The only thing worse than betrayal is when it comes from the one you love the most. I thought I’d seen the worst that Havoc House has to offer. I thought I understood what it meant to have nothing left. I was wrong.
The sister that just blew back into my life isn’t the girl that I remember and she hasn’t brought anything good with her. Blood might be thicker than water, but it flows just as easily.
This has always been a game and all the players are on the board even if they don’t know it. Pawns will be sacrificed and pieces lost.
There might be two queens on the board, but only one will be left standing when this game is over.
Ashley Gee is a romance author and part-time adult. She lives in Indiana with her husband, two children, two cats, two dogs and partridge in a pear tree (okay not really!). She doesn’t enjoy long walks on the beach because the sand gets everywhere but can often be found binging Netflix and drinking wine from Kroger. Her books feature brooding boys and the girls who bring them to their knees. And the one thing she loves more than anything else is talking about herself in the third person.
When Evie decided to take Olivia's place at school, she had one thing in mind - to get revenge on those who had hurt her twin sister -Olivia. Despite their differences, the one thing Evie has always done is save her sister from hurt as she sees that as her goal in life - to protect her sister. What Evie didn't count on was falling in love with Drew Van Koch and making friends with her roommates. At the end of Book #2, we were left with the cliffhanger ending as Olivia turned up and Drew was arrested. Now both girls are enrolled at the school but as Evie is Olivia and Olivia is pretending to be Evie. Evie was hoping she and her sister would reunite but turns out her sister is a real biarch and trying to get Evie to leave as Olivia wants to be Queen Bee. As the book goes on, we read as it looks like it's not just Evie with a plan to bring down Havoc House but Olivia has a plan and she is determined not to have Evie interfere with it, even if it means pushing her as far away and driving a wedge as she can. I did like the direction this book took and reading the epilogue made me smile as it set up for a potential fourth book but from Olivia aka Mommy's Ghost POV. If you love bullymances, twins and revenge stories and college fiction then check out the Vengeance is Mine series by Ashley Gee.
We are back to the wild ride in Cry Havoc where all bets are off. My mind is utterly blown from all the things that went down in this book. This shook me to the damn core, just like the first two books, and I loved every single moment of it. I love this story with so much passion and adore these characters like crazy!
By now we know how messed up the Havoc House is so I didn't think it could get even more messed up but damn was I wrong because it totally did. Even murder seems like something small compared to it all, although there's that too. When you think you know one thing, something else comes at you with a bang leaving you completely rattled. The twist guys, the freaking twist! The way this made me anxious as hell was so intense but I loved it!
Drake and Gigi's love story is wild but also absolutely beautiful. The way it started with pure hate in Raise Hell and slowly turned into this passionate deep love is what really got to me, it's truly spectacular! The angst is still there and it mixed with the tender moments I adore is simply everything. Those two are like gas and fire, in a good way haha, their sizzling chemistry being outstanding. I adore how they keep fighting for dominance but also at the same time both kinda melt at each others touch. Ah wow it's stunning!
I'm so sad to let this trilogy go but it's definitely a new favorite of mine that I just know I'll think about from time to time. Drake and Gigi own my heart!
"We're fire that burns everything it touches, pleasure and pain wrapped up so tight that it is impossible to pull them apart."
*I received this ARC via BookSirens but the thoughts are completely my own.*
OH. MY. GOD. literal CHILLS. I am COVERED in goosebumps right now. Holy fuck that was INCREDIBLE. Plot twist of the fucking century. Wow I did not see that coming- jaw dropped so hard I almost broke it. That ending was everything I needed and more!!!! I am begggggingggg for more stories in this world. I am not ready for it to be over. Jesus Christ I am bouncing off of the walls here, I need more already!!! Absolutely incredible series. If you want something that’ll fuck with your head and your heart, READ THIS! 100% one of my fave reads this year!
This book was FRUSTRATING. After Olivia's entry, Gigi became blehhh. Like where was the girl that returned to Uni with a spray painted jacket, acting like a total bitch?! Gigi getting humiliated by Olivia multiple times throughout the book made me want to smack some sense into Gigi.
