Livi
Being a female in a male-dominated career can be daunting, but I refuse to allow others’ attitudes to deter me. I always try to be professional, compassionate and non-judgmental. Through hard work, I have earned respect within my department. Wearing a badge and uniform, I’ve seen the best and worst of humanity. Heartbreaking, dangerous, hectic or hilarious, I approach each shift, and person, with an open mind.
As all cops know, the partner you’re teamed up with makes all the difference in the world, and I struck gold. Work partners and best friends, James and I have a tight, unshakable bond. We’re each other’s support system when things get rough and defend each other’s right to wear the uniform against anyone who believes otherwise.

Cash
Muscled, tall, tatted and The Devil’s Angels MC Sergeant at Arms, some see me as an intimidating man. Others see me as quiet, thoughtful and dedicated to my blood and MC families. I’m the first call everyone makes when things are going sideways. Whether it’s bullets or fists flying, I’m the man you want at your back. Highly respected within my club, I live by a strict biker code.
When a life-altering event occurs in my life, I will not waver in doing what’s right. With the love and support of my two families, I’ll face my new circumstances with determination.

When a large, quiet biker crosses paths with an outgoing female cop, things are never the same. Those two lifestyles should stay worlds apart, and yet there’s a pull between them that neither can deny.

This is Book 5 in the Devil’s Angels MC Series. The books should be read in order to fully enjoy the storyline. More books in this series are to follow.
While this book does not contain a cliffhanger for the main characters, there is a parallel storyline within that will continue in the following books.

I really enjoyed the previous books in this series but this one just fell short to me. I never felt a connection between Cash and Livi. I felt like she was way more invested in Cash than he in her. He came across as she was good enough for the moment but he didn't want to take things further in case someone better came along. He was hurtful to her and not apologetic about it one bit. She was good enough to keep around to take care of his needs and get up at night with his kid but not good enough to ride on his bike because that was for the woman he planned to keep around forever and he didn't think she was it—he even told her as much before he watched her walk out the door. He didn't call. Didn't try to go after her... nothing. Just radio silence. And it wasn't the good type of angst, where they come back and realize how much they love the other person. No, he just flat out didn't give a damn. He used being careful with his son as an excuse, yet she was there taking care of his son as much as he was, so she's good enough to let him sleep and pick up the slack but nothing more. Eighty percent of the story was filled with everyone and everything other than the two main characters. The focus was very seldom on them as a couple and they didn't even get their first date until half way through the book. I just don't get it. This honestly didn't feel like a romance at all. The entire story just left me with a bad feeling and like Cash settled for her because no one else caught his interest while they were separated. I may give the next book a try. If I do and it starts out like this one did, I'm done!

Just Ok

This book was not my favorite in the series. I didn't feel a connection between Cash and Livie and it felt like things were just thrown into the story to try to add drama or interest (her brothers issues and her not being allowed to ride on the back of Cashs' bike). Don't even started on all the different characters that added nothing to the story (Lars, Terry and the Aunt's) I understand that they were his family but they were too involved especially considering that her family was barely mentioned. Also, I had issues with the "kids" of the club. Craig is a child but talks and swears like an adult and no one seems to have a problem with it. We're told repeatedly how bad of a driver Tessie is and how many accidents she's had but no one thinks to take away her car or license and don't even get me started on the incident that happened with Bella at the end of the story. Definitely would not recommend.

Never Fails

Yes! My girl Lola knocks another one out of the park... Homerun!
I'm so glad the series has continued with an amazing storyline that has made me mad, laugh, cry, and held captive with sheer entertainment. I love how the current and previous characters pop-ups throughout the story. Lola keeps each story fresh with new adventure while injecting storylines from the other books in this series, and it still works and makes sense... So now Lola has left us with one hellvua cliffhanger and I'm going to wait impatiently for the next installment...Ugh!

