By reading the title only, you can guess the genre and tentative plot. Suspense thriller is my most favourite genre to read so I had to pick it up. The book has interesting cover too. I will briefly summarise the plot trying to avoid spoilers. As we can predict from title and cover, the book is about a flight. The story starts with boarding of a flight on Dubai International Airport. Most of the flights and airports have proper security and reaches to the destination. But some of them don’t. One man boarded on a flight. And that flight never landed anywhere. All the authorities and airports securities are facing dilemma. A terrorist attack was being suspected. But how can they have missed those gross things such as weapons. And the main question is how can one person can make an entire flight go missing. Read the book to know entire story. I have vaguely summarise the blurb as specific details will lead to spoilers. I liked the plot. It’s unique. Author has narrated entire story time and place wise. This shows author has thoroughly imagined the plot. Because slightest mistake can go wrong. Plus this is fiction, so minor error can be fatal in case of suspense. Author has done indeed good job in that case. So hats off to that. The story is written to the point and fast paced. That way it can hold the attention of the reader. The thrill was maintained throughout the plot. The story took few unexpected turns. The language of the book is lucid, that way everyone can pick it up. Overall good one.

"Man behind the missing machine" is positioned as a must-read for anyone who enjoys a fast-paced well-written book, across a variety of genre interests. The book is an urban thriller inspired by India's recent courageous endeavours in eradicating terrorism.

This book is without a doubt one of the most involved and simultaneously enjoyable books I have ever read. Dense to the point of labour, but captivating well past my bedtime, the author knows exactly where to draw the line between lots of information and tedious boredom. His language is not very difficult to interpret, rather he emphasizes more the primary plot of the story, rather than working a lot on the way of writing.

The writing style of the author is fast-paced and very energetic. He makes sure to include the thriller vibes into each segment of the story, so as to make the reading experience both entertaining and intriguing. The author, being a pilot himself, knows the intricacies of modern aviation and the complex strategies involved in it. This injects a lot of details and facts in the plotline, such that the book becomes very precise and accurate. His research is well-versed and layered, and he knows what to put in his writing to make it sound realistic.

As a downside to the book, it can be noticed that the author tries to build up a balanced front in his story and thus covers up the wrongdoings of politicians in our country. His writing seems extremely diplomatic in some areas. In such portions of the story, he could have incorporated some of his own insights and opinions. Moreover, a major part that makes a thriller a good one, is that it builds up a climax and then drops the reader into it. Though in this book, I personally did not find any particular climax to be that powerful of a crescendo. More effort could have been put towards the climax building aspect of the plotline.

This is a great mixture of suspense and thriller. The book is focused on the plotline that one day a man boarded an usual flight which was nothing uncommon but what happened after it make many wonder. The reason behind this was that the whole flight went missing after it took off for its usual route.
It is indeed a shocking thing that how a whole flight went missing after it took off like it's usual days. No arrival information or no news was collected or received for the same flight.
How the things unexpectedly went on a usual day leading to this outcome?
Well that's the plot is all about and I won't reveal or give any spoilers here.
The language used is lucid. The narration is good. The words selection is easy and simple making it a good read for all.
I finished it in one sitting only.

An aircraft with more than 160 passengers and crew took off from Dubai, never to reach its destination, Mumbai. One passenger deplaned moment before departure and though the crew have carried out mandatory checks for planned sabotage, they found none. None of the extremist groups claimed the flight disappearance as their action.

An aircraft off radars, without being found collapsed or exploded, can only be explained by the missing passenger, whom the security agencies of India are searching for. Finding the missing passenger, the motive behind the disappearance of the flight and the events that lead to it forms the rest of the story.

The title of the book and the cover hint at the theme of the story, so the reader can anticipate the thrill the story has to offer. The USP of the story lies in the protagonist KK finding the first clue about the missing passenger, who does not have any identity or address. Once KK figures out the possible link that will take him to the mysterious man, it’s all about following the lead, one clue to another.

