Aye, somebody get me a tall glass of water. I'm burning because this book was HOT! I definitely can't wait to read the rest of the series.
While Stiff isn't my first book by Stephanie Nicole Norris, it definitely is the book that has made me want to explore more of her back list. This book has an interesting premise. Our heroine, Asia, usually keeps to herself and isn't really a daredevil when it comes to exploring her sexuality. At the beckoning of friend, she decides to try out this new club called The Den which permits it's attendees to explore their sexual fantasies. There she meets Cain and the rest is history. Unfortunately, there isn't much else that I can say about the plot or the romance without spoiling the reveals. I will state that there is great chemistry between the heroine and hero (mentally, emotionally, and definitely physically). I enjoyed Norris' writing style and found that the story itself had great pacing with interesting character development. I cannot wait to dive into the next book in the series.

Eric/Cain & Asia/Carmen had chemistry from the very beginning! I love how Asia’s alter ego Carmen allow her to be free and safely explore another side of herself and the fact that she had someone she was able to trust accompany her on her journey made for a really good story. Outside of their alter egos, Eric & Asia found out that they really had a lot in common, which was also a good thing, ultimately showing them that they were really made for one another. Good Story….I’m really excited for the next 2 books of this series….Wesleigh & Benjamin Did a Phenomenal Job On The Duet Narration!

This book was like an awakening of sorts for both Asia and I. Asia was finding herself sexually and I’m finding an author who brought the heat but with a really good plot.
Asia is a single woman who had a very limited and not very fulfilling sexual encounters. Based on a suggestion from her girlfriends, she visits a sex den/club and it’s like Eve taking her first bite of the forbidden fruit. Her eyes were wide open but she also formed an attachment to the man whose identity she doesn’t know.
This story was fun, predictable but satisfying nonetheless. Both the heroine and hero are good people so the reader roots for them to figure out what they have is super special.
I enjoyed the way the author wrote the story was entertaining, flirty and funny especially with the Uncle. I definitely will be listening to book 2.

This was very cute I didn’t think I was gonna read it in one sitting but I did. There chemistry was perfect. As soon as those elevator doors opened they instantly clicked and knew what was gonna happen.

It was indeed STIFF 😉🙃 lol. I want my own Marvel superhero lol. This was a great read. My first time reading this author’s work and I was thoroughly entertained. If The Den was real, which I’m sure maybe somewhere it is, everyone needs at least a night there. This book just gave the vibe of letting loose and trying something new. Not caring what people my think and actually relaxing and having a good time. This book definitely conveyed that. Especially the real back and forth Asia went through from going to a place like The Den and even the judgement of herself and what she felt others might think/say about her.
This was definitely a 10/10 for me and I can’t wait to get into the rest of this series.

Sexy, sexual, little mysterious, and kismet
I love this story, filled with great characters. I love that Asia unknowingly always picked Eric, even in a costume. Baby, they literally eff shyt up at the Den. They both were free to fully indulge and after one night, they unbeknownst asked for exclusivity with each other without the other knowing. When Eric made his move, I love how bold he was and went for what he wanted. I did get a little mad at Asia for keeping making appointments with Cain when she had a whole azz man there, but I understood both of them. Yes, it's different but still damn good. This author stepped out of her usual writing zone and eff shyt up literally with this story. It's sexy, sensual, little mysterious, and kismet. I can't wait to read how Lincoln and Patience and Mike and Brandy go at it. Uncle Jerome is a whole trip. Lol 😂 I love his unfiltered self. I love that Eric and Asia fell for each other in and out of the Den, starting in their school years. Eric definitely paid attention to her every word then and now. I tell you what... I never been so happy to see Carmen canceling her appointment with Cain because that meant everything. It's erotic but with a great story and lovable characters. Even the modest readers will blush and be happy. Makes me want to visit a real Den. Lol. 😂 I have no doubt that this is another successful series by this author.

