Moonlit Falls #8

Moonlit Agate

Rate this book

Moving to Moonlit Falls was supposed to be Agate's fresh start.

As the boss, and only full-time employee, of Soil Sprite Gardening & Landscaping, she's working on her dream renovation - an unkempt patch of land surrounding the town's beautiful, ancient oak tree.

Unfortunately in doing so, she may have accidentally wrecked the town. Maybe.

The human residents of Moonlit Falls have started seeing glimpses of the supernatural around them, despite the town's wards, and Agate thinks it has something to do with that tree.

As the town descends into chaos, she needs to get some help! But will a magical pumpkin spice latte binding her to a blood witch, a python shifter, and a human be the answer to her problems? Or will it just create new ones?

If they're not careful, the secret of Moonlit Falls could be permanently damaged, and the supernatural haven gone forever.

Moonlit Agate is a standalone novel as part of the Moonlit Falls series and Moon Dust Library/Silver Springs shared universe. This is a polyamorous novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest, and contains MM scenes. This book is intended for audiences 18+.

The cover of this book might be my favorite of this series. I really love the wings, they are so mesmerizing and realistic! I was therefore quite excited to read this story, hoping that the characters and plot would be as amazing as the cover. Last week my arc landed in my mailbox and it's that I wanted to save the book for a workday, because usually I can read those within a day even when I have to work, else I would have started it right away.

The first thing I want to mention is the writing style. Isaac has a wonderful writing style. She uses the right amount of descriptions, balanced with very natural dialogues. Not only her characters are therefore quite vivid, so is everything else. I could almost feel the sand and mud between my toes and I could really see the spirits of the trees. The story really came to life, both in my heart and soul and in my head.

I also really enjoyed the plot in this book. Maybe it wasn't too big or spectacular, but it made sure our characters had a lovely character arc. It also really fitted our heroine's personality. It almost felt as if the plot, the story about the ancient tree and the spirit in it, was a part of our heroine. And although there are some really sad moments I ended the book with a huge smile on my face and a really warm feeling in my heart.

That's also because of the characters. I have to admit that I would have loved to get to know the guys a little better. Adding their point of view would have helped me to understand and like them better. However, in their interactions and conversations with our heroine they seemed like a perfect fit for her. Especially because they weren't perfect. They had a little edge, some hidden layer. I will for sure check out every other book this author will write in the future.

This was such a fun one. I've read about faes living in Silver Springs/Moonlit Falls, but never a sprite. Aggy was such a fantastic addition to this world. The guys may had clashing personalities, but made it work. Plus, it is always fun when a human lives among the supes. What an incredible story!

Loved it!

We've seen Aggy flitting about in some of the other Moonlit Falls books, now it's her time to shine! She's settled into Moonlit Falls and is working on her dream job when she finds her 3 mates - a blood witch, his python shifter familiar, and her very human friend who doesn't know about the supernatural. Our earth sprite has to deal with a tree at the centre of town, which seems to be connected with the wards glitching. I loved these characters, they were fun and relatable, and I always love seeing human reactions to discovering their friends' secret lives!

OMG! What did Agate do to Moonlite falls?? Has she compromised the wards protecting the town from the humans? Will everyone be exposed? This sweet and sexy read is witty and hot as Agate meets her fated mates then tries to fix the problem. Mystery, intrigue, romance, humour and a little sass makes this as fab addition.

Tree fantastic!!!

I loved Agates love for her gardening and how mush she loved her job. A mother she desperately want to keep back in Wales and her best friend Maeve who will do anything for Agate, even kick butt if needed. One pumpkin spiced latte that will bring three fated mates and mystery that will have them all racing against time to keep everyone safe. I loved getting to know all the new characters even Marcus who you didn't know whether you wanted to punch him or like him with his snake eyes and his cheeky ways. I love Agates reaction through out the story while there was still an element of suprice while being totally funny and I really enjoyed the read.

Enjoyable

Another wonderful book in the Moonlit Falls series that will have you laughing and unable to put it down. Interesting characters that aren’t the typical supernaturals you find in other books had me interested all the way to the end.

3.5 stars!