And in the flashback, Olivia was clearly blaming Gigi for getting assaulted by their uncle. And towards the end, Olivia is all, "I didn't know how you would turn out after juvy and I know you went there because you protected me"..like bitch what?! They barely had a relationship after Gigi's time in juvy and suddenly its all "Aww sis..I kept humiliating you to protect you"🤦🏾♀️ Also how did Olivia figure out everything about Gigi???! They barely talked in the last 10 years and Olivia shows up not just looking like Gigi but knows her entire history after Gigi was kicked out of their home! And don't get me started on the hair prank. Messing with another girl's hair is NOT COOL. Was this another way Olivia was protecting her sister?! 😑
Drake and Gigi were boring in this book. Most of their scenes involved Drake trying to get Gigi to stop investigating and ended with them having sex. Like there was no plot there after two books of their crazy back and forth!
Now why did I give this a four star? Because of Olivia. To be honest, I want a book from Olivia's POV from the time she starts university! Her arc was the most surprising! Seeing her go from a boring and timid girl with zero friends to a woman out for vengeance..now that's the book I want to read! I know the author mentioned that we will see more of Olivia in the future but damn I want to read her past from her POV!
On the whole a pretty good series if you're looking for some "revenge stuff". Won't really make you satisfied but at least something is better than nothing right?

4 Redeeming Stars! An so it ends and vengeance is truly hers. Raise Hell poured the gasoline Have Mercy lit the match and Cry Havoc set the whole damn place ablaze. When I tell you that Evangeline stayed true to her word about bringing Havoc House to its knees in a cloud of smoke, I mean even I was speechless when it actually happened. This book wove romance, suspense and just plan revenge together effortlessly that you almost never wanted it to end. GiGi and Drake’s chemistry was unavoidably dynamic and was what all hate to love relationships aspire to be. The real Olivia was unbearable throughout this book but got the redemption arch that made it worth it overall. Overall a great trilogy from an underrated and fairly new author that deserves some major bookstgram love and attention.
That epilogue alone deserves the 5 stars i’m giving this.
I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this story ever since I finished it yesterday and yes by the 20% mark i had already guessed what would happen but the build up to that was done so well and the last 5 chapters especially took my breath away. Gigi and Drake have my whole heart the enemies to lovers excellence i needed but….can we talk about the complicated yet deep and visceral bond between the twins ?? man i could write an essay of how much that got to me
Ms. Gee’s writing style is so engaging!!! I was left wanting more of everything 😭 hope I’ll be reading more stories soon
Great conclusion! We get all our questions answered secrets revealed I loved the twists and turns up until the very end ! This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through! I hope we get more from the secondary characters in this series and I can’t wait to read more from this author! Amazing story !
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Loved it! What a satisfying ending after enduring two books that only frustrated me with their persuasive ability to make me stop partaking in my responsibilities and life-like motions in an effort to keep living vicariously through these characters. So good!
This is the final book of this trilogy. And i just have to say: i love so much theses books. In the sequence of the book two, here we discover the dynamics between Olivia and Evangeline, how Derek manage your problems (with his father and Havoc House) and, in the background, there are the whole problem with the mysteries with the “accident” and the Initiation. I’ve to say that i really disliked Olivia, but understand that in the end. I really enjoy this series and i hope we can see anothers books from this universe.
Ok, so in the interest of full disclosure, the only reason I read this book was because after finishing the first one of the trilogy, Raise Hell, which I really enjoyed, I instantly got the other two, so it was already sitting on my Kindle.
The first half I read normally, but after realizing things were still being dragged out and since there were no spoilers I could find to sate my own curiosity, I skim-read the second half to finally get to the "Big Reveal", which, as I'd already suspected didn't live up to the mystery built-up throughout three whole books and did not justify or explain the extremes Havoc had gone to, to try and get rid of Gigi-as-Olivia.
But before that, a few thoughts:
It was so disappointing to see Evangeline lose her spark and spunk. She became this whiny girl who was useless, and who let things happen to her instead of taking the bull by the horns.