Livi has been crushing on biker Cash for awhile but never acted on it. When Cash finds out she is interested, he asks her out. It turns out they could end before even given a chance to be together, but misunderstandings quickly fall to the side and Cash explains what happened that had Livi upset. Throw in a unexpected surprise and Cash and Livi have a wild ride becoming a couple.

This was great, I thought Cash was amazing. Really liked Livi a lot and her partner James is a hoot. Throw in a dog named Snot your bound to have a few laughs in this terrific book in this amazing series. Amazing.

The couple: Cash and Livi

Romance genre: MC
Series: The Devil's Angels
Length: 320 pages

Plot: Cash is the enforcer for the MC, and loves his life. It's a little boring and definitely regimented (there are lots of references to his OCD, but it was difficult to tell if it was real OCD or the way that people do self-diagnoses) but it works for him. Then he goes to his gym (place of work) one day and an ex-girlfriend has left their baby there for him - a baby he didn't know he had. In the meantime, Livi, a cop is moving along in her life also. She has a best friend and a dog and that's enough for her. But then she meets Cash (right before he gets the baby) and he asks her out. They eventually go on their date and then they both have decisions to make about where life is taking them - together or separately.

Character development: This series suffers from a problem I occasionally see in longer-running series. Sometimes when including characters from previous books in the series, those characters become more like caricatures. Case in point: Axel. Truly, he's the worst. He was kinda cute, a little quirky the first time we met him. But now, those characteristics have been so exaggerated as to be unrealistic and quite frankly, idiotic. I'm not sure how he makes it through the day. I feel like there's an attempt to pull him back from that image every now and then because in every book, he gives a deep-sounding piece of advice at least once. But the rest of the time it's over-the-top acting and I don't think it enhances the story or my understanding of the characters. Mac (even though he's a bird) is another character who has morphed into caricature. All of them really - you have the dumb overprotective father, the swearing bird, the dirty child, the bad driver teen, the overeating garbage disposal, etc. Those are definitely characteristics, but the overemphasis makes the characters all one-dimensional and has diminished my enjoyment of the series.
Furthermore, this book included so much about all the other characters rather than concentrating mostly on the main couple. Some people enjoy that type of story. I don't!

Aside from that, Cash was thrown a curveball and did okay with the sudden appearance of a baby in his life. What he didn't do well with was relationships. Gosh, did he ever screw up with Livi! I don't understand it either. The book indicated that he was into her and loved watching her with his son. But then he was like, nope, I like you, but just up to the line, and not quite enough to admit you into every part of my life. Before the end of it all, I was made at all of them except for Livi. And then she took him back so quickly that I was a little mad at her too!
I know I should have used more words to help her understand that I wasn’t saying she’d never be a permanent fixture in my life. I just meant I needed more time to decide. And during that time, I didn’t want her riding with any other man, not even James. Jesus, even I think I’m being an ass about this. Maybe some time apart will help. I gather my son close to my chest and wonder what I just did.

Gosh, he's an idiot!

I wanted to like this more. The main characters didn’t really get much page time together. I didn’t feel any connection between them. There was a lot of unnecessary content that didn’t add anything to the story. I skimmed a lot.

I usually can’t wait to read a book in this series. Unfortunately this fell flat. There were new characters added to the crazy family through this story. But that’s it. Not much of a story when a problem arises you were told how it was fixed afterwards. Even an issue the main characters had was wrapped up without any drama or reality to it. I was mad for Livi. I wanted to see her have some sort of back bone and stick up for herself. It would have been nice to see Cash grovel a bit. Nothing, just a HEA wrapped little package. I’m all for HEA’s if the characters earn them. We never really see these characters interact much. We’re told they do months at a time. Let’s hope the next story is better. I just felt like this took forever to get just to be so disappointed in it.