Along with finding the culprit, KK must win the confidence of his seniors who are upset with his past failed missions and win back his lady love Avani following their long separation. The current mission is equally challenging with meagre resources at his disposal, bureaucratic hurdles, and an immature team to support him.

The multiple twists and turns in the story as KK sets about to find the mystery man keeps the reader engaged through out. The author has done good research around the technicalities of a flight and its operations, security forces, combined with his own personal experience of being a fighter and commercial pilot, however, the writing style gives away that the author is new to writing.

The narration pace is racy, and the ending is unexpected. The characters are well developed for a thriller. If you are a fan of thriller genre and enjoy fast paced thrillers, then this one will make for a good read.

Firstly, I thank the author for giving me an opportunity to review his work of fiction.
The blurb of Man Behind the Missing Machine was very very intriguing for me. Suspense and thriller novels have always been my go-to genre every time when I am in need of some intellectual exercises. Man Behind the Missing Machine deals with the sudden disappearance of an aeroplane which was en route to its usual destination. While many people speculated that it was an act of terrorism, others cannot believe the fact that a flight full of passengers and crew has vanished without a trace. Judging by the premise of the book, it is indeed difficult to restrain yourself from reading Man Behind the Missing Machine to know “what happened to the aeroplane?” Among the handful of features, I like about the book is the story and the manner in which the plot has been developed systematically. The narrative technique oscillates from the chronological record of the event to that of the spatial. The style of writing is certainly impressive. Yet, I believe, the language employed in Man Behind the Missing Machine could have been more sophisticated, with a proper and consistent syntax to suit the cast. Yet, you can definitely pick this up if you are into mystery novels and thrilling plot twists. I convey my best wishes to the author for his future endeavours.

There are very few novels that I pick merely on the basis of an exceptional blurb , author's credentials and an intriguing title . And this book definitely has all the three elements that every author should take a cue from who worry about their book sales .

The story is about an air plane that did start its voyage towards the destination quite normally but never lands. Lots of speculations goes like what exactly happened and the administration starts smelling some foul play and some terrorist angle involved. The tale moves with a great pace and author systematically in a step by step manner lay bare the suspense element.

The USP of the novel is its organized structure ,narration skills and the suspense which is kept intact throughout. Though there are some glaring downsides too like at some places too much information is given which might lead to boredom. That's a bit suicidal for a thriller. Also at few juncture I felt when a opiniated view was required ,author has reserved his comments and disposition and dealt things in a diplomatic manner. Also the climax could have planned better and would have done a great deal of good to the book if treated with more care. Notwithstanding these shortcomings ,on the whole , the book ticks most of the boxes and should be picked especially if thriller is your preferred genre.

Imagine a book...
Now imagine a movie...
Now put them two together...
What do you get?
It's a book movie, not a screen adaptation of the book but a legit movie for your brain and that is what you get with this one.
It started with a bang, literally, only this one wasn't heart just felt deep in the heart. I love fast faced stories, they make my heart go pitter patter and K K was like the man to make it happen. There was love, romance and desire but also dark lust, betrayal and hated. So many different kinds of friendship and compadre were seen that it's bound to make you a tad bit teary eyed. Every page took story to a different height all together.
One thing I would have thought different was the whole old ahem flame coming back to backstab but it's wasn't true. May be my bestie is right, I am reading way too much mystery that everything looks ready to jump out and try and catch me.
Give this preeeeeeety a try, you are bound to love it

According to me, a good thriller is one where the suspense keeps on building and then the climax comes with a bang. This book definitely met that standard for me.
.
A suspected terrorist activity, a missing flight and a rouge officer on a mission to find the suspect. If this doesn't seem like a good suspense - thriller then what does?
.
The plot of the book is quite interesting and maintains the suspense throughout. The book is fast - paced. The plot twist was placed very nicely.
.
The language of the book is very well-balanced and at times dramatic. The structure of the book is compound. And the flow is lucid. This book was definitely a page - turner for me.
