Three full-length novels and a prequel novella in one set! Rogue Countess Forced into marriage by her family and abandoned by her husband, Anna vowed to never again be anyone's pawn. Her only weakness might be the love she still harbors for the man who betrayed her. Reckless Viscount A womanizing rake abducts an innocent heiress and must learn to believe in love before it is too late. Rebel Marquess The Marquess of Rutherford has been avoiding the marriage noose for years. The last thing he expected was to end up engaged to a woman with even less desire to marry than he has. Relentless Lord Miles Whitely is a shameless flirt with a wicked reputation. When Hannah Walpole declares she cannot be seduced, Miles eagerly accepts her unwitting challenge.
My love of romance began one summer when I was thirteen and complained of boredom. I ended up with one of my mother's Barbara Cartland books and an obsessive interest that expanded from there. My affinity for writing began with sappy pre-teen poems and led to a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on Creative Writing from the University of Minnesota--Twin Cities.
I love pizza, wine, and dark brooding heroes! With a husband, three kids, and two dogs at home, it can be difficult to find the time (and the motivation!) to write. But somehow the words keep showing up on the page. I am endlessly grateful to the many wonderful readers who enjoy my books and ask for more!
Relentless Lord - 5 stars A lighthearted, fun and sexy short story; made me smile and left me wanting more of these two.
Reckless Viscount - 4 stars I absolutely loved the first 75% of this story; the MCs had not only an incredibly hot physical connection, but a true soulmate vibe. Which is why the last 25% left me so disappointed. Overall though, a very good story.
Rogue Countess - 5 stars I was surprised by how much I liked this story. The enemies-to-lovers trope is one I usually avoid because it seems they always break my heart, and because there are usually way too many negative emotions in these kinds of stories than I am comfortable with. But this beautifully woven, emotionally complex story hit all the right notes for me. I loved Anna from the beginning… she was the perfect mix of a confident woman who worked very hard to make a life for herself, but still the lost, hurt young woman scarred by the cruelties of her family and abandonment by her husband. It took me a while to warm up to Jude because I just don’t dig mean, self righteous people, but the more he questioned his preconceived notions about Anna, the more I fell for him. There was an underlying thread of intense (initially unconsummated) lust between these two, and while it was steamy and delicious it was there for more than lust’s sake. It was the tenuous connection that kept them together long enough to truly get to know each other. On Jude’s part especially, this allowed him to move from arrogant pain in the a**, to a growing respect and admiration for Anna, which turned to deeper feelings and had me rooting for them to get the Happily Ever After they deserved. Highly recommended.
I enjoyed the stories, however I did get very bored with all the "grannyporn" for me the story doesn't need this aspect, my own imagination would get me through these parts, however I suppose to attract younger readers this might help. Whereas an older person has lived through the erotica and l have to admit it's a lot more satisfying in real life that reading it. I won't be purchasing any other books by this author, l find them really boring.
I enjoy the twist and turns this writer uses. I could do with more story and less drawn out sex scenes. I also appreciate that this writer seems to have a good sense of the behavior of the period she writes about. It just fun reading.
I'll read this series a third time I'm sure! Each book is interesting, unique, and steamy! I do wish, however, we could avoid the fallacy of the maidenhead. There is no membrane to rupture in a virgin.
