I’ve been deemed a prodigy; I’m relatively young compared to others in my field but possess prior experience working with pro baseball teams. I’ve always had a passion for baseball so I got started early; what can I say?
It’s the first day at my dream job and here I am, swooning over the very man that could jeopardize this position for me. Elliot Callos—the all-star pitcher for the Boston Bombers and my very idol since I was just a little girl, has been my biggest distraction of all time.
And yet, here I am, working by his side as the Bombers’ new Athletic Trainer. I still need to pinch myself at times to believe this is all real and not just some common far-fetched dream of mine. But when I catch Elliot’s eyes grazing my body over on day one, I’m quick to realize my reality.
I’m to the point now where I’m craving his bright blue eyes on me and only me. When Elliot calls me his little one, I feel a light go off inside me as his words feel so right.
I never imagined Elliot would bring me to challenge my dream and cause my thoughts to vanish when he’s around. He’s a distraction, but a sweet one at that. I look into the eyes of my idol and see him as far more now...I want far more now. So, here I am, throwing my career on the line as a prodigy...for Daddy.
❥ If you enjoy steamy short reads with a touch of ddlg, then you’ll love my Please Me, Daddy series. Each book is a standalone romance, so feel free to read in any order you please. No cliffhangers and no cheating. Just a HEA, every steamy time.
I read this thruKU and I will read more from this author, but this book was weird imo... I seriously think the H might be bi polar... he was all over the place and he really acted like he was 19. I did like the h, though. He would talk about how much he needed her in his life and she was going to find out how much she needed him too, and then bam 2 tiny paragraphs later he does a 180. It was like this, honestly, in every chapter that was his until the end. It really felt like it was 2 authors writing him and neither reading what the other wrote on him🤷🏻♀️ It had a couple of somewhat sexy scenes but just ok to me. This book can be read in one sitting. It is a quick read.
I still have a lot of respect for anyone that is an author and I did finish this book and will try out some more from this author.
Evie and Elliott's story out of all the stories in the series that I have read so far seems to be the most realistic. The way they both have so much in common and how they are two people, for the most part, alone in their lives. For Elliott, it was lust at first sight. He has always been into younger women, not as young as Evie, but younger.
Although, when he finds out she is the new athletic trainer on a trial basis he is not sure that's a good thing. She may have had a bigger effect on him than he allowed even to himself. When they meet changes his mind.
Evie is beyond excited to get her chance at being a part of the team, she grew up worshipping. She knew her being exceptionally young for her amount of knowledge. But she would not make excuses for graduating high school at fourteen and college at eighteen.
When she is told by the owner she gets a three-week trial to prove she can handle the job as well as the man-children she will be working with. Her first customer on her first day is none other than the man she has been jonesing after since she figured out the opposite sex.
Elliott walks in and Evie tries not to melt at first sight. They work out his issues with his pitching arm and while she is working on it they chat. Come to find out they have a lot in common. He offers to take her to a place that she would enjoy one of the outdoor experiences.
But a few days later when she brings up she will be going on the away game with them and that maybe they can go then. He's abrupt and curt with her after being teased by a teammate about her. So, he says no. He can not be seen with her.
This is the beginning of a slippery slope for the two of them and what may be the beginning of a good long relationship. See how they maneuver the ups and downs of what is to come in shortly. Enjoyed this a lot.
Evie and Elliott. She's a 19 year old AT for her favorite sports team and He is one of the players nearly ready to retire. There are sparks between them that can only go one way. He finds out that she loves a lot of the outdoor stuff that he does so they get to spend a weekend away in the mountains, kayaking, and just relaxing. It results in her losing her virginity to him and she's happy in the direction things are going. She calls him Daddy in the heat of the moment and he is thrilled. But Elliott doesn't want to stifle her and pulls away once they get back to the real world, telling her she needs to be with someone closer to her age. She is devastated and takes up a job offer with another team. How is Elliott going to cope and especially when his boss tell him to get her back - no matter what. The story was great. Elliott was a bit over the place, but I suppose he was feeling a little guilty about the age gap, but when true loves comes knocking age is just a number. Recommend
This is an age gap story set in the world of baseball with an older pitcher and a young athletic trainer. The author takes you from the couples first meeting, exploring the attraction, denial and frustration, some jealousy, and even more emotions during their journey.
One of the reasons I enjoyed this book more than some of the others in the series is the fact that this book takes place in the workplace. It’s not the typical daddy book where it’s stepfather and stepdaughter, giving it a fresh feel.
This is book ten of the “Please Me, Daddy” series and is a complete standalone and I recommend reading the other books if you haven’t already.
Its not a very original bookgenre/idea. But it's a nice short read with less than 60 pages so an ideal read just before bed. It's about a young girl landing her dreamjob and seeing/meeting the much older guy she has had a crush on for years. They bond over an mutual hobby and needless to say they get together. Just like every book they find some rough patches but it ends with a happy ending. And not a very heavy daddy/little kink. She just calls him daddy and he calls her little one.

Another really good short read! Evie has landed a job working for her favorite baseball team! She is a trainer, but only 19 years old. She graduated high school early and finished her trainer studies at the top of her class. She needs to earn the respect of the team. Elliott is taking a liking to her, but she is so young. This is their story. They are right for each other. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This is the first one by this author I have read, and it wasn't bad. It is a D/LG book and the story line is pretty good. Evie is a young prodigy, who wants to work for her favorite baseball team. Elliot is the star pitcher, who falls for her at first site. There is some good back and forth between these two.
Evelyn and Elliot, sparks fly and can only be contained so long. When Elliot keeps pushing her away will she welcome him back? Her dreams job and her dreams man, can she have both when the man is stubborn?
Evie was the kind of girl who had been dedicated to achieving every goal she ever set for herself and now she was finally about to score the biggest one of them all. Okay so she had three months to prove herself and and Evie was more then up for a challenge like this because in the end she was going to show them that she was exactly what they needed to be a successfully winning team. However its not easy when most people take one look at you and try to dismiss you for simply being young. Yes I'm more then a little excited today after all this my first day and I'm not about to waste a single second. Okay so I could have been a little more pleasant then I had been and maybe I shouldn't have been so snappish at the Evie; still I can fix that. However during their private adventure Elliot was thrilled to realize she was as hot for him as he was for her and he wasn't to lose anymore time sampling her perfect treasures. It's funny how quickly I started using that one word. And that's Daddy. Especially when it came to a man like Elliot but honestly I couldn't see myself calling him anything else. Yet for some reason I'm the one who decided to change things between us and I know I'm not pulling my weight and I think people are starting to see it. And now that some little birdie chripped out a hush-hush secret that I'm starting to realize just how wrong I'd been.

I read an ARC via the author and I'm voluntarily choosing to review it.
Evie is a big baseball fan and becomes a trainer to the team she has idolized since she was young. Elliot is one of the team members and is a bit older than Evie. They both hit it off but one of them is scared so they call it quits. The book was a quick short read with a nice HEA at the end.
