Barbour Publishing’s 60-Second Refreshment: Daily Messages from God’s Heart is an encouraging book. 60-Second Refreshment: Daily Messages from God’s Heart has 365 different encouragements for the year. Each entry can be read in 60 seconds like the title says. Each day either had a quote, a thought, or a Bible verse.

I used 60-Second Refreshment: Daily Messages from God’s Heart as part of my devotion time. Some days I would read multiple entries. It was nice just to pick up the book and get nuggets of encouragement as I needed them. I found the book encouraging, but I personally would have liked more Biblical references in some of the entries to back up what the book was saying about God and Jesus. Despite my personal preference, I still enjoyed the book and believe it will encourage others.