I can see how this would be a very sweet, comfortable series to read. Remarkably low-angst, YA-vibes with extra spice.

I just didn't particularly bond to any of the characters. I felt like everyone settled into the mate thing far too quickly with literally NO questions or discussions around how anything was going to work. Basically insta-love. The FMC was a little annoying here and there, one of the MMCs was basically in the background at all times even though he was the only one who actually like...pursued her as a romantic candidate prior to the mate bond coming to life.

So lets meet Agate. Now she is a sprite living in Moonlit Falls. She has her own landscaping business. She handles all the plants around town. She is just wanting to bring the beauty of her town to life. Now she was finally given approval for this major project. While she is working on this project things happen. Like a snake falling out of a tree and wrapping around her. Say what, yeah if that was me, I would be burning the area. However, she does relaxes and goes with it. The snake is a shifter named Marcus. Then later she meets this really sexy guy named Nate. For a minute though I thought that was going to crash a burn. Then we find out that Marcus is Nates' familiar. Oh lets not forget about Erich who she has always pined over but he is human. Everything changed when she had her a cup of PSL. Then more odd things are happening, like the human actually seeing what supes look like. Why is that. Well you need to read to find out. In the meantime you get to read about he sexy adventure Aggy gets up to.

This one made my inner green witch sing, lol. I love that Agate is an Earth Sprite and the overall storyline! This addition to the Moonlit Falls collection wasn’t quite a steamy as the others, it was more plot forward, which is okay! But I wasn’t expecting it after reading the much steamier prequel lol. I know Twisted Fates was written after Moonlit Agate was, so it’s possible the author was still finding her sea legs in the smut world! It was a very enjoyable read though, I inhaled it in a few short hours after reading Twisted Fates. I really enjoyed Katherine Isaac’s humor and writing style and I will definitely look for more of her work in the future ☺️

Moonlit Agate is the 8th book in this series of stand-alone stories.
I loved the characters. Agate is adorably awkward and the banter between the different sets of friends is lively and funny.
The magic in Moonlit Falls is suffering and nobody knows why. Agate discovers the cause and is forced to go against her very nature to save the town. I truly liked how the whole ordeal was resolved.
I also love how so many of the town's other characters were incorporated. The little snippets here and there ties the whole series together. I will continue to recommend reading all the books in order. Not one of them has left me wanting.
Highly recommended.

Among all the books I read in the Silver Springs universe, this book is definitely the best one.

What I loved especially was how Aggy, Erich, Nate and Marcus didn't fall in love (and in bed) with each other right away just because of the mate bond. They actually started by getting to know each other. Moreover, I really appreciated how the author made Erich (the human) freak out when he finds out about the supernatural world.

I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

Katherine Isaac adds her delightful story, Moonlit Agate, to the Moonlit Falls series. As a debut book, Katherine hits all of the highs of a PNR RH story.

We have a beautiful sprite, and three hunky mates. The focus of this story is truly on our Earth fae and her amazing ability to grow things around her. Little did she realize her relationship would grow into love and respect for her eclectic group.

With sweet notes of friendship, lots of sass, and romance, too, Isaac creates characters and a story that I found enchanting.

I really enjoyed this book and proceeded to finish it within a couple hours. I could not put it down no matter what. It moves along at a comfortable reading speed making for an easy and enjoyable read. It has interesting characters that you want to know more about and you cannot help but fall in love with them and a story that will grab your interest and keep you reading till you reach the end and then you are wanting more. This is a must read that needs to be on your list, you will not be sorry that you did.

Wow what an absolutely gorgeous cover…one of the best in this series. And this new author has brought these characters to life through the pages. These characters are all unique and realistic. There is no bam jump into bed and calmly take everything in your stride, we get the realistic side. The characters grow together in their relationship snd the poor human freaks the hell out! This storyline is also so unique to the other books with interesting characters. Great book by a very talented author.

It's about time one of these series dropped us a sprite! And Aggy is the perfect one to be the first. She is so wonderful that I want to be her friend IRL. For a first time author, Katherine Isaac nailed it. Her story had great life to it with fun, realistic characters, imaginative storyline and great descriptions that put the reader right into the world. This is a great book a new author to watch. My only problem is the python shifter, but snakes are my issue, I won't hold that against the book.

