If 0 stars was available, that’s what I would have given it.
Do not read this book, unless you like:
RH’s where the FMC is not priority the #1 priority to her mates.
-The 5th mate being someone who:
-is a sociopath
-stabbed FMC in the back, literally
-planned to kidnap FMC, to enslave her
-killed several of FMC’s allies
-tortured unknown female in dungeon
-raped unknown witch under her roof

Although he stabbed her in the back, and is a danger to her life. FMC keeps numerous secrets about him from her mates:
She made out with him, she continues to see him in their home. Most importantly that he is her mate.

Her mates who are supposed to love her above all else, are livid when they find out. Instead of understand & appreciating their desire to love/protect her. She gets angry at and rejects her loving supportive mates. She shows more care and concern for the murderer/rapist/torturer in the moment.

Hiding her true identity and entering into the protectors is supposed to keep her alive. Strong FMC with a touch her and die for her best friend - her roommate turned sister.
Trials to enter the selection for the 4 kings, but she's the last remaining royal in the line of royals that used to rule the country.
5 mates (yes please).
There is some MM action sparsely throughout the books but well worth the read.

Possibly one of the worst books my eyes have had the displeasure of reading. The plot is off. The writing is horrendous from page 1. This could’ve been such an amazing book if written or edited(at all) by someone else.
I wouldn’t waste your time reading this garbage heap.

Really hard to get into. I think the story had potential, but it never hit the spot. I kept going to social media because I was bored. DNF
