Useful for someone who’s completely new to the world of consulting, but otherwise very generic and presents a very idealistic approach to consulting

This book is an amazing guide for frameworks that one can employ in situations ranging from creating proposals for new business opportunities and solving organizational challenges to client engagement. The author has done a wonderful job in weaving the basics in an interesting and engaging manner that will keep you gripped from the beginning till the very end in spite of it being a non-fiction/self-help book. Though, there is the element of fiction, as the author has used the character of Samantha as the protagonist to show the various stages, challenges and joys of a consulting career. Each and every concept is explained in such a manner that it is very easy to understand them. If you're planning to make your career in consultancy or are in business and often need consultancy regarding different matters, I'd suggest you read this book.

This book provides the clear concept about management consulting. We all get stuck somewhere and feel stressed out.
There's a lot of insights shared by the author.
The narration part is beautifully done. This book portrays the life of people who are involved in management consulting. The story revolves around the Samanta Thomas, who's stuck in her lifestyle and depends on different consultants.
People's perspective is the most important thing which we encounter in this field. No everyone feel same about something, they have their own aspects to consider.

Good book to grab to enhance your experience with mind consultant!!

Well written book on management consulting. A career journey of Samantha. It is a good read for the one who aspire to become a consultant and dont know much about consulting. The book explains about day to day challenges, and framework used to tackle the challenges, role of the mentors, networking and some advises. What it does not cover: Deep dive into consultant journey with one of the client, details on pushback from the client, tactics and way of thinking, or something really shows their smartness.

This book reminds me so much of Goal by Eliyahu Goldratt. As an Analytics consultant I could relate to most part of the story. I purchased an audible version of the book too and the whole book itself is a summary or bullet points highlighted on the approach to be in taken by a consultant at various stages. Author has kept the story short and relevant to management consulting. Enjoyable read and definitely helps !!!

Would have been better if titled as 'The mind of A management consultant'

Since I'm not from that background, could not relate to much of content.
Not providing a rating since I'm not from the target audience

Good for college students or new consultants. The story format made it engaging, but far longer than it needed to be. A couple good insights I was able to pull.