SIZZLING and entertaining read! Eric was a sexy, sweet, romantic, gentleman. He knew who he wanted, and he went after her FULL-FORCE! Asia knew what she wanted too; however, she was confused by the way Cain made her feel uninhibited and allowed her to bring her hidden freak out. However, Eric could be her HEA, if she gave him the chance. If only, she could be sure Eric could ROCK her world as much as Cain. Asia had a BIG decision to make…or DID she?!! A colorful and lively cast of characters…Uncle Jerome is a HOT mess! I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

This book is definitely a 5 star for me! The concept of the Den was very unique and I loved both of the characters! Asia (Carmen) and Eric (Cane) were both likeable characters. Eric explaining the history had me sold within the first few chapter because I love a childhood friends to lovers romance! I loved the way Stephanie developed the secondary character as well because I’m ready to learn more about each of them and how the Den will come back into play! I listened to this book on audible and the narrators Wesleigh Siobahn and Benjamin Charles were outstanding! The book was read duet style which I love! Definitely a Well Read Ruby Recommend!

My only question is “where is this Den located?” I may have to make a visit to it. Cain/Eric was a woman’s dream and Asia/Carmen took full advantage of him. I cannot wait to read the other girls’ stories. I’d recommend this book to anyone who loves romance, sexiness and love because Stephanie Nicole Norris brought all the heat with this one!

4.5 ⭐️ I know there is another word that could describe this book, because spicy just doesn’t seem to fit!! Mr. Jackson was whewwwww!!! I’m convinced this story was created to get the people hot and bothered! The storyline was very different, but was written so well it immediately pulled me in. The fact the Eric knew Asia from his past and was still attracted to and ended up falling in love with her was beautiful. I can’t wait to see how their friends stories unfold!

This book got me out here buying candy cigarettes to smoke. I’m so hot and bothered. I think at one point I caught myself holding my breath and clutching my pearls. THIS WAS SO GOooood!!!! Chile I’m gonna read it again and make notes so I can try some of this stuff!!! Stephanie honey you are one of the BADDEST!!!!

Yaaasss Queen Stephanie did her thang with Stiff😜! Bay-be, I ain't gonna lie that first chapter had me a lil worried, so I skipped to the back and read chapter 21😳. What I read😜💦 I went back and read three entire book and couldn't put it down🔥🔥🔥!
Asia was considered a prude amongst her friends, so after being challenged to step outside her box and greet her back blown our by a random with no attachment and no regrets. Upon reaching The Den and introductions are made she's taken to her private room. She feels a strong pull to her security (Cain) but still goes along with the nights events. Once her entertainment starts to perform she realize that although he's nice to look at she wants a night of pleasure with Craig instead. Once she makes this known he seems the entertainment away and gives her the tablet to choose her playlist, her desire and who she's wants. Only if life was that simple, lbvvs. Let's just say one night turned sis into an addict and she couldn't get enough of Cain finds sexy 🍆slanging, multiple orgasm giving ass😜🤣.
Cain/Eric can get all this, Oh-kay😜🤣! When he laid eyes on Carmen/Asia he couldn't believe his eyes, couldn't believe the stars aligned and brought his middle Advil and high school crush back to him💞. Of course because of the amenity clause, he couldn't reveal anything to her, couldn't speak unless she gave him permission. Her choosing him did too him back to the younger years, where no matter who chose her, she would always choose him. That Kama Sutra Ballerina pose had me like "I gotta try that"🤣🤣🤣. That man had sis going crazy, requesting he do things she never thought about doing😜. That's what you call good🍆🤣. The power of the😼had him calling and requesting that he only guard her🤣.
That second met up had her choosing Appetizer Sampler, the art out bringing me so close but not allowing you to reach your💦 is a torcher I'd love to indulge in😜. After that Cain/Eric say those hookups wasn't enough and decided to Google Ms. Asia and pursuit her as Eric. I died laughing cause after every date (with the exception of their very last one where they both of out all on the line) she made an appointment with Cain🤦🏾🤣.
This was one hell of a hot steamy ride and I can't wait to read Strip to see what Patience and Lincoln got going on👀.