A let down

The first books show the women strong but still taken care of...this one is strong but not good enough for his BIKE.. And has to be told that he's still deciding it she's permanent??.SO when she comes back he suddenly allows her to ride? Like she's suddenly good enough.. When he let her ON his BIKE I was done reading...refused to finish book. A total let down..like a different person wrote this one..

This one was ok. I didn't really like Cash, the H. Livi, the h, her partner James and the rest of the characters saved the book for me. This MC is a tight knit group so there are always appearances of people from previous books. As always there's some humor thrown in here and there. As well as some darker subjects. This was available on KU

YES! YES! YES!!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS BOOK! This whole series is PHENOMENAL!
LOLA, I FREAKIN LOVE YOU!! Right from the begining this series captured my attention. Each book has it's own brand of fun and excitement. I I never wanted the story to end. It was so great getting to know Cash's character better, he always seemed to have it all together with his alpha ways and the OCD was kinda funny to think about in a big bad@ss biker and I really love keeping up with all the characters. Cash knows what he wants in a woman and just when he meets Livi his world get thrown into chaos. I still adore Chubs and Lucy and oh the suspense that's coming with Chubs has me on edge just thinking about what's gonna happen. Right from the start I was laughing, the first time Livi and Snots meet Lars and Terry had me laughing so hard I was crying and I couldn't catch my breath. OMG I LOVED IT! I can honestly say I almost peed my pants on several occasions. I adore Livi's character. She's a strong beautiful independent woman who is perfect for Cash and definitely fits right in with the Devil's Angels family and her partner James is right there by her side, he's a hoot. Between James, Terry and the Aunt's I was losing it! ROFLMAO! There's so much excitement and of course Axel is still up to his tricks and when and he gets the surprise that shows up at the gym, I can't even tell you how hilarious that was. There are just so many hilarious moments it's never a dull moment. But it's not all fun and games for the club, there were times that had me in tears. My heart was breaking for poor little Lucas. There's quite a few surprises that had me saying WTF?!! Lottie and Lola were show stealers, a perfect addition to the family. Little Craig has grown and his character and the twins and little Alex are total cuteness overload. I just don't know what to say, there's just so much to say but I don't want to give anything away. Lol! Does that even make sense? Lol! This book is the perfect addition to the series. AND OH WOW! Cash and Livi heat up the sheets. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO EVERYONE! And can I just say this book cover is spot on, it says it all.

Silly plots, hated Cash, Livi is a sap, and it’s boring!!

Okay this series has seriously got worse!!! There is nothing redeeming about this one!! Silly plots, Cash is an arse, who treats Livi like she’s only temporary in his life! Cash has a dad in a wheelchair and a carer who looks after him him and two great aunties who are in love with Trigger. Yet none of these people have ever been mentioned before, yet they go to dinner at the club regularly!!!

Cash is the clubs enforcer, who looks like a Viking. Apparently. When he asks Livi out for a date, an ex girlfriend leaves his baby with him to live, and he forgets about the date. They eventually start dating and everything is wonderful but…. Cash absolutely refuses to let Livi on his bike as he will only let ‘the one’ on it. Livi let’s him get away with his rubbish, until she snaps. Finally. I didn’t like Cash. As he’s always looking for reasons to finish with her. Livi acts like a doormat. I would have been out of there a long time ago.

Livi is supposed to be this strong female cop. But she lets Cash walk all over her. There’s a silly plot with Axels attacker from the toy shop, being sent to him for anger management. No no no no no!! Wouldn’t happen. They wouldn’t send an attacker to the victim for training. Just no!!! 😡😡

The parrot is still not realistic. And the only funny character in the whole book is Axel and he’s hardly in it. Boooooooorimg!!!

okay.

