Not only is the art in this book bad, but the techniques are terrible too. There are so many better how-to books out there, even just for the manga style (I recommend Manga for the Beginner: Everything You Need to Know to Get Started Right Away!)

This is a step-by-step book on drawing Anime. The instructions are not only with pictures, it also comes with word instructions. A total winner. There are twelve pictures to draw. All you need is a pencil, eraser, and paper. I highly recommend this whimsical and enjoyable book that will make you feel amazing when at the end of each picture you can say, "I can draw Anime!!"

This is a mix of line-by-line drawing and under-drawing methods. As much as can be done while respecting copyright rules, I think this book does a decent job of indicating how to draw in the "anime" or manga style.
