We’ve been best friends since childhood.
She works at my physician’s office. I help with her baking.

I’ve been in love with her for years, and I know she loves me too.
But neither of us have wanted to risk our friendship by taking the next step.

Until now.

Our local banker is giving her one last chance to apply for a loan to start her dream bakery.
She’ll need my help all week to make sure she nails the presentation.
And I’m thinking this just might be the perfect opportunity to convince her we belong together.

She’s willing to risk it all for her dream.
But does she count me a part of it?

Rascal is a steamy Southern small town friends to lovers standalone romance and part of a series about a bunch of hot brothers. There is no cheating and it has a HEA. It’s not necessary to read the other books before this one.

4 star review of  Rascal (The King Brothers #3) by K D Elizabeth

This is Griffin and Cassie’s story and was a fun addition to the series. A friends to lovers story that left me with a smile on my face and wanting more.
Griffin is interested in Cassie but he cannot convince her to take a chance as she doesn’t want to ruin their friendship. I really like Griffin and Cassie, both separately and together. They were fun, likeable characters who I could easily relate too.
The chemistry and attraction between them is obvious and once they cross the line there is no turning back. This was a quick, entertaining story that I really enjoyed.

This is a fun book to read with the main characters starting as long time friends. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flowed smoothly. The chemistry is undeniable between the couple and what results is a love let lose.

A friends to lovers romance that will make you laugh and truly feel the love between the characters!

Griffin is the sweetest of the King brothers. He's the doctor of the small town and always helps and cares for everyone; he is one of the kindest souls and I adore him. Cassie is passionate and caring. She does everything with so much passion and loves baking with a dream to own her own bakery one day. She is so cute and precious, I adore her too.

Griffin and Cassie have been best friends since childhood but he has always wanted to be more. She feels the same way but is afraid to let herself feel deeper love for him with the fear of risking destroying their friendship. But Griffin is done being only the good boy of the brothers and is set on making Cassie realize how much they both love each other, as more than friends, deep down. I loved how he continues to fight for her and doesn't give up on her no matter how much she tries to push him away.

The friends to lovers brought so much tension and I was all here for it. Griffin and Cassie's chemistry is electric! The bond they share is special and it's truly marvelous. I loved being with those two and experiencing it all alongside them. They just hit differently on my heart!

The ending is so damn cute and I couldn't stop smiling the entire time. Also having the previous characters in it made me so happy; ah I just love them all so so much. It's like it comes full circle and I wouldn't have it any other way. Griffin is the best one of the King brothers, you can fight me on that but actually don't please, haha!

I ADORED this book so much, it melted my heart and I even teared up one time, and it's so far my favorite!

"We'll hold each other, Griffin. Through the good times and the bad. Through the todays and every tomorrow."

The Author Gets It Right!
Rascal is such a fun, sweet, delicious, awww, story. The main characters, Griffin, the town doctor and Cassie, his office receptionist and friend since kindergarten are perfectly written. They are believable as having a long friendship and the dilemma when one wants to take it into the next level. That, dilemma can certainly drive a wedge and almost end a deep friendship but a mutual love of Alice, a grandma like figure to Cassie brings them together.
This storyline just kept me reading and reading until finished...in one day.
Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure.
I am leaving this review for your consideration. Peace.

4,5* Entertaining, funny and lovable characters

My favourite brother so far. I simply loved this adorable read and way Griffin acted. Loved his hilarious inner monologues, his thoughts and fantasies. This book kept me really up into late hours of night. I just needed to know what will happen next and where is the catch. There's major twist in the plot that impacted hugely his friendship with Cassie. But every cloud has a silver lining. The title is perfect for this story and I can't stop smiling even now writing this review when I think what funny, hilarious and sexy moments those two had together. Awesome read!

Three down... and three to go! Axel is grumpy, Jackson is sarcastic, and Griffin is good. Griffin is tired of doing what’s expected of him, he’s tired of always being the go to “good guy”, he can be naughty too, and he’s set his sites on Cassie and her baked goods to be naughty with. But the real question is, “Is Cassie ready for the new Griffin?”

KD Elizabeth has done it again, this is the third book in the King Brothers series, this is a true friends to lovers trope with cupcakes! This sweet story has all you need, and it’s a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. I love these King boys, and I’m happy to see them get their HEAs.

I’m so excited to see who comes next!

Take one very good boy, Griffin, who can cook.
Add in one very good girl, Cassie, who loves to bake.

Best friends, coworkers and maybe lovers?

Griffin is done being good and he wants to be a little bit bad with Cassie.
Will she get him out of the friend zone and into the in zone?

Fun and flirty.
Recommend.

I can so relate to the middle sibling thing. Griffin is the good one from the King boys and he has a thing for his best friend. Cassie is a kind soul and a great baker but apparently sucks at business. It’s a fun book, with crazy and sweet characters. Slow simmering hotness between the MCs. I enjoyed this installment.

I enjoyed this story! It's entertaining and sweet with some wonderful characters. The plot is interesting and captivating. It's a fairly quick and short read that is well developed and written. I love Griffin and Cassie's story. Griffin is the middle brother and the responsible good child. Cassie and Griffin not only work together but have been friends since they were young. This is a fun story with some enjoyable dialogue and banter.

I am so glad I was able to read this collection!

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole of each story. I found myself in love with not only the characters, but also the worlds that were created.

Great character development with enough of the everyday grind to really be able to sink into each and every book.

Eh it was okay

The dating thing was stupid but the fact that it was written entirely from his perspective made it hotter than it really was. We all want a dirty minded man. And for a man to tell you every naughty, filthy absolutely decadent thought that runs through his head--that was nice. The plot was juvenile and the execution was just okay. Props on the POV and the characters but, that's it.

This was a fun, happy story which would have gotten a 5 star rating if the actual sex scene at the end had been worth more than 3 stars due to practically zero foreplay and zero steam. Aside from that I can highly recommend this book.

Griffin!

Oh these dirty talking King men are dangerous. In this friends to lover romance, Griffin turns up the seduction on his long-time friend Cassie, not realizing she had her own agenda. I love how Monster, Devil, and Rascal are happening at the same time making each book a stand alone even though they are part of a series.

It’s quiet funny to read a story about a guy who really really want a girl and kind of act kind of like a girl in order to get her. It’s refreshing event if the story is pretty basic

A winning combination.

Good backstory slipped into the plot. The characters maintain their individuality . The readers get enough clues about each relationship to care about them and want to read more.

Cute story

I like how the brothers lives intertwined in these stories. Griff and Cassie were a cute couple but Cassie was unbelievable with anything other than baking. I mean no one can be that slow....

This is book 3 in the King Brother series. I have read the first two, but I believe this could still be read as a stand alone. I have to rate 3 stars purely out of personal preference. It's too goody two shoes sweet for my taste. I was bored. I skimmed a lot because I just wasn't interested.
