Jennifer Malone Wright is best known for her best selling novella series, The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter. Other works include the follow up to The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter series called The Arcadia Falls Chronicles, The Graveyard Guardians series and her full length vampire novel called Savior (A Higher Collective Novel).

She resides in the beautiful mountains of northern Idaho with her husband and five children where she practices preparing for the zombie apocalypse. Just kidding!

But seriously, between the craziness of taking care of her children, Jennifer has little time left for herself. The time she does have left, usually leading far into the night, is spent working on her beloved fiction or chatting with her equally crazy friends.

Cloe and all the vampire warriors are back. She wants to strike first against the vampires, and finally convinces Drew, Luke, and the others to join her, It is the match that burns to hot, for now vampires are turning out fledgling blood thirsty vampires, as never before. This series is . really good. This is part two and Cloe has gone from a frightened confused fourteen year old to a full hunter, with vampire skills since she is half blood. It has all the adventure, excitement, and fear one needs to keep the pages turning. The supernatural is also a big part of this series, since hunters also develops special skills. The angel warrior also make several appearances, to guide the warriors. I will not spoil it for anyone, but sometimes people we think we should be able to trust, are misguided and evil. Others who should be evil, have humanity left. Lots of fighting, guns, swords, super ability, and mind control, plus a witch to provide protection. It is all there for urban fantasy lovers. I recommend reading the first six books first..The Vampires Daughter . It comes in a special 1-6 addition,at a good price, then move on to this one., all so sold 1-6. I am sure I will get book seven, since I am anxious to know what happens next. You will like the characters, and the author gives us a look into each of them. They all are special, but I am still drawn to Cloe, who the original stories brought front, and center. A very good read, with good depth, characters, and plot. The couple's have paired off now, but it is glanced over, except for the kissing...nothing graphic....

It's the Vampire apocalypse, there are baby vamps popping up all over and the hunters really have their work cut out trying to keep them under control.
I enjoyed this series more than Vampire Hunter's Daughter as the characters are now more developed. I really liked the change of perspective with Drew and Zander narrating the last 2 books and I was happy to see there are even more books in the series.
Most of the narration was good but the men sounded fairly dodgy narrated by the female narrator.

Good Vampire Hunter Story

I like the story because it is fast paced with action, some romance thrown in and the characters seem realistic. I am glad this was sold with all six books together or I would not have purchased them because each book is only like 80 to 90 pages which does not give enough detail. At least reading this together seemed like a more complete story.

I cannot get enough of this series. It is highly addictive and enthralling. Just when I think the author has written every possible twist and turn imaginable, she blows me away with a new shocking twist!

I have been enthralled with all things Jennifer Malone Wright all year. This author needs to be on your bookshelf.

I read the series but it was just okay and seemed very "high school" at times. Chloe was a teenager and although she acted that way it frustrated me how undecided she was especially when it came to Drew and Gavin. She needed to suck it up and make a decision rather than try and have them both. The boys were both immature idiots who at one time were fighting over Chloe while she was trying to not get killed by a vampire. The warrior angel idea was interesting but it lacked the follow through and build up to make this story captivating. Lots of teenage angst but not enough action scenes for me to give it three stars.

I received an audible copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this story. I liked that you get to learn about so much more of the vampire history and background which made it very interesting. I had thought that this book was the conclusion to The Vampire Hunter's Daughter, so I was so shocked when it abruptly ended with a huge cliffhanger! I'm anxious to read the next in the series.

From the audiobook point of view, I really had such a hard time with the narrators which was completely not their faults at all! I was so used to the original narrator from The Vampire Hunter's Daughter that I was kicking and screaming like a child saying, "That's not how they sound!" Lol. Plus I had a problem with the female narrator's voice of Xander. He sounded to me like a dumb surfer dude or something, lol but other than me nitpicking and not being able to let go of the original narrator's voices, it was very well done!

I was excited to read this series because I loved the others written by Jennifer Malone Wright but I was truly disappointed in the number of grammatical errors, typos and storyline hiccups in the book. I almost feel like no one proof read this book for her and she needs to speak with her publisher. **Spoiler Alert** In book 5 when Drew was put in his cell in the Pentagon it clearly states his handcuffs were removed right before he fell to his knees...then when he breaks free of the cell he is magically back in handcuffs again?! **End Spoiler Alert**. This is just one example of the storyline errors. The series is good and this would have been a 4.5 to 5 star rating if not for all the issues noted in this review. I hope that someone on Jennifer’s team goes through the book and helps to correct these silly issues so future readers will get a story with a wonderful plot encompassing fun twist and turns without all the noise of typos and errors.

