ahead for Jonas & Autumn after Leo showed up and made his announcement was just so sad. Autumn is such a good mom, and does everything she believes is best for her daughter to secure themselves and their situation.

I have to say I love when Jonas calls Autumn & Clementine his girls, and you know he means it!! He knows what he wants and is patient enough to wait for it. I love that was raised in a really great loving family that gave him the foundation to be what he needed to be for the girls. They also got lucky with a great support group with their friends.

I recommend this to anyone that loves a sweet romance! A gentleman in the streets and a freak in the sheets! Great book, and can’t wait for the next couples duet!

I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for my honest review. This is book two in this duet, and I loved this one even more than the first. I absolutely adored Autumn and Jonas’ love story. They are the perfect couple, the kind you swoon over. In this book, the two are faced with an unexpected custody battle for Clementine, Autumn’s daughter, by her father who has never even met her. As a mother, it was so intense and nerve wracking reading all the angst these two endured. Autumn is an outstanding mother, her world revolving around her daughter first. Jonas loves the two of them so much and sticks by their side and would do anything in the world to protect them. This book had the best of the twist and turns. The author threw them in, especially where you would never imagine them coming into play. This book sucked me in and kept me so engaged, I had my kindle in my purse while running weekend errands, sneaking as many words in as I could. This was such a touching book, I recommend to everyone if you want a feel good, touching ,with spice added in read.

The Inked Duet just gets better and better with Love Buzz! Autumn's life is turned upside down with her daughter's biological father coming back into the picture. But Jonas is there every step of the way to help her get through this hard time. I feel in love with Jonas since the first duet series but he just kept getting better and better. The way he loves Autumn and her daughter but also knows how to let Autumn be here own person without smothering her. In the short time that they are together they go through hell but survive it and come out stronger than ever!!! Definitely recommend!

The first book in this duet focused on Joanas and this second one focuses more on Autumn. I realized Persephone Autumn does this with her duets and I have to say it’s a wonderful strategy. In the last book we got to know Jonas and all of his troubles. In this one we learn more about Autumn.

It heavily focuses on her fighting to keep her daughter and the mystery as to why her ex has showed up after all this time. Meanwhile we have Jonas who is just so patient and caring, there for her throughout the entire thing, cheering her on and keeping positive thoughts.

This story, the duets in general are sweet slow burn romances that leave you with the satisfaction that these two overcame their obstacles and found their happily ever after with each other.

The second half of our duet picks up right where we left Jonas and Autumn/Scarlet, in turmoil.
I was worried the book might take on a overly sad or dark vibe dealing with child custody and Autumn's fear of loosing the only person she's put all of her energy into for so long. Or that our Hero would be whiny and pouty and go back and forth and be uncertain.
But although the story was plenty emotional I was happily surprised by the character growth, infact I loved it. It might be one of the sweetest love stories I've read and I would definitely recommend it.

“Love buzz.” He presses his lips to mine. “The energy of two forces merging into one.”

After reading the first book in this duet, I was on pins and needles waiting forever this second one. I just knew that I was going to be taken on an emotional journey that I wasn’t sure I was mentally ready for.

I fell so hard for Jonas. I wanted desperately for him to have everything that he deserved. He is everything that you want in a man. Autumn is this selfless, beautiful and hard working single mother who does every for her daughter. She most definitely deserved to have Jonas and she absolutely deserved a happily ever after.

Love Buzz kept me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning and right to the very end. I laughed, cried, yelled and was amazing with the twists and turns that this book journey took me on. It is a phenomenal book. Persephone Autumn just amazes more and more with every book that she writes and she is definitely an Author that I will drop everything and read her books.

Finally got to see what happened with Autumn and Jonas. I loved Jonas’s character and that he stood by Autumn through whatever she needed and never gave up on her. Autumn is a strong character on her own and proves it in this book. I love the twist at the end during the custody battle. Definitely added to the drama. Great read!

Love Buzz continues right off from the cliffhanger ending in Fine Line.

