Dr. Nicole Greenway has it all. She has the high-end apparel, fancy car, the immaculate home, rewarding profession where she is the boss. But the only things that are missing is love—and sex. Actually she prefers not to get involved with anyone because she is already committed to her private practice.
Vincent Black, a busy, multi-billionaire entrepreneur, has gained attention even the negative kind. His best friend double-crosses him but even that is not a challenge for him—or so he thinks. Vincent is gorgeous, confident, sexy and seducing women has never been difficult …
Until he met her in his club.
But she had no interest in him because she was already in love—with her career.
Can he win her heart? Will he show her how love again? Will he resuscitate her?
Nurse by day and a romance writer at night. She is not on the N.Y bestseller list, yet, but is well on her way. Authoring her first novel, Resuscitation, took courage, guts, and a leap of faith, but she did it.
She resides in Georgia and lives happily ever after with her King and Princesses.
Nikki is a top-notch cardiac practitioner. Her career was her life, and there was no room for men, much less love. She goes to a night club, where she meets the alluring Vin, the owner and successful entrepreneur. Vin was a man that always got what he wanted and he wanted Nikki.
Nikki should’ve give Stalker Guy—this Vincent Black—a moment of her time, but, damn, did he resuscitate a carnal need she didn’t know she had. But, no, she didn’t have time for that. Of course, she could do worse than the hottest, sexiest, richest bachelor in Chicago (and she has.) Meanwhile, Vin was battling other things like his warehouse being used a drug ring, his partner backstabbing him, and his mother’s failing health. The biggest obstacle for him was winning Nikki’s heart in this war.
Full of romance and suspense. The only downside is the cliffhanger, but it definitely makes me want to continue the next book in this series.
The begining was very cliche. Beautiful perfect independent woman meets beautiful perfect in achievable rich playboy who gives up his playing ways and falls in love with her without knowing anything about her except she looks good and sex is good. This book is not for cynics. But the ending does leave you longing for more. The Erotic sections were arousing.
I don't know if this book was actually meant to be funny but the saccharine and cheese levels made it hilarious. The writing is fine other than some amusingly wrong vocabulary and a enough typos to trip the squint-and-double-take meter.
Ok, it wasn't really my thing but it could have been a lot worse. And it was interesting to broaden my horizons by reading something that at least one person thinks there's a demand for.
Great Read especially for someone in the medical field. Some may say Nikki maybe a bit materialistic but what’s wrong with that. Can’t wait to learn about her character in book 2!