Let me start by saying that I listened to this series on audible books and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it at the end of the sixth book.
Of course there has to be more coming with the final reveal at the end but it had me thinking so it did it's job.

At the end of the first book I was iffy to continue. I felt it was more fit for teen reading and honestly the character of Chloe was grating on my nerves. But as I continued to listen I enjoyed the over all story. I still feel it more young adult reading but neverless can be a nice mellow read for adults who enjoy the paranormal world, which I guiltily admit is me.
The author has built a world of vampires and hunters, young love and even angst. She even gives of views of a world changed by reveal. Human behaviors along with the outcome within the our ruling stucture. I know it sounds like a lot but it does give the story depth and will having you come back for more having to know what next.

I honestly cannot remember the last time I read something as horribly written, proofed & edited as this mess. Letters and words in completely wrong places; or just plain not there. Grammar, spelling and syntax are thrown completely to the wind and there appear to be a minimum of two glaring mistakes on every page. It's almost like it was thrown together by a twelve-year-old kid who is more used to having their head stuck in an iPod or something. The only reason for the second star is that, using a bit of my own understanding of the English Language, I WAS able to piece together the story lines. Not a rousing endorsement in any way, shape or form. I will be thinking very hard if there is ever a continuation of this series released.

BTW: the edition I read was a Kobo eBook - not listed but, well, I've made my detestation for Amazon & Kindle very well known. Fix it!

Definitely can tell this is a teen oriented book with the immaturity of the characters and their actions, the author did a great job portraying teen drama. The over all story though was entertaining and fun to read. I would like to continue to reading the series, but the cost of the books even the Kindle ones are a little cost prohibitive. $3.00 for a 96page book is a little much. $.99 is more realistic for a kindle version. I know the omnibus for the first 6 were free, which is always great, but I would have rather paid a little for the Omnibus and $.99 for the additional books than pay $3.00 for every additional title. I actually used an Audible Credit and bought the omnibus, so it's not like I'm unwilling to pay.

Overall fun story and I really liked it, just not sure I'll ever finish it now.

I received these books for free through Voracious Readers Only in return for an honest review.

These books tell a story of vampire hunters vs vampires. There is a team of Vampire Hunters and the story is told in an interesting way-a different vampire hunter narrates each book. I found book one quite tedious, but on reflection I believe that it was important to get a good grasp of the characters and their relationships. The story picked up on book two and I started really enjoying the story. I like a romance story, but this story was more kick butt than romance based, although there was a romantic story throughout.

The story is suited to a young/mid-teen reader and the characters seem to be high school age.

Paranormal Thriller

This is more than a paranormal thriller. Full of action and characters with depth. The battle between the hunters and the vampires is about to erupt into a full blown apocalyptic war. Can a band of young hunters stop the devastation before the entire world order is changed? A gripping tale told by various key characters. Page turning action, heart stopping twists and turns.

Gripping Story Line

Continues to be exciting, with great characters who lay their lives on the line over and over again. Fighting demons to save the world and humanity. New twists and turns with each new experience. Many surprises that are mind shaking. These are not your typical monster stories.

I stopped after the second of the six stories. My problem was the lead characters - Chloe and Drew. He spent his time ordering her not to have anything to do with her ex-boyfriend but then he erupted when his ex-girlfriend was with a new guy (and Chloe was not allowed to object to his behaviour). Much too controlling.

A great follow,on from The Vampire Hunter's Daughter. I've bought #7 and look forward to continuing with the series. Proof reading / editing errors are a little annoying, but not bad enough to make me put the books down. Definitely worth reading from the beginning.

Spelling and grammar

I enjoyed the story line very much. There were many errors in spelling and grammar, and unneeded words inserted throughout. These kinds of things stop me cold, interrupting the flow of the story. I wish there were something that could be done to prevent this.

I mostly enjoyed these books - it built the characters well did find Chloe’s character ´´brattish’´ at times -even towards the end of the last book- which I would have liked her to be a bit more ´´grown-up’´(maybe because I am an older reader) but as I stated previously enjoyed nonetheless.

Very good book

I found this book very gripping as didn't want to or couldn't put it down for long. The only thing wrong with it is you had to read entire books to keep in line of what was going on.Will definitely be searching for book seven and eight now.

Good story, but...

A good story can become less so when there are SO many obvious errors. Seriously needs a copy editor to correct grammar, punctuation, etc.

written for a younger crowd than me so the 2 star rating is not really accurate for the right audience.

Action

While there is a lot of action and a few surprises, the books move slow. I could have used a lot less wordiness
