Era una leggenda, finché non se n’è andato.

Io non ero nessuno, finché non sono stata trascinata nella luce.

Non avrei mai dovuto fare parte della Wicked, ma è sempre stata parte di me.

Ora tocca a me fare qualcosa che conta.

The Hero: Jax Jamieson - retired rock star trying to raise his daughter on his own. A daughter who is angry about being lied to most of her life, a young teenager who is rebelling against everything in her life.

The heroine(s): Haley Telfer - she inherited Wicked Records from her biological father and decided to run the company. Since then she sold eighty percent, but still runs the youth program at Wicked that her father started.

The Story: Wicked records wants Jax back. He is still the biggest rock star on the planet. In bringing Jax back to Wicked, it also brings Jax back to Haley. Jax struggles with writers block in coming up with some new songs, while Haley struggles to keep her youth music program running.

I love the supporting characters in this series, such as Haley’s best friend Serena with her pet skunk Scrunchie, Jax’s daughter Annie, Jerry the old sound guy with Alzheimer’s, the guys in the Jax’s band Riot Act and more. I have already read Piper Lawson’s Rival series which is about Jax’s Daughter Annie and her best friend Tyler who she met in this book. I loved that series and waited too long to read this one.

I received a copy and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own.

Piper Lawson proves to us once again, that this couple has their own journey that is full of ups and downs, uncontrollable passion, and beautiful sweet music. Haley and Jax are like a continuation of our favorite song that goes on and on. Their desire sears us once again in “Wicked Girl” and we get to see the culmination of this fiery and musical couple that first stole our hearts in “Good Girl” and left us powerless and once again under their spell in “Bad Girl”. We were left just waiting for the curtain to reopen and for them to rock the stage in the last part of their love story. Luckily Piper didn't keep us waiting to long and the sexual chemistry and angst between these two is still hitting the top of the charts!

I feel like all of Piper's fans saw Haley grow so much and blossom from the nervous young woman who hid behind her computer programs and inquisitive mind to the power house who rocks her stiletto heels and pencil skirts in the boardroom while still wearing her heart on her sleeve. She shows us that power does not have to ruin good intentions and she learns that the most beautiful music takes passion and feelings not a computer program.

Jax is still just as sexy as he was at the beginning. He is older with a more mature vibe about him and yet appears a little lost and heartbroken. He makes you want to cuddle the hell out of him and hope that him and Haley find their way back to each other. Something about this sullen and somber Jax makes not only Haley swoon but me as well. Not to mention the down right naughtiness that takes place between these two that leave temperatures hot and out of control!

Piper Lawson gives us the highly emotional, passionate encore that all of her fans have been clamoring for since meeting Jax and Haley and falling madly in love with them in “Good Girl”. I highly recommend “Wicked Girl” along with the other two books in the series for a romance that is sure to have your heart pounding, face flushed, and fangirling from beginning to end! Piper gave me a couple that I couldn't help but obsess over and want to be there for every angsty, heart fluttering moment. I am always left impatient for more greatness written by Piper. She always gives her all to every new story she pens and that is why my love for her writing just keeps growing.

Overall the books were great, I enjoyed the smoothness of the books, easy to read -and hard to put down. The characters are relatable in terms of emotions and lust etc.

Piper Lawson reels you in with good storylines and then sinks you with cliffhangers that make you want to keep reading. Just the kind of love-sick drama that keeps you wanting more. This is the 4th book I have read of hers and I highly recommend them!

4 stars!

What a fantastic finish to the series! I have binged Haley and Jax’s story from start to finish, and this was a really satisfying conclusion to their journey. Emotional and heartwarming, and a love story worthy of these two characters.

This series is one continuous story, so don’t try and read this one as a standalone, and when reading this review beware spoilers for the earlier books in the series.

The last book saw Haley and Jax make the heartbreaking choice to go their separate ways after they realised that they couldn’t have it all. It’s been two years, and their lives are very different from what they once were, but when Haley needs help at Wicked Records, she knows Jax can help, and the ultimate gamble pays off when he arrives back in town.

That chemistry still sizzles between them, but not only is Jax unhappy to be dragged back into the world he left behind, but their dynamic has completely shifted. It creates some entertaining back and forth, but the love they once had for each other is still very much alive and it doesn’t take too long for them to fall back into each other’s arms.