This was just okay for me. The characters were a little meh and even thought the story, on paper, had all the things I like- a surprise/secret baby, an emotional back story, an involved, ensemble cast, but something was missing. I didn’t find that Cash and Livi’s story was done that much justice beyond Cash figuring out a way to love Livi enough to give them a shot, which in itself was problematic to me. I feel like the opportunity for drama inherent in their positions in society was lost and never really came up when i think it could have been a source of tension because one was an at times morally ambiguous MC member, and the other being a police officer. The action moments also felt really contrived to me with the random inclusion of Lucas and the vandal. It didn’t feel as well structured to me as the previous book. Meanwhile, I’m eagerly anticipating Chub’s book with all the build up that’s gone on the past few books.

2 1/2 stars. Fast, easy read. Writing style was what I expect from this author, so it didn’t bother me. I enjoy series that encompass characters from past books, but this one had so much of that, very little was left for the main couple. They saw each other, then it was a good 30% before we get any real interaction. After that, they were just together—no real build up, and then the book was almost completely about everyone else. I felt like I read more about Axel than the MC. There was a little bit of tension toward the end with the H and h, but I just wish we had more of their story.

Such a great series.

Cash's book didn't disapoint . The hilarious theatrics from Axel, Mac and the crew had me in stitches. Craig bless him is a sweetheart and I love the way he is so protective over the younger kids . Cash and Livi are made for each other. And when cash's world is tipped upside down Livi is by his side regardless of the circumstances. I'm so looking forward to Chubs book it's going to be epic .

Disappointed but not surprised

Book had funny parts for sure. No grit really to the book. First book in the series was best. Too many babies - this book really wasn’t’ much of an MC book at all. As it happens with so many series the first book is always the best and goes down from there. I’ll read chubs book since it looks like it’s next but we’ll see. Glad this was free on kindle unlimited. I’d not have wanted to purchase this one.

I’m not gonna lie. This isn’t my favorite book of the series. Only because Cash and Livi’s relationship is just a teensy bit less satisfying than the others, and the ending is the same.

Still.
I love this cast of characters.
The ones we meet in previous books, and the new ones introduced in this one.

James, Terry, Lars, ‘The Aunts’, Lucas, and even Snots.

I just feel really attached to all of these characters.
I can’t get enough of them.

I know I am going to be in the minority when I say Cash isn't my favorite biker in the Devil's Angel. This is especially true after he screwed things up with Livi and almost lost her. I didn't feel like he wanted her bad enough. That being said I love this series. The animals, the kids, the aunties! Axel! Need I say more? It cracks me up and warms my heart. I can't stop smiling so hard that my cheeks hurt when I read this series. I wish Livi and Cash's relationship had been more intense but there was plenty more in this series to love. Mac was his hilarious self and Gee is just so porkin' cute!

I really enjoyed this book. It's between a biker and a cop. Cash and Livi. Livi has the best of friends...her partner on the police department and best friend outside the police department.

To me that tells the club is either all legal or they can hide it really well.

This is a lot about the relationship these two have going on and the little bit of a different of an option.
I have one more book of the series to go before competing the series.

Another excellent book in the Devil’s Angel MC series. We follow Cash and the struggles he faces with new fatherhood, we also follow Livi, who is a police officer. They meet and have their ups and downs. We also see characters from the other books, and have some sweet experiences with them through this book. The ending is kind of on a cliffhanger, and there are a lot of moments that keep you reading. There are also sweet moments that make you feel like you want to hug the characters. All in all, I highly recommend this book. Can do it as a standalone, but to know some of the characters I recommend reading the other books as well.

Good, funny read

This book was full of laughs and good times. For an MC, it was a bit light on action, as in none. 😯 But it was heavy on the family and loyalty aspect. 🤗

I really feel bad to rate this book with just 3*. But somehow, for me, it isn't as good as the previous books. It took me 3 days to finish it, it didn't took this long to reread the first four.
It started out like the others. A lot of fun and Cash and Livi. But for me, there was a little bit to much going on and to less of just the couple.
And Cash's reason for the break and Livi's reaction to it, her forgiving so easily? Come on, even Axel has to do some grovelling and he didn't mess up this bad.
I can't wait for the next one.
