Loving My Wife and Her Sister Too
Sometimes in life, you can’t help who you fall in love with. It can be a beautiful experience or a horrifying nightmare depends on who's involved. Love will definitely take you on a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, but when you choose to willingly cross unforgivable boundaries like Gavin, the possibilities of a happy ending are slim to none.
Ten years into their marriage, Analise and Gavin travel from Houston back to their hometown of Portland, Oregon for the reading of her estranged father’s will. This is where their paths cross with Zakiya, a long-lost sister that Analise never knew she had and wishes she still didn’t know about. The two instantly take a disliking to one another and things do not improve one bit.

I read this for the podcast and it was the worst reading experience I've had all year. I'm not going to do a real quality review because, honestly, this book isn't worth it. My issues can be summed up in three points:
1. The writing is godawful. It's maybe the worst I've ever read. It's all telling, no showing. This book is the equivalent of overhearing someone's conversation as they gossip about their dysfunctional family. You don't know any of the people, you have no connection to the story and there's no guarantee it'll be told in any sort of logical sense. And, after a while, you kind of just wish they'd shut the hell up.
2. The characters are dumber than used cat litter and just as trifling. I hate stupid characters; they're frustrating and unrealistic. In this book, everyone's stupidity forces a lot of illogical plot contrivances that wouldn't make any sense in a well-written story. For example, Analise, the wife, inherits a large estate from her dad that she doesn't visit or check out until the plot needs her to conveniently pop up on her cheating husband and his side piece. (I'm not even going to label this as a spoiler because it's SO obvious that's where the story is going.) Analise is an idiot, her friends are idiots, her husband is a flakey idiot and her sister, Zakiya, is so stupid that I'm not sure how she made it to adulthood. You have no one to root for.
3. Finally, this book is boring as hell. This is probably its biggest sin. After slogging through the bad writing and dealing with the annoying characters, you'd think I could at least be entertained by the hijinks. Nope. It's just a "Maury" episode. It took me a week to read because I kept putting it down due to it being so repetitive. I can only read about two horrible people and their dissolving marriage for so long before I get sick of it. Where's the drama? Where's the messiness? Where's the PLOT?
In conclusion, this book treated me as if I was as stupid as the characters its about and I resent that. Zero stars. Thank God I didn't spend money on this.

It was good tho .. not sure if I’ll finish the series but it was just drama drama drama !
The person that saved this book, TBH, was Zakiya—sis has ALL the drama and came with it ready for Analise. Gavin is just a trifling ass man and I hope the baby daddy shoots his ass for being a fool.

The drama, the secrets, the audacity, the sneakiness, the triflingness, the scandalous, the ultimate betrayal of it all. I don’t care how off things were in their marriage Gavin was wrong on sooooo many levels. And Zakiya that bitch is dirty!!! I hope Analisa gets their asses back a million time over. And now Zakiya is pregnant smh Gavin needs his ass whipped!!! I hope Analisa and Karma got some good ass plans for them both because this was so damn unacceptable. Let’s get into part two because shit I know it’s about to be on and popping.

Oh wow! This right here was so wrong. How the hell Galvin going to sleep with his wife’s sister. This is wrong on so many levels and wait till analise find out there is a baby in the midst of all this drama. Micaela is a dumb broad, how you let Tommy know where you lay your head with your family. I don’t think that relationship will end go. So ready for part 2, let’s go. Awesome job!

Is it love, though?
I liked the story but I felt like the way Gavin got with Zakiya was weak. There was nothing compelling about how they got together and he totally dismissed what she did to his wife. Now that she knows what's up, I'm interested to see how this plays out.
The subplot with Michaela and Tommy almost has me more intrigued though.
This book could use another edit, but I'd still recommend it for the drama this collab brings.

Gavin so dang refilling how can you cheat on your wife with her long lost sister dork her dad aide just trifling then to make matters worst she pregnant and he moved her into his wife house that was left for her yep he a dog he deserves everything that will come his way Annailese need to beat both of their trifling butt this book I couldn’t put it down once again my fav Author never disappoint me

BUSTED
This book had my attention from beginning to end. I refuse to stop reading until I finished. These authors definitely know how to give the readers some drama filled stories. Gavin is a fool to get caught up in Zakiya with her scheming and trifling behind. And things have just got real now that Analise has gotten the shock of her life. Can't wait to read what's to come for these characters in part 2

Choose this rating because this book was to hot to put down. Excellent read, some crazy mess going on. Gavin was one sick man to get in some mess with sisters. We all knew something was gonna jump off. These are some crazy characters in this story and I enjoyed reading about there sick crazy life. Can t wait to see what's gonna happen next. Crazy but so far I'm enjoying this ride.

Whew I can feel Analise pain Gavin definitely grimy as hell and I hope his Karma is extreme dealing with that trifling trick Zakiya! Oh and let’s not forget about Micaela she is a whole mess as well with the grimy things she has going on in her marriage!! I can’t wait to see what happens in Part 2!!!

It’s some entanglements going on in this book. Gavin can’t get out of this one no matter how hard he tries. He done stooped so low until he’s stuck on the ground. Zakiya is just wicked so I don’t expect nothing from her.

Great read!!!
It started off a little slow and seemed like the set up was a little off with the characters and that whole "sister" relationship really shaky, but the drama and the storyline is great towards the end. Can't wait to finish the story.

More than interesting
Drama unfolding beginning with the first sentence definitely is an attention-getter. The ways in which it continues unfolding will keep readers fully engaged and definitely not be tempted to put down the book, that is for sure.