What was even the point of introducing this off-the-grid, supposed best friend who was a computer expert and hacker genius if she wasn't gonna help unearth dirt on Havoc House? Waste of time.
Getting Gigi off campus would have been as easy as her dad not paying her tuition. And Drake was already being threatened with his sister's safety to drop their digging around, so ensuring he wouldn't have payed for her would have been easy. Huge plot hole to miss.
Gigi, Olivia and the Boys from Havoc Get there Vengeance
In this final book in the Vengeance is Mine series we find Evangeline battling a new enemy, one she didn’t see coming, one that is from within her own family.
As Drake and Evangeline continue to try to out wit the Alumni, it appears that they just may have the upper hand when Evangeline/ Gigi’s twin Olivia shows up at St. Bart’s.
To say it’s a surprise would be understatement, as the last time Gigi saw Olivia she was very much in a coma.
Her appearance isn’t the sunshine and light you would expect when the two finally meet. Olivia has changed, she has become, ruthless, conniving, down right mean. She’s playing a game, a game that they used to play as kids
“Let’s play a game…I’ll be me and you be you.” And that’s exactly what Gigi it forced to do. Allow Olivia, to swap places with her, so she staying being her, and Olivia becomes Evangeline/ Gigi. This sets the premise for most of this story as The REAL Olivia becomes something of a super B towards her sister. Pushing her away from the social circles at school and creating enemies. All while, Drake try’s to protect his half sister from the blow back of his and Gigi’s interference. AND the continuing threat of the Alumni.
Things begin to draw to a close as this year’s pledges and initiates prepare for the Bacchanal at Club Havoc. Let’s just say, things off of with a bang.
Suffice to say, drama unfolds on top of drama, as the mean old crusty men of the Alumni have to battle their own sons, and daughters in a literal fight to the death.
As expected, because, let’s face it, 90% of the readers of this story will want a HEA, and there are no surprises on that front.
All the way through to the five years later epilogue, which basically is just there for the sake of wrapping up what really happened to the real Olivia. ( This is becoming the normal author go to these days to resolve a lot of storyline’s)
And, couldn’t be any more cheesy.
Plus! We also get the whole happy Van Koch family finally…Ugh! The whole kit and caboodle…Marriage and kids rich, business doing well, scenario.
Most annoying character??? Well….Evangeline/Gigi at times was obstinate and F up at lot. But the prize would have to go to the Social Climbing Anya, She’s Gigi’s bestie who worms her way in. Dragging Gigi along to parties, spa days, etc…etc
She is a busy bodying gossip and annoying AF Queen of the rumor mill. But it works as she finally snags herself a Havoc Boy at the end.
Plot was interesting in this one, but it was never in doubt that the kids were going to take down the bad guys at the end. Leaving them with nothing more than to wrap up each other’s HEA. ***
The ending has me hoping for a 4th book telling Olivia's story on where she's been the last 5 years😳
Love that Gigi and Drake got a happy ending, and it was only because of Liv.
Favs: Love easily becomes obsession when you want so badly to become a part of something bigger that you're willing to sacrifice everything else.
To be fair, prayer is an empty gesture when you only do it because you want something.
Family is just the people who get a chance to hurt you before anyone else can. When they reject you, it makes it easy to believe that's all you can expect from life.
I'll take any lie to my grave if it means keeping her safe and happy. That is a burden I'm willing to carry until the end of my days. If I have to be the bad guy to keep her, then that's what I'll be.
Being able to forgive isn't a weakness.
He kisses me like he wants the entire world to see it, like he is staking a claim.
I could be on my deathbed and still want to screw her brains out.
This girl is like a fire underneath my skin, burning me from the inside out.
We're a fire that burns everything it touches, pleasure, and pain wrapped up so tight that it is impossible to pull them apart. I've let her forget who the fuck we are. Both of us are in need of a reminder.
No body is coming to save you baby.
Are you going to be a good girl
Maybe I'll just take it. Save you the embarrassment of admitting what you really want.
