Bunny decorates eggs, looks for hidden treats, eats hot cross buns, and wears an Easter bonnet. But it is only after she goes to church that she discovers the true meaning of Easter.

Charming animal characters populate the book and the story is told in simple AABB rhyme.

As a parent and teacher, I'm all about using the familiar to open up conversations about what may be new or unfamiliar. This book has lots of those opportunities built right in!

The adorable illustrations and Bunny's curiosity about "What is Easter?" draws kids in right away. Then the book shows Bunny experiencing Easter traditions that many families may be familiar with like hot cross buns, Easter egg decorating, celebrating new life in nature, going to church, and more.

My favorite part is the end, when Bunny thinks she has figured out what Easter is all about and "deep inside her spirit glows." When kids turn the page, they see Bunny's answer: Jesus!

This sweet, colorful book would make a great addition to an Easter basket or Sunday School lesson.

Jack borrowed this book from the Ashland Public Library.

I picked it because it looked like a cute Easter book without realizing it was religious. But it nicely marries the secular traditions with the religious aspect of Easter. Dada read it to Jack the first time and then he wanted us to read it a few more times before bed.

Readers follow along a cute bunny as she makes her way through the day of Easter. It begins when Bunny wakes up Easter morning and ponders the question, "What is Easter?" She reflects on answers to this question throughout her day, participating in various traditions associated with the Christian holiday.

This is a cute, rhyming board book perfect for reading to toddlers to introduce some of the traditions associated with Easter, but most importantly, to celebrate Jesus. This has beautiful, vibrant illustrations throughout with lots of different animal characters joining in on the festivities.

Thanks to Edelweiss and the publisher for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

When Bunny awakens on Easter morning, one thought fills her mind: "What is the real meaning of Easter?"

This adorable board book, written by Laura Sassi and illustrated by Ela Jarzabek, shares Bunny's Easter morning excitement for special food, new clothes, and baskets of treats. More importantly, however, when Bunny goes to church later that morning, she discovers that Jesus is the real reason for the season.

Filled with symbols of hope and new life, BUNNY FINDS EASTER should be added to every child's Easter basket!

I wrote this book to be a sweet introduction for littlest ones that Easter is about Jesus! In the story, Bunny hops through her day -encountering wonderful Easter traditions. Are they what Easter's all about? Bunny finds out when she arrives at church and all rise to sing the Easter news. Jesus! He's what Easter's all about. (But all those fun traditions she encounters along the way are clues... to point us to Him.) I hope the book sparks introductory conversations with little ones.

I love that this book includes a bunny which is the beloved animal of Easter yet gets to the point of Easter - Jesus. This book follows bunny through her Easter day and all the typical Easter hoopla but winds up stating Jesus is what Easter is about. Love it. Simple yet adorable.

I won this book in a giveaway and my kiddos and I absolutely loved reading it together. The illustrations were beautiful and the story of Easter and love of God was a great way to remind my children of the importance of the day. It will definitely be a book we read over and over again. I think I expected something deeper from the title, but the book is great for young children just beginning to understand the traditions of Easter. If you are looking for a book that tells the story of Easter from a Christian perspective, this is not exactly it.

Great illustrations. Easy to follow story. I read this to my niece, and she greatly enjoyed it. It covered all of the Easter themes and even had a nod to Jesus.

Rhythmic rhyming text coupled with wonderful, charming art. Join Bunny as she looks for clues to the big question: What is Easter? It’s more than decorating eggs and baking Hot Cross Buns.