Moonlit Falls is a magical place where those that are paranormals can be free to be themselves. For Aggy that means letting her wings out and making sure the town is filled with beautiful plants and flowers. But when she takes on one large project things don’t go as plan. But with the help of friends and some men she will not stop until things are tight again. The story is a guaranteed happily ever after with some hotness. There is a touch of m/m/f that just helps spice things up more even after the help on one pumpkin spice latte.

This was a cute, heartwarming story, about an earth sprite with an avoidance of shoes, and a knack for taking on so much she barely gets a break. Then tragedy strikes when she finally gets her dream project. With the help of her newfound mates, after a short stint of panic and chaos, they race to save the town and be unsung heroes that some may never understand. Agate doesn’t care about her heroic attempts though. She just wants to save a tree, and the people who are in danger if the tree dies.

Agate is just your average sprite. She works with the Earth. She loves to garden and feel the dirt on her toes. She is sharing a house with her BFF who happens to be a gnome. She is desperately in love with a human. Agate has finally convinced the town to allow her to invigorate the town park with this amazing old tree. Did I forget to mention Agate can talk to plants and trees. Agate ends up getting a PSL while on a date with a witch. Turns out they are mates along with two others. One is the human she has been in love with, the other just happens to be a snake and the familiar to the witch she was on a date with. Hilarity ensues, while they have to work together to the save the town.

This was a great fast read. I love how the author brings the characters to life for me. I felt like I really got to know them.

Aggy is awesome!

I loved this story and the characters. I liked that we got some background and connections before jumping into the mate bonds. The whole adventure was a clever twist with what could happen if the wards stopped working. I enjoyed how the other books leading ladies are friendly with each other and mentioned within the town. I can't wait to read more about Aggy, her mates, and Maeve.

Agate is such a cool character. I love her relationship with her guys, and I completely relate to the relationship between her and her mum. The mystery of why the wards were failing and what caused it was really interesting. I also liked that even though there was MM in the book it didn’t feel like it took over the main mating bond. It was just something there in the background rather than being the focus.

Such a wonderful addition to Moonlit Falls. As a sprite Agate has affinity with soils and she is trying to revive a beautiful tree but something is wrong. The veil of Moonlit Falls is slowly changing and humans can see the supernatural world with glimpses. Along with that is one of Agate's friends. Taking a PSL to take things of her mind reveals her mates. Can she help the veil and keep her mates?

Moonlit Agate focuses on Earth sprite Aggy and a mysterious oak tree! There are some strange things happening in the town, stranger than usual in a magical town anyway, and Aggy is on the case! Much like other woman in this town, however, it doesn't take her long to discover she has mates. But how can a blood witch, a python shifter, and a human help her? This is a fantastic addition to the series and I am so excited to read the next book!

Sprites, Gnomes and others...

This story was unique. A Sprite, A Blood Witch, A Python Shifter and a Human? Aggy and her best friend, Maeve, live in a tree. Yes, an actual tree! She has been friends with Erich, human, for years. Erich had no idea magic existed. She meets Marcus and Nate when things start going squirrelly in Moonlit Falls. Enjoyed reading how they all came together to defeat the threat against the town.

I really loved this addition to the moonlit falls franchise, the characters were interesting and brought something new to the whole series while Agate desperately tries to fix what has gone wrong with the wards and also tries to develop her relationship with her mates. The usual humour and drama ensued, I have loved this season as well as the sister books from silver springs if you love romance, magic and and love a little (ok not so little) crazy in your life grab these books.

Moonlit Agate is the eighth Book in Moonlit Falls, I totally love how the characters and story have been written, Agate is an Earth Sprite who wants to clean up the old village green when things don't go quite to plan. Would recommend Moonlit Dust Library for anyone who is looking for a series of books that is light-hearted.

A sweet story of Aggy, who I completely pictured as a hippy, and her guys that she ended up with. They are a good combination, and suit each other. It was nice to see each relationship (and the group as a whole) develop. I enjoyed reading about Sprites, and other less-known earth/creatures bound to nature. And this Sprite is adorable.
