Supernatural Underworld #2

Oracle Among Hounds

FATE BELONGS TO ME

But it turns out, there's more to being Fate than just seeing visions and changing things every now and then.

When I took the old god's power, I also took its responsibilities.

Add in my newfound immortality, which requires proving myself to Serberus the way he proved himself to me… and my vow to the unicorns on top of that, and my life just got more complicated.

Did I mention that another one of the old gods is after me?

Yeah, things are really getting interesting.

4.25 - I really enjoyed 'Oracle Among Hounds' and eagerly await more from this world. 😉😘
I adored the growth in Indi and Seb's relationship and how their relationship evolved. We learned more about Supernatural Underworld, meet new characters (I definitely had favorites and need more) and see a lot of change. While I empathize with the characters struggles and hardships, I was not happy with a couple of the group's actions. Especially since they caused the problem(s) and their actions only compounded the sins.

'Oracle Among Hounds' was a fun and fast read, the last quarter even more so and look forward to reading more.

This was even better than the first. There was just so much love and hope and happiness in this book that I was impossible not to be happy at the end of it. At the end of this book, where it shows Lola Glass’ other books, it says this series is completed. I really hope we get more from this world though. I want to see what happens to Lake and her mate, how things work out with Tala and Geryon, how the Accidentals’ world changes, what kind of awesomeness the orphan children become, when Moax find his mate, and it would be super cool to see more of the old gods. I’m really loving this world, and hope to see a lot more of it in the future.

I loved the idea of this world that Lola has created, the various types of species and the twists that were added into the ‘mating’ process that made this duology unique.

Serb, with his beautiful words, protectiveness and loyalty, and Tala’s stunning personality, strength and attitude, were my favourite characters.

Unfortunately I really struggled with the idea of Indi basically being able to say what goes, as Fate, and I just couldn’t connect with this book as strongly as the first. To me, this was just people not accepting life as it is but also refusing to work to change it, expecting someone else to do it for them.

The story didn’t flow as well together with the pacing of events and I would’ve enjoyed the events that did happen to last a bit longer as I couldn’t grasp one before another was already happening.

*Spoiler*
You’d have to read the book for this to be in context, but I really disliked the part of the story where all the orphaned and traumatised children were just said that they would be turned into supernaturals from basically human, without it being suggested they would have a choice, forcing yet another change onto them.
As someone who works with high risk children, this completely rubbed me the wrong way and it didn’t make sense to me to throw in that course of action out of the blue.

IT WAS PERFECT! This novel was perfection.

I didn't know if Lola could weave it all together in one novel but the absolutely did it. It took the characters on a wild ride and I was not prepared for it.

The characters all go on their own hard journey in this book and a lot of truths have to be faced but at the end of the day they faced the problems as they arose and they came out on top.

I can't wait to read more in this world because I refuse to accept that we won't get more. I loved all the races and the lore that Lola took and made her own in this book and she left it wide open for more stories.

If you are a PNR fan then Lola Glass is for you. This is in Kindle Unlimited too, so give it a shot!

I am so pleased to have dived back into this world. The different shifters, the unique take on mates (and having to earn that title instead of it just being fated), and the general imagery of this world was very enjoyable.

Serb and Indi’s relationship grew to be very thoughtful. I love that these two characters found peace with each other, both finally getting the chance to love and be loved.

I do think some of the aspects of this book deserved more care and research. What criticisms I did have were taken graciously by the author, and subsequently edited, however there’s only so much someone like me can pick up on. Also, certain situations didn’t sit well with me, such as when Serberus or Indi made decisions for other people through Indi’s gift.

Good

After being kidnapped by the Unicorns, Indi finds herself in a race against time to prevent her own death.
And when that’s done? Well the goddess of fate has responsibilities, and plenty of beings who want something from her…

Indi and Serb’s story comes to an end with this book, completing their tale, and answering a few questions. She learns a lot about her power, and of course, there are things she must do before she can live happily ever after.
There’s a ton of action packed into the pages of this book, and a story of flawed people finding not only their forever love, but their reasons for being too.
It’s a thoroughly enjoyable read that urban fantasy fans will enjoy.

