Stan and Jan Berenstain (often called The Berenstains) were American writers and illustrators best known for creating the children's book series the Berenstain Bears. Their son Mike Berenstain joined them as a creative team in the late 1980s.
This book is great for children who have trouble with opposites. It is also great for children to see what is wrong with the picture. There is a big bear and a small bear. They get hats, bathing suits, spaghetti, and go on a boat ride. There is always a small size and a big size. The big bear always gets the small sizes and the small bear always gets the big sizes. They realize that they have the wrong size so they switch.
This book reminds me of Dr. Seuss' books and it's a lot like it. This book teaches us about Big and Small, and it teaches us with a trip out with brother and papa. It's a fun book and I think it's dope. We also learn about other Opposites like heavy, and light and tight, and loose
This book was the most amazing read. It was extremely deep and detailed. THEY JUST COULDNT GET IT RIGHT!!! I love this book and will recommend to all my other 20 yr old friends.. Thank you!
First they went to get a hat and the little bear took the big hat and the big bear took the small hat. The small bear put on the big hat and the big bear put on the small hat and they said "too small" is what the big bear said and the little bear said "too big" and it was covering his eyes and his nose. All that was showing on his face was his mouth and you could still see some hair from the top of the big bear's head 'cause the hat was too small. They switched and they both said "just right."
This is the first book Miles has read to me without completely memorizing. It has a simple bank of a couple of dozen basic words and a nice repetitive pattern to the story, great to keep him reading and not getting discouraged. there are several titles in this series I think we'll pick up at the library.
This is the first English book that Mitch can "read" from start to finish! It is PERFECT for where he is right now in English, and reading it puts him in a virtuous circle of success with reading! Maybe I should put it on my "currently reading" shelf as I have a feeling we are going to be re-reading this one a lot!
Using simple opposite words, this book is a very fun and funny easy read. My son and I both laughed out loud when reading it. Some of the words aren't really sight words, but the drawings made it easy for him to figure out the words he didn't know.
Awesome book for the very beginning of beginningest readers. 2-3 words per page. Involves opposites and comparisons such as "big" versus "small", "too heavy" or "too light".
