Dane by Linny Lawless is a mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Rodney Falcon. This is the third book in the Capitol Corruption series.

This is the third series of Linny's that I have read and it won't be my last. The book is a fast paced short story where Dane and Aurora are reconnecting after 5 years after their one night stand.

I liked the story. However, I felt like it was a bit rushed and I would have loved to see it extended a bit more. I just didn't fall for this couple like I did with the previous two couples.

Rodney did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of his work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like mafia romances or second chance romances.

Wow

Dane is fierce. I love the harshness in him and the power he holds. Aurora is a strong and fierce woman. She's willing to do whatever it takes to take care of what's hers. Only now she belongs to Dane. Is she happy about it? Not at first, but powerful men have a way of getting what they want. Whether Aurora wants to admit it or not, she wants him just as much. Good read.

Dane and Aurora’s story left me wanting so much more.....

This is an intense short story. Has sex, drama, and of course all mob related problems. I definitely can’t wait for the next book to see if they can stay together and what happens with the crime family.

Loved the narration of Rodney Falcon

This book if intense, steamy, danger and suspenseful. Dane and Aurora knew each other years ago and neither one could forget the other. Many years pass . Aurora has a secret that Dane doesn't know, but what will happen when he finds out.

Loved getting to know Rory and Dane as well as their HEA. It was such a short and sweet love story with some violence but never between main characters. Such a great story.

Short story carrying on from what happened with Aurora and Dane after Jimmy Caruso was taken care of for kidnapping Dane's sister Gina.

She had met Dane 5 years earlier and now she is afraid that he may find out about her secret, as for Dane, he couldn't get Aurora out of his mind and now he is taking over all of the Caruso stocks he has the chance of taking all she has. Now things don't always work out how it seems.
