Very nice Daily Devotional

I love a lot of the publications from Guideposts (although they have a lot that are not available on Kindle, and I probably would buy even more of them if they were on Kindle). This one did not disappoint. A compilation of daily essays from several authors, it gave (as the subtitle indicates) daily encouragement and inspiration. I was glad for the convenience of having it in Kindle format. I subscribe to Guideposts Magazine, Angels on Earth, and Mysterious Ways, all of them on Kindle as well. I have enjoyed Guideposts publications for all of my adult years and highly recommend them for inspirational reading.

Freedom to Pray

I began each day in 2022 reading Mornings with Jesus along with 3 other daily Christian books. I am Catholic and much of our faith is routine driven, the Rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and daily prayers. I found comfort in the guidance and freedom the daily books provided me . They allowed me to speak more freely with Jesus. I would recommend Mornings with Jesus to all christians no matter what stage you are in your relationship with Him.

The "action" parts of this daily devotion are unrealistic. Some were cute, like, write your favorite Bible verse on a post it, but most were unactionable unless you like in a fairy tale village and you do not have a job. It was the opposite of inspiring, one star so I do not make the mistake of attempting this one again.

I've been reading the Morning With Jesus series for the past 4 years and have been truly blessed and enlightened by the each Ruth's inspired journey. I look forward to the 2023 edition. Thanks to all who have contributed. I am certain that you all are being used by God.

Mornings With Jesus comes from Guideposts with many wonderful inciteful writers. Each day is a page. Each day there is something to contemplate, affirm, uplift, or encourage. Interestingly the cover had sunflowers which struck me in February as a daily reminder of Ukraine.
