Review: 4 stars for Perfect Dissonance, Book two.

Okay. First off,.... there’s just so much that went on in the first book. So many answers about Jared. However, there were still questions about his twin brother, Jessie. And book two takes you on another emotional rollercoaster - both with the past and current issues - that there’s was not a minute where I wasn’t feeling some type of emotions. Often very strong emotions at that.

Jessie is completely different from Jared. Even with being identical twins they couldn’t be any more different. And a lot of that comes from revelations that happen in book one and carry over into Jessie’s story.

I’d say that yeah, you can read this as a stand alone, however you might be a bit lost of some of the side characters and their stories - such as Jared, Lydia and the band. Because, while the first book was focused on Jared and Lydia they’re still a huge part of the second book. So I suggest you start on book one.

Another thing that carries over from the first book is the often intensity of the story. These two have issues and watching them go through it all,... oh my heart.

I can’t say much without giving anything away but I did highly enjoy this second book. I was so happy when Jared and Lydia were such a large part of this book. I was worried I’d be missing out of these two, but that wasn’t the case at all.

In the end, it was very emotional for me and ran me through so many varying feelings, including but not limited to wanting to throw my kindle one minute to heartbreak the next.

There was even more revelations, some massive and a couple twists I never saw coming. I recommend these two books for the characters, their stories and the emotional rollercoaster that awaits you. Can’t wait to see what the author writes next. Enjoy!

Note: l was only given the ARC copy of the second book in the series so l will only be judging the novel on its own.

Perfect Dissonance 2 focuses on twin heroes and their journey back to reviving their brotherly bonus after living in different states. Jessie a paraplegic needs his struggling rockstar brother Jared's help to get back his leg whilst juggling with their separate relationships in between healings their past of their abusive father.

What l liked most about this book was the element of family and them coming back together and rekindle there brotherly bond was just heartwarming especially Jessie who despises his diversity he manages to make a successful life for himself l just wished we see more of him overcoming adversity instead of crying all the time because it felt to me he didn't need surgery to fix his problems instead he needed a therapist.

Now for the parts I wasn't a fan of was the relationship between Jessie and Mia individually I don't mind them but Mia came off to me as needy and when they started to form a relationship it felt forced because they kept on talking about their history they had together instead of focusing on the people that they are in the present time.

Overall it was a wonderfully written short drama-filled romance novel that at times was heartfelt and that is why I'm rating it 3 out of 5 stars.

Perfect Dissonance 2 is the second book in the Pounding Skin series about identical twins, Jared and Jessie Eden. Although these guys are identical, their personalities are completely different. I fell in love with Jared from Book 1!

I love the relationship between these brothers. The dual POV lets us delve deeper into their back story and I LOVED being able to get into Jared's head - I fell in love with him from the first book!!! His love for Lydia really shows through in this story - where are all the REAL men like this?? The revelations at the end of Perfect Dissonance 2 were totally unexpected and I wish there had been more time to digest everything! Wow! I think a few more chapters could have helped to better unpack everything.

There were a few issues that stood out and I had a few pauses as I was reading but it was nothing major.

Overall, I rate this as a 4.5 for smokin hot romance, family struggles, love and heart breaking revelations. Recommended!! I hope there's another book for Zeke and Asia!

PERFECT DISSONANCE 1&2 (Pounding Skin) by L.M. Kennedy are the first books of hers I have read. I am so glad I read the books back to back and high recommend you do the same. I loved Lydia right away but it took a bit for me to come around to Jared. I liked Jessie immediately and was so invested in him. L. M. Kennedy wrote deep and raw stories about these brothers who have gone through so much. She doesn't sugar coat anything! Such great stories about healing and love!

I love this book. Jesse, Mai, and Jared were terrific; I love the relationship between brothers and how the struggles and the abuse they have made them strong in unique Jesse. This book has angst, but the romance is what you want.
Kennedy, I love every second of it.
I recommend it 100 %
