After finally receiving some publicity in a national magazine, Rosie Casket has her hands full trying to keep her bed and breakfast afloat.
But when new clues bob to the surface about her sister’s disappearance, she gets sidetracked from taking care of the inn and goes sleuthing for answers.
Unfortunately, those answers go up in smoke.
Literally.
Now, not only is she accused of perpetrating the most impossible murder that Maine has ever seen, but everyone in Dark Haven thinks she is a witch.
Will the prophecy from an ancient riddle prove true? Will she and Matt Mettle move closer to a relationship—or will he become the murderer’s next victim?
And can Rosie keep her head above water long enough to stay out of the cauldron?
Or will she get burned at the stake?
Red Rum is the third book in the Rosie Casket mystery series. A little darker than the first two, it moves faster than a brushfire.

I write wild cozy mysteries with lots of twists and quirky characters. In real life, I’m just a lowly public school teacher, but some of my best friends are medical examiners, high-ranking military officials, intelligence officers, and comedians (not necessarily in that order ;) Put together, their expertise helps me write pulse-pounding mysteries with humor and authenticity.

I am so hooked on this series and this book was fantastic! Of course it ends with a new twist to leave readers anxious for more. I love that this story is unique and creative. I was kind of hoping that Rosie and Matt would get closer after all that happened so maybe there is still hope. The twists and turns are interesting and I feel like there is a lot more to the story meaning more new books. I only hope they come quickly, I am dying of suspense to see what they will find out next and what else will happen.
Good story line, plot to keep you guessing and snappy dialogue. Love all the references from literature. Hope this storyline continues, the characters still have lots to discover and say. Will Matt and Rosie ever find her sister, will they ever find each other? Really hope the author revisits this series.
This book was very exciting, the one thing about these books are the open ending. I already like the book and others will too but a group us want an ending
