The Witch's Journey

Rate this book
Will they follow their hearts, take the safer path or live long enough to do either?

Modern-day Bostonian, Angelique Kavanaugh was born in Ireland but mysteriously adopted. Unaware of her parentage, she’s always had unusual, witch-like abilities. Hopelessly unlucky in love, she jokingly casts a spell during a magical Samhain full moon hoping to conjure Mr. Perfect—tall, strong, attentive, chivalrous…and smoldering hot.

Faolan Mahoney, a notorious eighteenth century Irish privateer, is abruptly hurtled forward 250 years into the future. While the beautiful, alluring auburn-haired witch responsible undoubtedly saves his life, she also irreparably changes it…and him. Angelique’s all contradictions––gentle and amiable one moment and a wild force that challenges him the next. Instinctively, he wants to protect and cherish her.

Fully aware he’s to be sent back under the next full moon, Angelique and Faolan attempt to fight their fierce attraction. Their farewell is delayed when they must travel through time to complete dangerous, challenging tasks. After learning there are many intent on keeping them apart, staying together suddenly seems all that matters.

The Witch's Journey is the third book in this unique and interesting series titled Witches of Time by Leigh Ann Edwards. This book begins in contemporary Boston with Angelique Kavanaugh who has abilities and an unknown parentage since she is adopted. Surprisingly she is able to bring Faolan Mahoney two hundred fifty years from the past to the present. Even without the dangerous tasks that she must complete this would have been a riveting read because of the chemistry between these two.

There are twists and turns in this story that keep you on edge throughout Angelique and Faolan’s story. You can’t help but want them to survive, be successful in their quest and remain together for all time.

The Witch’s Journey ,
I finished this book in this series of Witches of Time . As I have come to expect from Leigh Ann the characters are to say the least Wonderful . I feel their joy and sadness it is palpable. The twisters are good.
The beginning of jointing of The Witch’s Journey Series and The Irish Witches Series with the old characters coming to Angelique & Faolan’s story . Make sure you have tissues handy as well as the ready smile.

I am excited and sad to read the next and final book in the series .
If you have not read either series I recommend you read both series . Then for another location
The Norse Series .
I could have wrote more detail but when you start it is hard to not revile more than you should .
Just read an d Enjoy. I did.

Loved this 3rd book by Leigh Ann Edwards in the series. This one takes place in modern times which was a change of pace from when the other transcendent witches stories took place. Nice to touch base again towards the end of the story with the people from the previous books. Lots of humour and drama as Angelique has to take care of tasks by going back in time to deliver the magic book to the other 3. Enjoyed the interaction between Faolan from the 17th century and Angelique from the 21st century. Can’t wait for the next book that will bring the story to a conclusion.

The Witch’s Journey is a sweet, touching and often funny story about a witch who calls up her perfect man. He is from 1773 and in wonder of all current gadgets and technology. Neither realize they are bound together by the past and that a magical storm brews that may end their lives together.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Loved this book, by chapter 3 I was hooked and didn't want to put it down. If you enjoy paranormal and time travel books you'll love this whole series because it's both. More twists and turns than a mountain pass, the lead characters are compelling, you just want to root for them all the way, it can make your heart soar, and then break for Faolan and his Angel and the secondary characters many we know from the previous books are as complex as ever.

the FMC was so frustrating

I enjoy a handsome pirate but this FMC honestly annoyed me by how much she kept flip flopping between wanting the MMC and pushing him away. It was just incredibly frustrating but also quite refreshing that it wasn’t just automatically a HEA ending. Finally the final battle is due to begin in the last book and I’m looking forward to finding out how it all ends.

Favourite quotes include:
“I’ve listened to all the other witches and their men bicker. I’ve come to expect it. You can’t share uncommon passion without expecting some stormy seas,”

Hated to see this series end. The story line held my interest and the characters were well developed. Will have to read more by this writer.

Fantastic read as usual. The fourth witch will get close to a readers heart in no time. What she is facing is a lil different to what the other 3 girls had to and damn its a rollercoaster. Love that with every new book a few of the already known and beloved protagonists are part of the story. The book ends with a major cliffhanger and im thrilled already for the next and last book in this serie. Can't wait to see how everything pans out in the end but im sure it will be a brilliant story again.
