I joke, “You should stop treating me this well. Otherwise, I might never leave.”

My words cause him to stiffen. Wait, does he think I’m being serious? Oh Lord, the idea of me mooching off him indefinitely must be freaking him out. I say quickly, “I’m joking. Once I find a job, I’ll be out of your hair.”

He passes a jug of maple syrup to me. “You can take your time with the job search. There’s no rush.”

I bet he’s just saying that to be polite. I drench my pancakes in maple syrup, prompting him to ask, “Do you have dental insurance?”

“Um, no…”

“You shouldn’t have so much sugar. Cavity fillings are expensive.”

I want to roll my eyes. “I’ll floss and brush my teeth thoroughly later.”

Under his slightly judgmental gaze, I devour the breakfast like it’s my last. Regret fills me when my plate and glass are empty. This might be the last decent meal I have for a while; I should’ve savored it.

“Hey, you got syrup on your lip,” he says.

“Oh, thanks.” Before I can reach for a napkin, he rubs his fingers over my mouth. My heart skips a beat. He’s so close to me now. I can feel his warmth and catch his scent. He smells like soap and lemons.

I expect him to step back now that he’s wiped the syrup off my lip, but his fingers remain on the edge of my mouth. He stares at me like I’m a half-finished puzzle he’s been studying for hours.

“Olivia.” His voice is soft.

I wait for him to say something else, but he just continues staring at me, his fingers still on my face.

I hail from Cleveland, aka the best freaking city in the world, and believe LeBron James is the perfect human being. Despite all of my efforts, I have never truly been able to quit caffeine. My favorites include Taylor Swift, Florence + the Machine, and SHINee. I love to hate/hate to love k-dramas. If I say I’m on a diet, I’m just lying to you and myself. One of these days, I'm going to get hypertension from an excess of salt, both literal and figurative. If I'm awkward around you, I probably don't know what to say to you and/or I think you're hot. And despite what anyone says, Forrest Gump so deserved that Oscar over Pulp Fiction.

Insta-love short with a touch her a die/knight in shining armor MMC and FMC who’s a bit of a damsel in distress. A little steam, a bit of tension and a reader (me) who wished it was longer! I enjoyed it! I can easily see it being developed into a complete standalone book. The foundation is great to build on and I would definitely read Olivia & Graham’s story. For now my imagination has definitely been fed! Yum

Olivia is homeless and an orphan. Her brother was taking care of her until he hooked up with a psycho girlfriend who got him addicted to drugs. The minute her brother threw a lamp at her, she left. Now she is struggling to find food and a safe, warm place to sleep. She is amazingly lucky to find a student ID of a girl who looks similiar to herself. She goes to the fancy gym of the ritzy college planning to use the ID to sneak in and hopefully find a place to hide and sleep for the night. She is shocked to see that there is a table of free healthy snacks there and she decides to put some away in her backpack for later. Unluckily she is spotted by a hot sexy guy who knows she is not the person on the ID. Olivia tells him her sad story to help convince him not to tell the cops. To her surprise, Graham offers her a place to stay for awhile. Olivia accepts both because she is desperate and because she is attracted to him.

Graham was born to two drug addicted parents but he was lucky to be adopted by two rich and loving parents. The ID Olivia had belonged to his adopted sister. Graham is so attracted to Olivia that he is willing to do anything for her. He offers her shelter, food and clothes but Olivia keeps fighting about taking his charity. She wants to make it on her own but Graham finally convinces her to stay awhile to give herself a chance to get back on her feet again. If he has his way, she will never leave.

Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, and shenanigans the good kind that makes you keep turning the pages till last page has been turned. Olivia was living with her brother but due her brother’s girlfriend who introduced and got him addicted to drugs. It seemed the drugs woke up a violent streak in him and when he throws the lamp at her she leaves with no place to go. She finds a school ID with the hopes of finding a place to sleep heading to the campus gym find a table full of free snacks of course she takes a few for later but she is noticed by sexy Graham who knows the id do not belong to her because it belongs to his sister, so he confronts her about the lie. Once explained Graham offers her a place to stay until she gets back on her feet because he knows what it is like to be homeless due to a love one being addicted to drugs. Olivia wants to stand on her own two feet but the pull between these two is so intense will it last with her feeling like she is a burden on Graham, and will Graham tell her how he is feeling that he wants her to stay can they find a HEA?