But they still have barriers between them. Haley is fighting to save the legacy she has tried so hard to protect and is so passionate about, and Jax wants no part of that world. But the more time they spend together, things once again begin to shift, and as all of those old feelings come back – stronger than ever – they’ll finally figure out where they’re supposed to be.

I loved this book. It’s not only a gorgeous second-chance-romance that is sexy, emotional and fun, but it’s got wonderful character development that forms such a strong part of the story. Jax and Haley have both changed so much from the people they were when they first met, and though they’re both still finding their way, bringing them back together allows them to do that as a couple, and I love that so much!

They’ve had their difficulties, but it’s been sensible. I can understand how things played out the way they did, and I think they made really smart decisions for themselves. As much as I loved them together, given all that was happening in their lives, I think their time apart was a really good decision for them and allowed them come back better than ever, and we got to reap all those benefits in a beautifully swoony reconnection!

“I don’t know what I did to deserve you. But I’m not questioning it anymore.”

I have loved this series. Jax and Haley’s love story is full of chemistry, passion and soul-deep connection. It isn’t all sunshine and roses, but it’s real, and the rock star element just makes it even more exciting.

A fantastic read – 4 stars.

Note - The audiobook is narrated by Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood, and they do a great job with it, I definitely recommend listening to this one.

An Audiobook version of this book was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Supporting characters in this series are awesome! But it seems this on-off relationship got me tired. At least some hard feelings would have been understandable if someone had walked away only to come back TWO YEARS later.

I also found this unbelievable thinking about composing music. It's hardly believable that someone comes from retirement, starts composing and the album is out in couple weeks.

I’m not sure what to say about Haley and Jax! I’ve been following their epic love story from the beginning, and it’s been a wild ride! I fell in love with them in Good Girl, and I don’t want their story to end!
I would definitely recommend this series!

I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.

Let me start by saying that you really have to read ‘Good girl’ and ‘Bad girl’ first before reading this novella. Haley and Jax’s story started as a slow burn romance in ‘Good girl’ and got a lot steamier in the second book (Bad girl) and the third book (Wicked girl) is just as hot!
I must confess that after the ending in the second story, I was a bit nervous to start this one but I shouldn’t have worried. Because the writer Piper Lawson gave Haley and Jax (and the readers) a wonderful ending.

After being apart for a long time, Jax and Haley meet again, not because they want to rekindle their relationship but because obligations force them to. Haley needs help with the children music program and Jax still has a contract to fulfill for Wicked. Even after all that time apart, the chemistry between them is still strong. But the past is standing between them and they aren’t the same people anymore. However, both Haley and Jax are questioning the decision that they made then, was it the right one? But they aren’t the only one that are changed. The power in Wicked is also changed and they want something from Jax, that he isn’t sure he can give them. The pressure is on for everyone. And what will happen when everything is done and jax returns home? Is that the end of everything?

After reading ‘Wicked girl’ I can understand why the writer decided to end the second story that way. Both, Jax and Haley needed time to mature, time to follow and finish their personal quest. One of the things that I loved in this story is that music had such a huge impact in many lives. I love the fact that Jax found his way back to music. I was also very happy to discover that there was an epilogue in this story!!! I love those. The story is again told in both POV’S. Just like in the second story, this one is a lot hotter than the first book. Of the three novellas, this one is my personal favourite.

Content warning:

Dislikes:

This book pushed the narrative that girls are harder to befriend than boys are because they all love drama and are gossipy. It’s complete BS. Most girls I have met are friendly and genuine. As for the gossiping, almost everyone on this planet gossips, boys and men included. I loved Annie, but if she was unable to make a single girl friend, she was probably the issue, not the other girls. Also, it’s weird that she gets teased for having a famous rockstar father. You’d think people would want to be her friend for that exact reason.
“I know you think it’s weird that I don’t hang out with girls, but the girls don’t like me. They say things about you. They talk a lot about famous people—famous guys especially.”
“And that’s why you don’t make friends with them?” She nods. “Was it the same in Dallas?” Another nod.

Likes:

Haley. Our girl was bolder than ever and I LOVED it. She’s also driven, intelligent and confident. Jax used to be my favorite, but he’s been replaced by this independent queen.

The other characters. Jax is talented and protective. Serena is confident, hilarious and a great friend to Haley. Annie is a good kid.