Did I just read the Odyssey? Holy dang. Oracle Among Hounds is a LENGTHY book and goes from one twist to the next with barely a relaxing breath in between. Whew. What a journey.

I think Oracle Among Hounds by Lola Glass is a love it or hate it situation. Glass can write a hell of a good story, but there are also moments where one might go…was that completely necessary?

I see a lot of potential spinoffs and there are just a ton of extra characters that make you wonder what is going to happen to them? Very good writing style; a bit longer of a book than I tend to want to read these days, and since I am not one for sex scenes I definitely just moved past those. So if you like hot scenes, give it a read and if you don’t, well just flip past those pages and enjoy the story.

This duology is seriously so good!! This picks up where we left off in book one, but I won't mention much to avoid spoilers. The plot is still so good and there's so much happening! I really loved Indi and Serb's relationship and how much development there was. And I loved getting more of the side characters too. We get introduced to some new characters too and get to learn more about the world. I hope we someday get more from this world because I feel like there's a lot more we could learn and new places to explore.
Overall, I loved this book! If you're looking for a unique PNR or just a great series to binge, I highly recommend this one!!

I still enjoyed the wrap up of this duology but I felt like I didn’t connect to this Georgie as well as her original trilogy. Her original trilogy I really loved the characters and the depth of characters and friendships and relationships that were built, in this one I don’t feel like that was done as well. Maybe it’s because it’s not set in our world and she spent more time developing the underworld rather than on the characters? I just didn’t connect as well this time, I also felt like the pacing was a bit off. However still enjoyed this story and look forward to what Lola has in store for us next!

This is the second book in the Supernatural Underworld duology. It is a fast-paced story in the same high fantasy world we met in book one. It picks up right where the first book ended. We see our main characters develop their roles and their relationship, and we see some more of some of the secondary characters. I wished Lola wrote spin-off stories about some of the secondary characters to see how their stories continued, such us Lake and Moax (take the hint Lola and make us happy!! - or happier! LOL). I strongly recommend this duology for anyone who likes shifter stories combined with some high fantasy world building and a good romance.

Loved the series so much that I was pretty mad to find out it was a duology!

Loved it!
It's pretty hard for me to find a writer in the leagues of Kresley Cole, Nalini Singh, Christine Feehan...and the list goes on.
The writing flowed so well I'm now up at 4am in the morning writing a review for a book I spent as much time as I cld after the babies went down to sleep just to finish it. Absolute page turner!
If you're trying to find a book with awesome world building, a loveable couple and great relationships (I loved Indi and Tala's BFF-ness!). Just get this book.

Great end to wonderful story

Let me start by saying that I did receive a free ARC from the writer in exchange for a honest review.

Now let me say that I throughly enjoyed this book as much as the first one in the duology. The world building was amazing and detailed. The characters were well fleshed out and their decisions stayed consistent with their personalities.

Overall, I definitely recommend this book for PNR readers. Let yourself get caught up in an interesting world full of shifters, fairies, and accidentals and enjoyed a very worthwhile read.

Oracles reality

I gave a five star rating because this whole story from beginning to end kept me on the edge of my seat, the romance between Seb and Indie was so hot loved that they took the time to know each other! Indie delt with so much change, honestly she's a super strong Heroine. I couldn't imagine Indies stress and responsibility to have to people's fates in her hands ! Don't wanna give away any
spoilers, seriously great reads people if you love paranormal , strong heroines, great shifters this book would make a great pick!

Folla and Serb

I absolutely fell in love with both characters as especially Indi. The continuous evolution of her character created a great plot point for the Indi and Serb. Now what I’m upset about is Serbs epilogue with no additional story…. Lola my girl why would you do me this way. Like what was the mom going to tell them, does she know something about Indi that no one else does. Will we find out about Lake and her match. Will Tala and Geryon evolve and where is Moaxs match. So many questions. Definitely a must read.

