“The books that the world calls immoral are books that show the world its own shame.” ― Oscar Wilde
If you're into the fluffier side of life, you have my blessing but will you please take the next exit. For the rest of you depraved pervs, enjoy your stay ;)
If you know anything of Kol Anderson's work, you know he makes you work with each one of his stories. But the emotional payoff is usually worth the work you put in. In this deliciously twisted new book from the master of unexpected and twisty plot twists, you invest quickly in the main character and the anticipation starts to build quickly.
While you want to root for Baron, you also want what Kol wants to happen to him. It's a delicious ride that leads to an unexpected twist - don't want to give away too much. But if you're into Kol's other work, this one won't disappoint. Grab some tissues, and oil.
That was a long time since I read something by this author, it’s all written in a style I remember. Fast, vicious, unpredictable, and thrilling. It’s a super short sci-fi where a man got abduct by creatures, cuffed and bound. Imagine what could happen when an enormous creature wants to use him. It’s a bit funny how a tiny tiny bit of romance gets a simple human reader hopeful. Remember it’s a Kol's story, everything could happen.
First, I want to say welcome back Kol!! I've missed you 🥰🥰🥰, and am very happy you're feeling a little more like your old self. Thank you for this most unexpected little read, your first story for a few years 😘😘. .
As for the story, well yes, it needed editing BUT this is a first from Kol . Strangely, it reminded me of Changed: Mated to the Alien Alpha which I really enjoyed, but the words in this one were Kol's, and Kol's alone...so expect some plot twists, and PLEASE have a little sympathy for Baron.
Abduction is a short sci-fi story that’s more erotic horror than it is romance. This story takes a few unexpected twists, and I wish the story was a bit longer in order to really explore the fascinating world building and plot points. The beginning of the story was my favorite part, but it lost a little steam in the middle and the ending was just okay. Once again, I think that could be easily fixed if the story was expanded into novella or novel length. I will say, this story whetted my appetite for more of Kol Anderson’s work.
This is my first book by this author and though it is a super quick read it is worth it. I applaud this author for it being so short you get fully invested into the characters in the book.
Baron is upducted by X and an interesting relationship forms. Though we don't hear from X much you still want to understand why he does certain things. Overall great abduction read.