This book was 🥵 I enjoyed it for the most part. I think the only thing I didn't like from what I remember was the FMC being tracked down by the MMC.. (Felt a bit stalkerish to me.)
Overall the story as a whole was very simple. Our by the book FMC Asia is nudged into going to a club called the Den by her friends. after plenty of convincing she goes and barely gets in when her
"body guard/guide" catches her eye and the chemistry is off the charts from there.

Being that the DEN is in Atlanta?! Baby, I KNOW they can bring this place to life. Matta fact! We need a DEN in every state, do you hear me!?!? lol
At this upscale Male Strip club where YOU are in control. You get your own guard. He is your guide and helps you get settled into the rooms. Using your own personal tablet. You choose the room you want to be in, your "pleasure", and your partner and your music playlist. The options just to name a few are: Appetizer, where you get everything done to you, but you can't finish. Foreplay, virtual reality and kama sutra (need to be a little flexible for this one)
Your guard can not speak, unless you tell him to. You can't touch the dancers. BUT! If they initiate the touch first, it's free game. Most times the guards are off limits. But, with the consent from both parties?! All that can change. After Asia's first night at the DEN. She becomes a regular and she only wants her GUARD aka Her super hero "Cain". (Think about Luke Cage, you're welcome) She thinks he's giving the same treatment she got from him to all the other women in there. Just so happens, she's the ONLY woman he wants. So much so he makes it to where no other woman can request him outside of his services as the guard.
I say listen to this to get the FULL experience. But, either way this book is beautifully written. I loved the friendships in this book. It reminded me of how it is when I hang out with my girls. The guys cut up too. And Asisa's Uncle Jerome had me laughing so hard I was to tears.
Such a relatable, funny and super sexy read. I was so sad when it ended. I am already listening to book #2.

(Think about Luke Cage, you're welcome) She thinks he's giving the same treatment she got from him to all the other women in there. Just so happens, she's the ONLY woman he wants. So much so he makes it to where no other woman can request him outside of his services as the guard.
I say listen to this to get the FULL experience. But, either way this book is beautifully written. I loved the friendships in this book. It reminded me of how it is when I hang out with my girls. The guys cut up too. And Asisa's Uncle Jerome had me laughing so hard I was to tears.
Such a relatable, funny and super sexy read. I was so sad when it ended. I am already listening to book #2.

STIFF was such a fun, exhilarating, and sexy with a bit of sweet romance. Asia is in a sexual rut so when her friend suggested she visit The Den and have a wild night, she decided to just give it a shot. There she meets Cain. They have immediate chemistry and good lord the steam they create is enough to fill a damn sauna. What she doesn’t know is that Cain knows who she is...
I absolutely loved this book and the writing! I can’t wait to read the rest of this series because the side characters were fantastic and I want to read about them receiving their happily ever afters. If you enjoy reunited friends, friends to lovers, mature characters (late 30’s, early 40’s), and hot hot smut then this is the next one you should pick up. Some people might take an issue with Cain not confessing to Asia that he knows her but I understood why he didn’t and why he went about it the way he did.
Overall rating 4-4.5 stars

Listen, Stephanie Nicole Norris did not come to play with her readers with STIFF! !! This series is about 3 friends who are at different relationship stations in life. All needing some life breathed into them. The Den is the place for resuscitation. Asia is the main character in book one. The chemistry and heat between her and Eric jumps off the pages. I need a new strand of pearls after clutching them so much. Eric is new book bar for sure. Stephanie has definitely taken her pen game to another level. This series is going to be top tier like the Rose and Valentine series, but the heat index is broken!!! Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Whew Chile! Can somebody point into the direction of the Den. Even though it was an unexpected happenstance for both Eric and Asia they both were very pleased with the experience. We all have an alter ego but Carmen and Cain was setting everything ablaze from the moment they became entranced with one another. Round of applause for Asia because she gets to have all the cake and eat it too. I cannot wait to hear more about this explosive couple. Stephanie knows love and she knows steam and I’m patiently waiting to explore more
