I don't praise novellas very often because they often lack something but man, it's the second novella in a row, from the same author that I feel like praising. I'm amazed. Emma Bray seems to have found the right formula for the pacing, story, steam, character development, and all that under 100 pages.

Now with The Stalker's Obsession, what I liked the most was how at the end, I didn't feel like something was missing...Which is often the impression that I get when finishing most novellas. This time, I felt like the story wrapped up beautifully and it also didn't feel rushed at all. I really had a good time.

After colliding with Kylie, Liam finds himself absolutely obsessed and enamored by this young woman. From that moment, he felt very protective and possessive of her and found himself starting to stalk her, making sure she was safe at all time. He was caring, besotted, respectful but also very OTT and jealous. It wasn't an instant OTT behavior...what I liked is how it slowly built up, more and more. I really liked his development.

“I gaze down at her curls splayed out over her pillow, the way she always hugs one pillow up to her chest and throws her leg around it. This is how fucked up I am. I’m jealous of that damned pillow.”-Liam

Kylie was such a cupcake. So sweet, cute, innocent...I don't have much to say about her, just that she was all Liam needed and wanted.

First time reading this author and it was okay book very fast pace and some steam.

Kylie is a young woman who is trying to make it in the world now she has a sorta steady job and a okay apartment and she runs into a mysterious man on her way to work. Aka Liam a very rich man who is already becoming obessed with Kylie.  He stalks her not to bad of a stalker atleast he doesn't have cameras in her apartment lol but he keeps his distance making sure shes safe and won't go after her. And he keeps that promise now bring her to his place and making sure she stays.

No ow tiny om drama, no cheating, tiny drama, Sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

What can I say? I love a man that's completely obsessed. I guess that's why I like stalker romances. At first, I thought the stalking wasn't that bad in this one, then as it got further and further the stalking got to an appropriately unhealthy level.

"I don’t necessarily want to lock her up and take away her freedom, but I want her with me at all times."

Besides this being a decent stalker romance, it's super steamy. If you're looking for a quick, hot read, I recommend you pick this one up.

This was an ok read. I love an OTT alpha hero. Team that up with obsessive stalker tendencies and I’m all in. It was love at first sight.

-om drama- a guy attempts to sexual assault the heroine - rubbing his hardness against her etc hero stops it
-virgin heroine - hero was not a virgin. While he has been celibate for a while, prior to it he was portrayed as a player who had been with so many women that they were running together and was just a blur 🙄

Liam is out running one morning when Kylie runs into him. Kylie’s neighbor is a creep that keeps hitting on her and making her late to work. She’s reaching for her phone when she runs into Liam. She’s attracted to him, can’t get him off her mind, even though they only saw each other for a matter of seconds. Liam is obsessed with her. So he stalks her. What follows is an obsessed man trying to hold back his OTT behavior, and an innocent heroine trying to figure out what Liam feels towards her.

Liam was OTT, possessive, jealous, and I loved every second of it. He was sweet to take his time to make Kylie comfortable instead of pushing himself on her. Kylie was a likable heroine. She was without any family and has been on her own for a while, so her finding Liam was great for her.

I love stories where the characters don’t have children. Why is a kid always necessary? The ending to this was amazing because Liam was so obsessed with Kylie that he couldn’t imagine sharing her with anyone, including any offspring. THAT is a truly obsessed hero.

Quick read.

Liam (30) and Kylie (19) met when she bumped into him on her way to work. He got obsessed with her at first sight and decided to stalk her afterwards. She has a creepy neighbor who couldn't take a hint that she's not interested. Said neighbor tried to assault her, but since Liam is stalking her he was able to knockout the creeper. Then he offered her his house as her temporary place. With forced proximity and mutual attraction, things heated up and they spent their days together.

I think this was a good read in general, not good not bad either. But what I liked the most is when they decided not to have kids. Usually in the epilogue of novellas the couple would have a bunch of children, but since Liam is obsessed with Kylie and the idea of sharing her isn't something he's willing to do not even with a hypothetical kid. They forego the idea of having a child.

Overall, this is a great palette cleanser and a short read

Let down

Before I say what I didn’t like about this book and what made it a flop for me, let me enumerate what I LOVED about this book, and had the ending been different, I’d probably be giving this a 5 star.

1. An obsessed, possessive hero who takes one look at the heroine and he’s caught. Also, not a manwhore, so yay.

2. A sweet, innocent heroine who belongs only to the hero and can give the hero the satisfaction and gift of claiming her innocence for himself.

3. Stalker hero. I don’t know why, but I love stalker romances.

4. Kindle-melting steamy times.

All of that was awesome. What i didn’t like was this new, faddish tread of having “totally obsessed” MCs forego expressing their love for one another by increasing their family. Instead there’s this sickly pathetic “we lurrvvvv each other so much we can’t have kids.” It’s ridiculous and is completely shortsighted because when these two dumbasses are old, sick and one dies, the other will be left with no children, no grandchildren, no connection to the future, no part of their soulmate in the eyes of their offspring, no one left to comfort and love them and be a living, breathing testament to their love and life.

It’s so fake and selfish and just ruins a decent romance.

This book just didn’t do anything for me. This story is about an alpha possessive hero and a virgin heroine.

This story is about a guy named Liam is an absolute stalker . A woman named Kylie bumps into him as she is late for work at a library. He sees her and he is instantly attracted to her. He stalks her everywhere she goes. He had his people put cameras at her job so he can watch her. He is constantly thinking of having sex with her or that he can’t jerk off because he wants to be with her. She is almost assaulted outside of her building where she is living. Liam comes to her rescue and has her stay with him at his house. She feels safe and protected by Liam. There wasn’t much of a plot to this. It was about them having sex or him wanting her.

Only 89 pages so flew through it.

This part made me laugh though..

Liam suddenly speaks again, softly yet intensely, “Don’t be afraid, Kylie.” I look at him sitting across from me and strangely, I’m suddenly not afraid.

Wow I wish my depression could be cured as quick as her fear was when someone tells me just don’t be sad 🤣

Bueno, el libro del todo no es tan malo, entretiene bastante y tiene buenas escenas calientes pero esa obsesión por parte de Liam y que luego Kylie deje de trabajar por petición de él... bueno, para mi es un gran no en un libro.
