Kick Back is more than a high octane thriller, it’s also an absorbing window into the bizarre lives of obscenely well remunerated English Premier grade football players. I was hooked from the first sentence; reactions veering from incredulity at the wealth, excess and stupidity, to nervous apprehension as the likeable hero, Alec Munday navigates his way between innocent players, their bosses and the sociopathic criminals whose desire for ever increasing wealth leads them to vile acts of depravity in their efforts to launder ill-gotten gains.
I highly recommend this book.