Olivia's life took a turn she never expected. When her parents died, it was just her and her brother until he got mixed up with the wrong woman. Now alone and desperate she just hopes to find a place to take a nap, when she runs into Graham. Graham is instantly drawn and protective of Olivia, he know she is not who she says she is immediately when ask but that does not stop him.

This is a fun story with a sarcastic humor that you can't help but laugh at. The love and understanding Graham and his sister Lauren have is bigger than life, as they realize their life could have easily turn as Olivia. You will fall in love with all the character as you join them on part of their journey.

A quick steamy read. Graham and Olivia are very quick to name their attraction to each other as love. The chemistry is pretty much instant off the pages upon the two meeting. Graham hulked out on his alpha tendencies, and immediately brings Olivia back to his place. They finally give in to their desire for each other with a little nudge from Graham's adopted sister. From then on it's full steam ahead. The author does add a little more depth with a Olivia's family dynamic into the story, as it was the cause of her homelessness to begin with. Thankfully, issues eventually get resolved between Olivia and her brother. Cherry on top, the couple get an HEA with a little bonus.

Olivia is recently homeless after leaving the place she shared with her addicted brother. She finds a student ID for the local university gym and thinks she can find somewhere to sleep. She runs into Graham at the gym. He knows she’s not the girl on the ID. He offers her a future and she takes it. He’s possessive but in a good way. They have an instant attraction. It’s a quick read but I highly recommend it.

Isla Chiu has quickly become an automatic one-click author for me so I was so excited to read Safe. Olivia is left homeless after she runs from the place she was sharing with her drug addicted brother. With nowhere else to go, she ends up at the university. This is where she meets Graham when she tries to get in with someone else's student ID. Graham is instantly obsessed with Olivia and he is determined to not only protect her but to claim her his. If you enjoy OTT obsessed alphas who fall in love at first sight, you will love their story!

Standalone with no cliffhangers.
Olivia isn't safe at home anymore so she is trying to get into a university recreation center to nap, when she's caught.
Graham is not great at flirting, he says it like it is. He wants Olivia.
Fun story with laughs, heat, and family drama.

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. This is the story of Olivia and Graham was great. I was so captivated from the first page. There was so much emotions the chemistry between these two was hotter than hot. Olivia was kicked out from her brothers place, she found a school ID so she went to see if there was a place for her to sleep, that is when she met Graham the ID belongs to his sister. The story was fast-paced page turner book.

Our heroine is in a bad state and our heroine just wants to protect her and make things better. Simple, right?

This is a short erotic romance with something of an instalove theme. The story is well written and easy to read with a small but effective cast. The story moves along at a good pace with plenty of steam along the way. The plot is not complicated, but it is fun nonetheless and leads to a nice tidy conclusion. Overall, it made for a pleasant evening read.

This was a cute OTT romance. What a way for Olivia to make a first impression when she meets Graham. Graham is your typical alpha who does things his way, when he wants. However, his sister is the same, and she cracks me up. Olivia and Graham have good chemistry together, and he is quite sweet to her.

When I select a book written by Isla Chiu, I am always left wanting to read another book from this author. This was a quick read, but it is well written. You can feel the attraction while you read. I recommend this to anyone that wants to thoroughly enjoy an insta-love HEA.

I enjoyed this work by Isla Chiu. It was a bit fast paced but that tends to be Chiu’s way of writing. I enjoyed the banter between the characters and watching them fall for each other. This was a great quick read.

Olivia meets Graham while using a stolen ID, which just happens to be his sisters. Graham is immediately protective and wanting Olivia, can he make her see the light that he will care and love her. Or will Olivia ruin her chance at happiness. A quick read on instalove for young people with some fortunate circumstances.

Good storyline with some great characters. Graham finds Olivia in the gym posing as someone else. He finds out she's homeless and takes her home. This is such a fast story that if you blink you'd miss the whole book. Graham and Olivia declare their love in less that three days. Pretty steamy parts. This novella was a bit too much copy and paste for me. With an overbearing MMC who made her his after meeting her with zero input from the FMC. But the worst part… she just giggled and said, ok. I want more meat on my bones. More fire and spit in my heroines. Your typical he-man, pound his chest, cliched read isn’t for me.