We've also never been sweet. Our relationship has always been fire and friction, with no small amount of venom. This is the type of love that sometimes hurts. Which is exactly what we both need it to be.
I've already promised to keep her safe and I will. From everything but me.
I love the way she says my last name, the way her tone makes it into an insult. Little does she know that note of disgust in her voice just makes me want to fuck her harder.
I always like to see you on your knees, Van Koch. I don't need to be on my feet to own you, Pratt.
We fit together like puzzle pieces with razor-sharp edges.
If we're not making mistakes, then we're not really living.
Guilt compels us to do alot of things that aren't good for us.
She looks bedraggled, sleepy-eyed and more beautiful than any other woman I've ever seen. But I would give anything to take that aching sadness out of her eyes.
An explosive conclusion to this enthralling trilogy.
Evangeline was thrown for more than one loop while the conclusion of the Vengeance is Mine trilogy.
This picks up where Have Mercy left off and the intensity doesn’t let up until it reaches the end.
Evangeline and Drake show everyone they’re a couple but it’s not that easy when secrets are being kept and threats are being made.
There are so many twists and intricately woven details that had me absolutely consumed. Secrets are revealed, things begin adding up for some and yet others seem to be unraveling.
For the most enjoyment from this series, don’t read spoilers. It’s dark and twisty, all consuming, a STRONG heroine, a possessive alpha-hole, spine tingling twists, jaw dropping turns, and steam.
This is the third and final book in the Vengeance is Mine series and concludes Gigi’s and Drake’s story. This whole series has been a mind***k of epic proportion (in a good way) trying to find out who was responsible for Olivia’s attack. After the ending of the last book, I was spinning. I did NOT see that twist coming.
This book picks up right where the last book ended and primarily focuses on the after effects of that reveal. I really felt for Gigi in this book. Like, I felt her pain.I also (shockingly) felt for Drake in this book. I liked that he FINALLY was completely transparent with Gigi about everything and began treating her like he should have all along. Don’t get me wrong, his alphahole traits are definitely , but it’s also nice to see how much he respects and loves her.
I kinda saw the twisted ending coming after the conclusion of the last book, but that didn’t make it any less enjoyable. The only thing is that it felt a little rushed for me right at the end. However, I still completely recommend this series.
I’m also looking forward to possible future books about secondary characters in this series. Overall, totally recommend.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Each book in the Vengence is mine series leaves you wanting more and this book is no different. I recommend reading all three books together.
Evangeline protected Olivia when they were younger but how far is Olivia willing to go to protect her sister.
Secrets are like cancer. It only takes the tiniest one to grow and mutate into something that will destroy you from the inside out.
When they were younger Olivia and Evangeline enjoyed playing pretend
'Let’s play a game… I’ll be me and you be you'. So what happens when they play one final game.
I enoyed the relationship that formed throughout the 3 books between Evangeline and Drake, We fit together like puzzle pieces with razor-sharp edges.
How far will Drake go to protect the two people who mean the world to him.
Although this is the 3rd and final book in the Vengence is mine series you are still somehow left with unanswered question. I look forward to reading more book by Ashley. I hope she writes more book in this series as I still have some unanswered questions.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Let me start by saying that this series is really good overall. I had visceral reactions to the way Evangeline was treated and was fully invested in finishing the story to see how it turned out. So, why 3 stars? Well…
The biggest thing for me was the editing. All of the books had issues, but they seemed to get progressively worse in each book. If you’re not someone who gets hung up on that, then don’t hesitate to read. For me, the increasing errors took me out of the story and I was legitimately annoyed with them by the end. And I swear I’m not nitpicking a couple of misspelled words - the number of errors was significant.
Additionally, there were a few other smaller things that stood out. The ending felt a little rushed after so much build-up. I still had questions left unanswered about some things that had been teased regarding supporting characters that weren’t adequately addressed. And I actually felt like the ending was more predictable than I expected it to be, given how well the rest of the surprises were executed in the series.
Overall, it’s still a good read and I would consider reading more from this author.