In the Inked Duet, we follow the journey of Jonas and Autumn’s relationship again but in Love Buzz, we go deeper in-depth with Autumn's ex making a reappearance in her life and causing some drama to her stable life.

Love Buzz leads us into some pretty angsty moments as Autumn is at a loss with having to face some pretty hard decisions that will not only affect her but her relationship with Jonas as well.

Jonas on the other hand is facing his own challenges when Autumn's ex comes back and she starts pushing him away.

Even though Autumn was pushing him away, he refused to let Autumn go and worked harder to let her know he wouldn't let her go or give up without a fight.

All in all, I loved the Inked Duet series.

Love Buzz continues right off from the cliffhanger ending in Fine Line.
The story has us following the journey of Jonas and Autumn’s relationship again. But this time it goes more deeper in depth, considering everything that goes down throughout. All of which consists of drama, from Autumn’s ex making a reappearance in her life with the ultimate demand. Causing a shake up in the stability that is her life with Jonas and her daughter Clementine. Leading to angsty moments, since Autumn is at a loss with having to face some of the biggest and hardest trials and tribulations. Affecting her relationship with Jonas in the process, since she cannot help but push him away out of fear of not wanting to risk the custody battle of Clementine.
As for Jonas he also faces his own challenges, with Autumn pushing him away on top of her ex causing issues. It leads him to refusing to let go Autumn with working even harder in letting her know he won't let her go or give up without a fight.
It is all of that plus more that leads to the story emphasising heavily on emotions and feelings that pour out, allowing us to absorb and understand just what exactly Autumn and Jonas are feeling at all times through the added bonus of having dual perspectives. Ultimately resulting in Love Buzz being a journey filled with hiccups here and there, showing us that their overall trek will be anything but smooth sailing. And that they will have to fight throughout if they want to make it work and have the HEA they wish for. Which resulted in not only a genuine relationship, but proof that they were endgame considering all they suffered when it came to fighting for what they wanted. This is what made me enjoy reading about their relationship and the growth of it from when they first started out in the beginning. Knowing just how far they came and what they endured to get there.

While I liked the story, I did have some criticism. For instance the story didn’t have the pizazz I was hoping for. The way the blurb was written, I expected so much more when it came to the suspense build up. However the story seemed to fall flat at times lacking in it, given the inconsistency of the situation surrounding the ex. Resulting in an abrupt and anti-climactic climax, that lacked the explosion I had been hoping for since his appearance at the end of Fine Line.

All in all, Love Buzz was a good story especially when it came to bringing Autumn and Jonas’s relationship to life. Plus I really enjoyed reading the epilogue and the bonus one that Persephone Autumn added. Overall I still enjoyed the Inked Duet series.

If I could give out a top cinnamon roll award of 2021, it would go to Jonas. This man is so adorable and kind; I still stand by what I said in my review of Book 1. Jonas Henderson is too good for this world.

But let's talk about the book.

Love Buzz, book two of the Inked Duet, picks up where Fine Line left off. The father of Autumn's 8-year-old daughter has threatened to sue for custody after years of being absent, and this has turned our couple's world upside-down. A man trying to respect his new girlfriend's boundaries for herself and her daughter. A single mom trying to juggle a custody fight, parenting, and a new love.

There is a great mix of drama, suspense, and romance. While there are moments that drag a smidge too long, the story and its relatable characters keep pulling you back in.

I love the simplicity of the journey: a couple trying to navigate a young relationship that includes an adorable precocious girl, supportive family and friends, and what ought to be a straightforward custody case. I also love that a simple story is made complex by anxiety, emotions, and thoughts. As a mom, I found Autumn's fears, concerns, and reactions relatable; you put your kid above everyone else, including yourself and the partner you love.

And Jonas' respect of Autumn's time, space, and decisions. #swoon. He just makes being a cinnamon roll look so effortless and sexy.

I was pleasantly surprised at the element of suspense in this book, and while I found the ending to the suspense too rushed (I really want them to pay for putting my babies through all of that trouble, OK?), how Jonas and Autumn have gone through it was admirable.