The smut. They were the perfect blend between hot and sweet. He’d tie her up and then tell her about how much he loved her, for example. Hot & sweet.

There were a few twists regarding what happened during the time jump.

This quote that was broadcasted to the world:
“Outside of my family, there’s only one girl who’s ever had my heart.”
“Who’s the lucky woman and what did she do to land you?”
I search for Haley across the room. “She yelled at me, hit me and followed me around for months. She sang my songs even when I told her not to. She kept all my secrets and pretty much showed me how to live again.”
“So the way to your heart is through stalking?”
“Nah, so please don’t try it. This particular version of stalking can’t be replicated. It was a one time deal. I read it as charming. It should’ve been weird as fuck.”

The ending. Everything was wrapped up nicely in the epilogue. Every question I had about where the characters ended up was answered and we got a HEA. :)

I didn't know why Jax wanted a rerun of the 3 minute songs ending, and carry on the song forever... but from Annie to jerry it was a really sweet read!

Quite possibly one of the best rock star books I’ve read. Book 3 in this trilogy really is the icing on the cake. What a finale! I’ve made no secret in my reviews of the previous books, I truly adore Jax and Haley. I was desperate for their happy ever after, which, because they are both so blooming stubborn, is not a foregone conclusion. Add into the mix, evil Todd, and I was so uncertain as to which way this story was going to go. I loved Annie and Tyler, they added such a lovely touch to the story (I can so see a book in the making with their story). Wonderful writing (dual POV), loveable characters, and a completely addictive storyline. If I could give a story more than 5 stars this would be it. This book cannot be read as a standalone and must be read after ‘Good Girl’ and ‘Bad Girl’. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.

The third book in the series and the best so far. Two years has passed since the last book. Jax and Haley are seeing each other for the first time when Jax comes back to fulfill his record contract. Their connection and love is still strong. They navigate the few months they have together, knowing their time will come to an end again. But will it actually?

Piper Lawson Wicked bk 3 Wicked Girl

“The second chance at a first ending.”

... And we're back. When I first read this trilogy, I read straight through books 2 & 3, not breaking between books to review each separately. This time, I stopped for a few minutes, and I have to admit that this as a single book instead of a trilogy would've been preferred. My number one reason is that it reads fast and easy, and breaking it up seems unnecessary. But, hey, that's just my two cents.

I mean, I still enjoyed it regardless of the breaks. Jax Jamieson and Haley "Hales" Telfer are destined, even if the stars don't always align. I like that a couple of years have passed, and a few things did and didn't happen during that time. (Note: for some, it might upset for )

Haley Cross may have lasted two years at Wicked… But she won’t last an hour with me.
-- Jax Jamieson

My favorite part is probably when she literally left him hanging. I revisited that scene a couple of times, enjoying it more each time. 🔵🔵🤣 Seeing Annie and Jax click is probably my second favorite part. 🤗

There's a lot packed into this, but it really does pass quickly. Maybe too quickly, as I wanted more of them as a couple navigating the challenges with parenting a teenager, bypassing the craptastic leadership at Wicked, and more.

I read along with the audio book. The narrators, Savannah Peachwood and Joe Arden, continue to deliver a good performance for these characters.

Wicked Girl is book 3 in the Wicked series and it continues right after book 2, this series absolutely needs to be read in order. This was another stellar one. Piper has really made me fall in love with Haley & Jax and following their love story is just like a warm hug even through all their hurdles, issues and misadventures. You can't help but keep coming back for more and hope they will make it in the end. They feel so real, their relationship is imperfect, their challenges are true to real life and their reactions truly reflect how real people would react.

Truly throughout these books Haley blossomed and flourished so much. It was absolutely beautiful to see. Jax opened up and became vulnerable, shedding his rough exterior. Their chemistry in this book is still as hot as ever, the angst and the longing is so scorching. Piper truly delivered an amazing storyline with a couple that I fell hard for, that I didn't want to ever end. This series is my first experience with this author and I can guarantee it won't be my last, because her writing is exceptional !

Overall, this was a fantastic end to the trilogy. There is a last story about them, “Forever Wicked” which is their wedding story that I am definitely jumping into right away ! I just can't get enough of them !

It's been 2 years since Jax and Haley have really spoken. Haley is part owner of Wicked and Jax is retired and trying to raise his 13 year old daughter.

