Keep Trying

This exciting book is for any age. It has a message for every kid that is not as fast running as the rest or who is not quit as good at basketball as they want to be. The illustration shows Whitney's sorrow when the mean kids laugh at her. What does her friend Kara say that will help her I highly recommend this book for every kid who wants very much to be better at outside games.

Amazing

What an enjoyable book!

I like the way the topics of this book flows.

Very encouraging and achievable for children and an excellent reminder for us adults.

Thank You Elizabeth Estrada for bringing the "Don't Quit" poem to an update version.

Wow, the illustrations were very calming which I believe helped relax the reader to help then want to try again.

I look forward to reading more.

The main character in this story is Kiara, she learns how to overcome obstacles and to try again when she fails. The message in the book is important, but the rhyme feels forced and doesn't flow easily. This book is part of a series and comes with teaching resources, so overall could lead to great outcomes for students. So despite my comment about the rhyme, I have given this book three stars.

THEME: Resilience, persistence, self-management, friendship and perseverance.

ILLUSTRATIONS: Resilience, persistence, self-management, friendship and perseverance.

I Choose to Try Again: A Colorful, Picture Book About Perseverance and Diligence (Teacher and Therapist Toolbox: I Choose 2)
by Elizabeth Estrada
This book was used in social emotional learning, and crew with the class I was in this morning. The book talks about working through difficulty. The idea that you should push through and try again when you don't succeed. The pictures are beautiful and show various children going though personal struggles as they overcome the problems.

This is a story with social emotional learning in mind. This story is told from Kiara's point of view which will help open your child's mind to what it feels like to fail, and then try again. Kiara teaches children how to be mentally strong. The intended audience is 4-8 years and preschool-3rd grade. I selected thus book because  this will teach studnets not to give up on the first try and you might fail a few times but keep going.

A wonderful book with beautiful art and I loved how it’s written (rhymes). The messages are timeless. This is for children but it’s also perfect for adults too, we need to be reminded how to choose to try again.

I read this for myself (because I'm not a mother) at age 21 because I've found a love for children's picture books with inspiring messages. I believe picture books can be for all ages, not just children. And as an aspiring author of children's picture books myself, I need to read others' works to inspire my own writing.

This book IS inspiring, and I am not just saying as a fellow writer, I am saying thay as a reader. It is motivational, fun to read, well written, well illustrated, and overall this book and it's message is memorable and life-changing. Plus, the racial diversity and the representation of having a Black girl main character make this book all the more beautiful. It is perfect for any young child or even teen or adult who needs some encouragement and a reminder of why we are never supposed to give up on something we really want to achieve.

There are many other books that have a similar theme and purpose, but they are not Elizabeth Estrada's "I Choose To Try Again." Trust me, if you are thinking of getting this book, GET IT! You will not regret it.

I give it a 4 out of 5 stars, because the rhythm and rhyme scheme was not the best at times. I'm now eager to purchase and read the other books in this author's "I Choose" series. Thank you to Ms. Estrada for blessing so many with this book.❤️

I Choose To Try Again is an amazing read. It's a conversation between two friends Kiara and Whitney. Kiara has many interests like piano and football. However, when she experiences a big fall. She feels like quitting and giving up. That's when her friend Whitney comes to her rescue who lets her that everything is difficult at first. But if you keep trying then you can solve the puzzle. She tells her that people might tell her that she won't be able to accomplish her goals. The important thing is to never believe the naysayers and put utmost trust in oneself. Kiara got a C on her test, but she didn't get selected for her football team. Kiara still didn't lose her heart and was determined to study harder and try harder. She chose to TRY AGAIN when life got rough. She refused to get defeated and surpass her limits.
I Choose To Try Again is a great read for people of all age groups.