"LOVE BUZZ: INKED DUET #2" by Persephone Autumn is a heartfelt continuation of Autumn and Jonas's tumultuous journey, diving deeper into the complexities of love, sacrifice, and resilience. This second installment captivated me with its emotional depth, beautifully intertwining the struggles of parenting with the pulls of romantic love.

From the very first pages, we are drawn into Autumn's world as she grapples with the overwhelming responsibilities of motherhood and the ache of her separation from Jonas. The author has crafted a raw and relatable portrayal of a woman torn between her duties to her daughter, Clementine, and her longing for a profound love that feels both essential and painful. Autumn’s reflections on love particularly her poignant memories of Jonas add a layer of depth, making her experiences resonate with anyone who has faced heartache.

The introduction of external conflicts, such as Autumn’s ex reentering her life, heightens the stakes and adds tension to the story. This dynamic creates a thrilling backdrop against which Autumn and Jonas must reaffirm their bond, challenging both characters to confront their fears and desires. The emotional turmoil is palpable, and you find yourself rooting for their love to survive the storm.

What I appreciate most is the balance between despair and hope that flows throughout the story. While Autumn's journey is fraught with pain, the author skillfully weaves moments of optimism and possibility, leaving us with a sense of anticipation for what lies ahead for the couple.

Overall, "LOVE BUZZ: INKED DUET #2" is a beautifully written tale of love's enduring power, perfect for fans of romance seeking a heartfelt exploration of the complexities of relationships. This installment is a must read, but it is best enjoyed within the context of the first book.

Prepare for an emotional rollercoaster that will leave you breathless, as Autumn and Jonas navigate the trials of love, the weight of responsibility, and the hope that binds them together.

The conclusion of Jonas & Autumn's story....

Book 1 Fine Line (which MUST be read before this!) ended on a cliffhanger! And as a single parent myself, the thought of loosing your kids is truly horrendous so I sympathised with Autumn throughout this.
But I also felt for Jonas, Autumn isn't the only one at risk of loosing someone you love!!...

This is about Autumn's fight to keep her daughter and try to unravel why her ex has showed his face after almost 8 years and is demanding sole custody!
In reality, you know there's no case, she's a good mum, C is loved and cared for but still, when moneys involved, anything can happen!!!

I like these two together, there's no denying the connection between them! Again it's a slow burn romance. It's a sweet emotional story with some very hot scenes. C is adorable, I'm in love with Sparta and I could easily read more on all these people!

What to say about Jonas. OMG he is my new book boyfriend. So Supportive, loving, caring and even when his frustrations with everything seem to be getting to him he still waits and gives her the space and time she needs. He is so romantic and attentive to what both Autumn and Clementine need. The Emotions in the story pull at your heart strings. Autumn is struggling with what she feels is right for her daughter and if she should be selfish for her love for Jonas. This is a really good story as the second in the series it really gives us closure on what happens with Leo and her Family. I loved this series and it has been on of the best love stories and makes you smile along with cry at some very emotional parts. If you love a good romance Duet this Series would be a good one. It is full of Love and support from Family and Friends and gives you such a good feeling when your done reading it. Loved this Series

Jonas and Autumn's journey continues! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen next in this story and that had me glued to my kindle even more. Once again, I felt so many things with both characters throughout reading which i very much enjoyed!

Love Buzz is the conclusion of Inked Duet and brings to a happy conclusion the story of Jonas and Autumn. Book one in the duet (Fine Line) ended in a cliffhanger and must be read prior to hopping into Love Buzz.
Jonas is back and is just as sweet and amazing as he's always been in the entire Bay Area series. He is probably the sweetest, most supportive, and patient partner you'll ever find in romancelandia. His love for Autumn and her daughter, Clementine, is undeniable.
In book two Persephone takes her considerable skills and leads us into Autumn's perspective, backstory, fears, and wants. Her struggle to protect her daughter while attempting to successfully navigate her relationship with Jonas is a tightrope act that doesn't resolve until the climax.
Love Buzz is a wonderful addition to the Bay Area series and you'll fall in love with Jonas and Autumn.