Wicked needs to cut expenses and this puts Haley's project in jeopardy. She stayed to work with the kids in the after school program but it does not make any money. Wicked tells her it will be cut unless she comes up with something.

She comes up with Jax, he is still under contract for one more album. Will Jax take her call or take her to court.

Jax is under contract and knows he has to do the right thing but he does not want to compromise himself to do that so he puts Haley in charge of his album so he can bleed into the music.

Haley and Jax find their way back to each other. They realize they can be together and have everything else too, it just takes compromise.

There story is so sweet..... Continued in FOREVER WICKED

I feel bad saything is - but something about this series was incredibly entertaining and interesting (I have a feeling it's the characters and their chemistry and their development) but something is holding it back from being AMAZING.

I devoured all three books very quickly. Like.... in less than twelve hours. It was fun and enjoyable and I really liked them. Overall, the plot was interesting enough, if not super unique. But it just wasn't enough to ever cross that threshold of amazing. I did round up for this final book for many reasons (I loved the Jax/Annie scenes and Serena is getting her own book and Tyler is a sweetheart and of course, Jax/Haley is absolutely adorable) but overall I'd say this series is a solid 3.5

This is the third and final book in the Wicked Series. You'll love the conclusion to Haley and Jax's story. Well written with complex characters and an entertaining storyline. Secrets, suspense, anguish and lots of drama. A great book. I read an arc copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

I’m sad this is over... I’m happy with how it ended but I wish there was a little more. Apparently Jax and Haley make appearances in Easy Love so that makes me excited. This was a quick read and enjoyable, if you like Rockstar Romance theme you’ll enjoy this series. And the first is free on Kindle, the others are maybe $2.99-3.99 each so not bad really.

Stars: 5/5

Darkness: 3/5
Mystery/Intrigue: 4/5
Uniqueness of Story: 3/5
Humor: 3/5

First, let me preface this by saying I would never have read this except for Piper Lawson and her Off-Limits series. Piper has this ability to pull me into her books from the first couple of pages. Usually, it takes me a while to get into a book. But with Piper’s writing, I’m hooked right away.

A rocker-romance never would have appealed to me because I’m not a huge fan of rock and roll. I am a fan of music, though, so I think that’s one of the reasons I loved this series so much. I’m so glad I started the Wicked series. It was Wickedly good! Ha, sorry, silly pun.

I never would have guessed that I’d consume the first 3 books in this series over 4 days (and this was while I was working on crazy work deadlines, btw). It. Was. That. Good. I couldn’t get enough of Jax and Haley and their wild and incredible love story.

Piper did an amazing job at setting up their back story in Good Girl, developing their love story in Bad Girl, and then rewarded readers with a jam-packed ending in Wicked Girl!

The chemistry between Jax and Haley is insane. FREAKING INSANE. I loved their slow-burning romance and the twists and turns that went with it. Piper really kept me guessing during each book and honestly, I would have been hooked either way because I loved the characters so much.

I wonder why he’s here. I wonder what took him so long. I wonder what he’s going to do to me when I get off this stage.

Jax is such an amazing hero in the book. I expected him to be this annoying rocker who was into drugs and alcohol. Not in the slightest. He may come across as a grump and asshole at the beginning but not for long. Underneath that façade was a gentleman who took care of everyone at the expense of his own happiness. It’s quite satisfying when Jax finally lets go of the reigns and goes for it not only with Haley but in other areas of his life too. I love to sing and music is a part of me too, so I connected with Jax in that way.

But really Haley and Jax really complement one another in the books and throughout the three books, the development of their love story was pure perfection.

This girl’s my shadow. We’re bound together by a thread that won’t let go even though we’re opposites in so many ways—she’s bright, I’m dark; she’s new, I’m jaded; she’s curious, I’m closed off. But from the second I noticed her, I can’t unsee her.

“I can’t be what you want.” I expect her to protest or pull away. Instead she smiles, the tiniest gesture in the blackness of the car, but I feel it in every part of me. “You already are.”

I loved how Hayley was so independent and I respected the decisions she made throughout the books, especially at the end of the second book. I think I would have done the same. As a character, she really grew from the first to the last book. Even though she’s only 24 at the end, I feel like in a way she was acting like she was in her 30s. It makes sense though considering she had to learn how to be alone. She was totally a kick-ass heroine who followed her dreams and wasn’t afraid to show off her tech talents.