I gotta say the full trilogy was awesome nevertheless I think this book was kind of slowish in the sense of action.. you read so fast bc the story keeps you guessing what’s gonna happen yet.. I felt like book 2 and 1 had more action/ mystery than this one… specially since oliva nada a comeback. Until chapter 27 things really start to get more action wise and more mystery… well after Brady’s death tbh. Loved the moments with drake and Evangeline 🤍✨ my babies and I love how Gigi was show vulnerable but yet somehow a strong character.. she didn’t loose her bravado even when she felt like she was about to die… also I totally hate Nolan in book 1/2 but his lines after Brady died make me laugh so I’ll give him that. Would like to know more about Cole tbh apart from drake and vaugh he seem interest. Love how Anya was loyal to oliva and became her true friend at the end.. would have like to see more of Felicia tbh too. The whole trilogy was a rollercoaster of emotions! Love it will probably re- read bc this was just great. One of my top reads of 2022 so far
Yes finally got the closure that I needed from this series! It’s been a wild ride. The story picks up after that explosive cliffhanger from the second book. This book is emotionally heavy. Our main characters can’t seem to take a break especially Gigi. My heart goes out to her with all that she’s been through and yet people are still nasty towards her. I just gotta admire her strength. Not sure if I’ll be able to handle what she had to go through in this book. I was just so glad that this book had a happy ending for her. All the secrets and the mystery will be revealed in the end. Though I am conflicted about how it was all resolved because I felt like Gigi had through go all that for nothing. At least the good thing that did came out if it was that she got to cross paths with Drake and finally found someone who would fight for her. Overall, this was a good conclusion to the series.
Thank you to Book Sirens and the author, Ashley Gee, for providing a copy of Cry Havoc (Vengeance is Mine book 3). I have reviewed honestly.
Cry Havoc features, but is not limited to, the following themes: ○ New adult ○ Dark romance ○ Bully romance ○ Boarding school ○ Enemies to lovers ○ Billionaire ○ Completed series ○ Triggers: mentions of rape and sexual assault, bullying, drugging and assault
My overall rating for Cry Havoc is…
4 Stars!
What a powerful and painful finale! Cry Havoc takes off where we left book 2 at that shocking cliffhanger and was an exhilarating rollercoaster from there on in. The emotions Gee brought out in me were raw and real. The build up constructed over the series came crashing down in a tidal wave of intangible excitement that I couldn't get enough of. The plot took to a wicked curveball all with unexpected twists I didn't see coming. Overall, a well written and surprising series finale.
I don't often write reviews but this time I felt compelled to. I read the first two books in the trilogy and absolutely loved them both receiving ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️'s. However when it came to the third book I wasn't as impressed. The writing was slopier (words missing or extra words added making no sense) and it felt rushed. I don't know if extending the story into a fourth book would have been better or worse. It felt like the author was almost running out of time/pages in the book and was rushing to get all these different pointa across that it just didnt work out in the end. Hopefully that makes sense?
My rating scale is as follows:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Could not put it down! Will definitely re-read in the future.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Great book! Definitely enjoyed reading it, but once was enough.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ - (the rating for this book) Neither loved or hated the book.
⭐️⭐️ - Barely finished the book was incredibly difficult to finish.
Okay so the finale was okay. I really liked these characters and the overall story. So much drama! So many twists! I thought I knew what was coming and then BAM! Something else would happen completely out of nowhere.
I had two issues with this final book:
1. The typos. I said it in the other two and this book had them too. There’s just a lot.
2. Gigi: I just feel like between book 1 and this one, she forgot she was a badass or something? She was so strong in the first book and this one she was just sinking so small and trying to fade in the background. It just didn’t seem like the same character.
I’m trying not to give away any spoilers here, so I know why she felt intimidated and I understand how that could make someone shrink, but she was like the ultimate badass. What happened? It just felt inconsistent.
Overall, I thought the series was good. It kept my interest, and the plot was interesting.
