Rate this book
One night in a small town will change two universes in this relentless, action-packed saga. The clock is running out on Jamie Sheridan, who carries a genetically-engineered time bomb inside him. In eight hours, he will become a god, a monster, or he will die. He fights to survive against all hope, with his best friends Michael Cooper and Samantha Huggins at his side. Their desperate quest will take them into another universe, where a galactic empire stands on the brink, and the balance of forty worlds is about to be shattered. Destinies will be formed, friends and lovers will face betrayal, the fire of war will grow, and an ancient force will rise. What Amazon readers say about the books of The Impossible The Last ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "I really enjoyed the twists and turns in the plot as Jamie tries to figure out who to trust as he struggles with the new truth in his life. The end was surprising and primed me for the next book ..."  - Yenot Raccoon
The Risen
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "The concepts of this series is so sweeping and so tightly written it pulls you right into the midst of this reality. I read The Last of Everything and immediately had to buy and read this. ... You can feel that this story took hold of the author and would not let go. The writing is very visual and packs an emotional punch. I won't forget the Chancellory any time soon." - Amazon Customer
The Reversing ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Delivers a masterfully crafted story. ... The author superbly world builds and develops the characters as they weave a fabulous tapestry full of twists, turns, betrayals, love and hope." - Andres Kabel
The Promised ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "I can't express how incredible this entire series has been. It sounds so silly and corny that a book was so dang good that you can't express it! But it's really hard to find words to say how great this book and the rest of the series is. A fantastic space-opera, with time-y elements (that one is just hard to explain without giving it all away), and a really incredible story too. I never wanted this one to end." - Fluffyluggage

About the author

Frank Kennedy

Frank Kennedy has been writing all his life (the boy who was penning crazy space stories that had the other kids giggling), and now he's taking charge of his career. He is a former journalist (back when people read the news on actual paper), and now teaching English to middle-schoolers (cue the giggling). His work spans all manner of genres, but he is particularly fond of science fiction / alternate history / and bizarre mashups. Expect darkness, tension, and the twists and turns that make great drama. He was that 14-year-old kid who couldn't believe what he was seeing when the Imperial Star Destroyer chased the rebel blockade runner over Tatooine in May 1977, and became lost in awe when the mothership appeared over Devil's Monument that same year.

Impressive 5 Star series!

“Humans who reach beyond themselves will fall. It is inevitable.” This premise takes us to a totally new dimension, grittier and brutal, if possible. The transformation that takes hold of James is impressive and frightening! A cruel, egocentric, racist and spoiled hierarchy government in an alternate Earth is terrifying. Hard tech involved, military tactics employed, a completely different lay out from The Last Everything #1, but not less formidable. The morality to kill is highly debated, an intoxicant, justified or not.The intrigue, the secrets fuel enough mystery to pull you into the story. The deceptions are overwhelming, betrayal abound, not knowing who to trust, ups and downs a regular feeling, I didn’t know where I stood, so realistic are the descriptions and scenes, with real life characters. This has been a fantastic story! I highly recommend this series.

Fabulous series!

Frank Kennedy has written another story (or should I say universe) that kept me reading into the late hours for days with this box set. Jewels with unimaginable power, immortals, a ruling caste, and three teenagers from another reality are the characters. Two Earths and several other planets, as well as space fleets are the settings. As I read along, I could never have imagined what the ending would be. Lots of action kept the pace flowing and now he has written the next series. I am in heaven!

Finally, a multi-book space opera that isn't repetitive. Typically, I find these grand space operas to contain the variations of the same story over and over to the point where everything just seems like variations on a theme. Not so with The Impossible Future: Complete set: An Epic Space Opera. Each of the four volumes stand out on their own (not that each is a stand alone book, just that they don't offer a variation of the previous book(s)). It starts with a protagonist with whom you can identify and even feel a little pity for what he is being dragged through only to have that protagonist become a major antagonist who you dispise throughout the rest of the books. There are no real 'heroes' but 'anti-heroes'. Each character, in their own way, is responsible for acts that are reprehensible just that some are more than the other. Well written characters and plot lines which expose plots with plots throughout the story up through to the end. I highly recommend you give this series a try...you won't be disappointed.