I realized being alone is good sometimes. Because no matter what happens, there are times in your life when all you have is you. And you’ve got to learn to have your own back.

A few more thoughts:

The band members were fun to get to know as well as Haley’s BFF Serena and her “skunk” dog named Scrunchie. Haha, that name cracks me up! Oh, and I love sweet Annie.

You have to go into this series not expecting a lot of stream in the first book. It’s definitely a slow-burn romance but I didn’t mind since I connected with the characters so much. Stick with it and then in the second book, you get a ton of steam and then some. I treated the 3 books as a package deal and didn’t mind the cliffhangers. It anything it kept me even more interested!

I love it when a hero has a nickname for the heroine, and in this series, we get two! Hales and Babysitter. Super cute and it was fun reading about Haley’s reaction to both nicknames.

I have one more book to go – Wicked Forever, and I can’t wait to read Annie and Tyler’s story. Whohoo, I’m so happy that I got to experience this incredible series at the start of the new year!

This recently updated edition of the Wicked trilogy not only has an amazing discreet cover but has all three books- Good Girl, Bad Girl and Wicked Girl- within one. Separated by three parts, it is easy to follow along with the audiobooks, which are available to listen to as stand alone (and on Scribd).

Synopsis: Hayley is a broke computer science student. Jax is a famous rock star. The two meet when Hayley take an internship at Jax’s label and despite the age-gap, the attraction is there. However, due to their traumatic pasts and workplace situation, the two are scared to chance.

Thoughts: Overall, this series really shocked me in the best way. I wasn’t sure at first because of the rockstar trope but Piper delivered an authentic story without the stereotypical rockstar persona. Hayley and Jax were made for each other, and I loved experiencing the moment when they were ready to put their fears aside and accept what they have. I listened to the audiobook, and Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood did an amazing job narrating and brining the author’s words to life. We know from the start that Jax and Haley are two complicated characters with traumatic pasts, and I was impressed by how well the narrators added this emotional piece to the story you that can’t often get from reading.

Read if you like:
-Rockstar romance
-Age-gap
-Dual POVs
-Addictive storylines
-Complex, likable characters
-Computer Science
-Music labels

Thank you Valentine PR for the gifted copy!!

I really liked ending to this series. It takes place about two years after Haley chooses Wicked. I really hate the people she had to share the company with. They were asshes, and I'm glad she got the upper hand at the end. Even with them against the program, it still succeeded with the help of Jax. He even helped Tyler get a single out. I'm so glad that Annie decided to give Jax a chance and that Jax decided to just be himself and stop trying so hard. I love that Annie knew all about the proposal and then gave Jax crap for proposing on the tour bus. Honestly, though, it makes sense for their relationship.

Loved this conclusion to Haley and Jax’s story!! These two together were such a great balance and I loved seeing them overcome obstacles together! I feel like Haley really grew into her own person over the course of this series and in this book, she definitely showed her ability to stand on her own two feet. And Jax- he definitely showed maturity in this book as he reconnected with Haley. And as always- the chemistry between the two of them was SO HOT!! I was rooting for their second chance and HEA and this book definitely gave me all that and more. What an amazing rock star romance series and an epic last chapter!

The third book in the Wicked series and I was very intrigued to see what would happen after the ending of the second book. While this wasn’t quite (and we’re talking in infinitesimal degrees of not quite) as good as the first and second books, this was still a fantastic read.

This brought everything together as far as the character’s emotional arcs, which brought together the romance and the HEA and you know what, it was an awesome journey. I’m very excited about finding this author, and more rock star romance to read, because I do love them so.

Jax and Haley haven't seen each other in two years and a lot has happened for both. Jax got custody of his daughter and Haley has been running Wicked. Her dream project is about to be shut down though, unless she can get Jax back with his band to make one final record. He's reluctant and afraid he no longer has what it takes, but when he's back with Haley the songs flow and these two become unstoppable!
So sad to see this couple's journey come to an end but so happy with how it ended! Jax and Haley were always meant to be, even if they were separated for a while.

I loved this book. I loved reading how much Jax and Haley had grown throughout the course of the book. Even though they seem to be at opposite ends of the sword at first, you can't help but root for them. Haley is all grown up and taking on as much as she can while trying to mend her broken heart. Jax is a father now who still misses the girl from the tour but they are done and over...until they are force back together!