The final chapter of Evangeline and Drake and what an end! Since the beginning of the book I have been glued to the pages. When I already believed that Havoc House couldn’t surprise me more… BAM! They reach new limits of evil. And Olivia coming back after her coma? Instead of thanking Evangeline for embarking on a crusade to avenge her for what happened the previous year, she treats her badly and tries by all means to get her to leave St. Barts. Drake and Evangeline go through everything together although a lie from Drake causes them to go through bad times. The ending is fast-faced and what I like the most has managed to leave me 😮😮, since although some things you expected it, the author is capable of gaining some final surprise. I ❤️it from the beginning, from pretty to kinky to twisted. It’s a story and characters that hooked you. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏BRAVO!
Wow what a way to end this series! I enjoyed all of the books and felt that this was a wonderful ending. There were a couple spelling and grammatical errors that really took away my attention as I was reading. But otherwise I really enjoyed the series and loved where are the characters ended up! I want to be really careful and not give away any spoilers. But it seem to me that Evangeline changed so much from book one to this last book. And not in a bad way it’s just that she lost some of her edge. I feel like she took a lot of abuse in this book that she wouldn’t have in the first book. But saying that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the story or how it developed it was just some thing I noticed as the series went on. I was very surprised at who the hero of the story ended up being.
After reading book 2 and seeing book 3 be only 270 pages I was like... how are they going to wrap this shitstorm up in that little amount of time. And when I tell y'all that it got wrapped up in just the last 50 pages... those 50 pages consisted of some of the craziest shit I have ever read in my entire life. I was going to give this book 3 stars because of how slow it was in the beginning but girl... Ashley Gee said hold my beer.
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I am still not convinced Olivia and Drake actually like each other... but I think it's just because the other shit took precedence over the romance and I honestly loved that about the book. And also I wanted to strangle every single character at one point or another. Do yourself a favor and read this series!! Super quick and suspenseful read.
Cry Havoc by Ashley Gee is the third book in the Vengeance is Mine trilogy and picks up where book #2, Have Mercy, left off. The story continues with Evangeline and Drake who are now out in the open about their relationship. If you haven't read the first two books in this trilogy then I recommend reading those prior to starting this book as there are so many answers revealed in this book as well as plot twists and turns you never see coming. Overall a great ending to a great trilogy. I loved seeing how the relationship between Evie and Drake evolved, how they went from enemies-to-lovers to having an all-loving, all-consuming, deep and passionate love connection. These two were sizzling together to the point where you can feel the heat seeping through the pages. Suspenseful, steamy, gripping, raw and gritty, this book was a great conclusion to the series.
Yay! Finally the finale! This was a great ending to an awesome story. I loved this series. The headstrong and stubborn heroine seeking answers and justice for her sister. Lots of twists and turns along the way. The bad boy who grows to love the girl who is just as damaged and tainted as he is. Together they wade through danger in search of the truth although all the odds are stacked against them. Knocked down repeatedly, they never give up. So much mystery and intrigue that keep the pages turning. Secrets are unveiled but not all is revealed, so I hope to see Olivia's story in the future for those answers. Great read with a happy ending!

I loved this series!!! I was super excited for each book and this one was amazing!! Nothing was rushed out to get to the end. It all panned out perfectly from beginning to end. This is the third book in this series so you will need to read the first two so you get the whole story!! When book two left off that cliffhanger was like WOW and WTF!!!
Drake and Evangeline are amazing together. I loved their struggle with their own personal issues. They fought hard for what the wanted and definitely fought for each other. This plot was amazing, exciting and kept me on my toes!! I'm not giving anything away as to who did what and why. It's just too good to give anything away!!

I absolutely loved this series. I devoured each book so quickly. This is the third book in the series so you’ll have to read the first two books to understand what’s going on.
Drake & Gigi’s love story is crazy, wild, but also beautiful. They had to fight for what they wanted and they also fought for each other.
The plot definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. I don’t want to give anything away as to who did what and why. This series is so good to give anything away.
I am really looking forward to more books from this author. I really hope this author writes more books about secondary characters in this series.