I can’t get enough of Autumn and Jonas. Their relationship is so pure. It is full of love, desire, and passion. I can’t believe Leo wants to take Clementine away from Autumn, who is a great mother. Leo has been absent for so long with no contact or help in supporting Clementine. It think Autumn’s decision to step back for her relationship with Jonas was a really stupid move. Both her and Jonas are miserable without each other. Clementine is a grump because she can’t spend time with her best fur friend, Spartan.

Loved this conclusion to the Inked Duet! This book started where Fine Line left off.

Jonas and Autumn are in a new relationship. Clementine's father comes back seeking sole custody of her. Autumn makes a choice that hurts them both initially but ultimately makes the best decisions for her and her daughter.

Jonas is such a sweetheart. He always says and does the absolute best thing even if it hurts him. I just want to hold him to me. I loved Autumn's promise that her daughter comes first. No matter what. I cannot wait to see what the future holds in these interconnected duets.

I felt this was a decent ending to this duet. It made me feel better after reading the cliffhanger in Fine Lines. Though there were things that still bothered me about Leo and the whole situation. Jonas was great. He was frustrated but he was very supportive and understanding. Autumn, well aside from the great mom she was, felt like a bit of a doormat to me. In all I enjoyed this second half of this duet.

The story picks up right where book one ends on the dramatic cliffs. The beginning half was a little slow with Autumn back and forth decisions. Jonas was all in but with the present situation, Autumn was half in and half out. It was frustrating. The action picks up midway and we get a surprise twist. We learn more about Autumn and her life before. It explained her thought process and decision making.
Sweet, romantic, dramatic.

This is a great ending to Autumn and Jonas's story. It has been an amazing duet for a first read by the author. Jonas continues to be an amazing supporter of Autumn. He made me swoon all the time. He is everything! Though Autumn is a hardworking and selfless mum to his daughter, there are times where I wanted to smack her. But I guess that just adds to the drama and story.

Love Buzz is the conclusion of the Inked Duet and we find out what happens to Autumn and Jonas. The first book Fine Line must be read first as it ended in a cliffhanger and that is the crux of the story. This is all about Autumn fighting to keep her daughter and Jonas fighting to keep ‘his girls’. Fine Line was mainly about Jonas and Love Buzz concentrates on Autumn’s story. Amongst the mystery and doubts Leo’s actions have caused, the couple are both at risk of losing someone they love.

I knew at the end of Fine Line that Leo had no case and did wonder how the author was going to keep the story interesting. We knew Leo was never going to win because he had left her once she told him she was pregnant and had never seen his daughter. The biggest question in the book is what has happened to make him do this because there has to be a reason why he has suddenly appeared. She is suspicious over how he found her and concerned there is an ulterior motive.

She realises the only difference in her life since she’d had her daughter is Jonas. This makes her worry that being in a relationship with him not only prompted Leo but will also affect her chances of keeping Clementine. Autumn had promised Clementine when she was born that she would do whatever it takes to keep her safe so decided her best course of action is to back off form Jonas.

Autumn’s focus is now all on Clementine and Jonas feels her pulling away so has to find a way to keep her. Although everyone and even her attorney tell her she will win, she isn’t confident enough to believe it. She is scared to take a risk by staying with Jonas but doesn’t know what is the right thing to do as he is the best man she has ever known.

“Love buzz” He presses his lips to mine. “The energy of two forces merging into one.”

Jonas is amazing, so patience and understanding with her. His love for her is undeniable and my heart went out to him yet again as he stood by her. His dad was fantastic and I loved how he gave Jonas such good advice and supported him throughout the book. Spartan provides the fun again and I dread to think what Clementine will be like as a teenager as she certainly brings out the attitude at times which made me laugh.

It was a sweet read once it got going but on the whole I was slightly disappointed. I felt it was very repetitive and the first third of the book was her constantly questioning her decision to leave Jonas. The rest of the book does improve especially when the reason for Leo’s reappearance in her life is revealed. The author also gives us a lovely epilogue to give the couple all they wanted and their HEA.