This book was a trip. There were so many things that happened in it, it managed not to lose my interest for even a moment. I spent most of the time with a smile on my face while reading, without counting the laughing out loud moments.
Such a perfect series, I really love how Lola portraits and build so many different relationships and managed to leave me with a feeling of contentment at the end of this book

A continuation of characters going through challenges and staying true to themselves. There was also a lot of deceit in this story. A lot of people would see this as a reason for more destruction but what the lead character choose to do marked her as someone who truly deserved to be an a position of power. I loved the way this was written. Also loved the sisterhood between Tala and indi. Seberus really grew on me here even for a scary hell hound you get to see why he is a great person as well.

I had read other books by this author, and I liked the stories... but this last series I read about the history of Indiana and Serberus, I loved their story. As the two became companions, I thought it was beautiful. I would like the series to continue to learn more about how the characters' lives and the underworld will turn out. I just thought the Seer should have fought harder to save herself when she was forced and kidnapped by the Unicorns.

Hated the Ending

While I enjoyed reading the story and was able to see some closure for the characters, there is still so much left up in the air. Like how the conversation went between Indi and her mother, did Lake ever contact her mate to become her other half in holding the power.
I am not sure if there is a spin-off, so I guess what happens to everyone is left up to the readers imagination.

Great story conclusion but…

This was great but Lola, I need closure for Lake and Moax! Just saying. I know you wanna.

Indi and Serb are a wonderful ride or die couple. Just what my heart needed. I get people live enemy to liver tropes but this was deeply refreshing. To crave love, wait for it, honor it, and then cherish it when it arrives is exactly the song of my heart. Thank you.

Great ending

This is the final book. It is only two books. Quick read. I love the development of the characters and how they grew and matured. I wish somethings would have happened like someone actually meeting their mate but we can’t have everything. I kind of wish we can have a “where are they now” book in the future.

Another grand slam

The more time I spend with Indi and Serb, the more I fall in love with them. Indi has some unusual quirks, sensory 8ssues and panic attacks, and Serb loves her just the same. I love that the author makes her characters imperfect, making them more relatable. Love this series!

Loved how everything was wrapped up and fit together. The storyline was something you don't see alot of with Hellhounds, Unicorns, Old Gods, Giants, and almost any supernatural creature you can think of. I also really loved Serb😍, he is a favorite. By having to earn their individual brands it makes for a fun twist on fated mates.

Wonderful wrap up

I really enjoyed see this growth of the characters in this series. Serb and Indi are a wonderful pair that just embraced everything that came at them. Sometimes I think there could have been more depth to the story if they were not so excepting like when Eps leaves. I wanted him to stay and he was just gone but it was a nice story overall.

I truly enjoyed this conclusion to Indi and Serb's story. Again it was fascinating to see how Glass envisioned this amazing world of shifters and supernatural creatures, and to watch Indi find her place among them. I really loved that while Indi and Serb found happiness with each other, both acknowledged the trauma and pain that made them who they were, and neither tried to truly change the other. One of my new favorite characters was a surprisingly insightful carnivorous giant. He brought levity to some heavier moments and helped the story to keep moving in an optimistic direction. I really felt that Glass managed to capture deep emotional reality in the midst of the fantastic and this was a great conclusion to the duology.

Great Duet!

I love books that have original concepts and stray from the same old storylines and tropes. I've read a lot of PNR books but this one grabbed my attention right from the start.

I LOVE Indi and Serb, both as individuals and how they interact as a couple.

I'd love a follow up of this couple in the future when they start a family!

Overall a great read!

Indie and Serberus were a match made in vision 😉😊.. Loved them as a couple 💕
I would love to see the other characters having thier own stories too 💙🧡

P.S. I think Serberus with an 'S' is much better 😉

Indi ❄ and Serb 🔥

This is the first set of books I've read from this Author. From beginning to end I was hooked. It kept me guessing along the way. Nothing boring or predictable. To see Indi and Serb's relationship grow and strengthen in this book was beautiful. I would highly recommend.

I really loved it

Indi was a unique character that really developed over time. To go from being lonely to having a partner and friends for life is what a lot of people dream of. Serb was a great character too. I loved his alpha man possessiveness! This was a great sorry and perspective that I've never read before. I loved it. Good job Ms Glass.
