Jennifer Wilson moves home to Pawley Island, South Carolina, a tiny historic beach town.
A death in the family and a broken engagement are a reality check for Jennifer. Once upon a time she promised herself she would never leave this charming little town, but a relationship led her to the big city and life got away. She’s back and it’s time for life to slow down…or so she thinks.
Jennifer’s world is turned upside down when a new love interest, Peter, shows up at her beachside cafe. Jennifer knows she’s not ready for love, but Peter is a charmer and one date seems harmless. Little did she know that this date would change her for the better and worse…
Peter plans a date to Stargaze Island, a small island off the coast that hosts the best stargazing in North America. The sun sets and the two are off ready for a romantic evening together. Jennifer and Peter arrive at the island and the blanket barely hits the ground before something doesn’t feel right on the island. What they discover will lead them on an unforgettable journey.
The journey is one of adventure, love, friendship, and second chances at life.
Stargaze Island is a touching feel-good beach novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat and fill your heart with warmth and love.

Just as Pete and Jennifer's relationship is heating up his ex is still bothering Jen but numerous people hear her threaten and her mom and Sallie so they both get a restraining order for her and then Pete talks to her and she finally grows up because she doesn't bother Jen anymore. David. Jennifer's ex come back into her life because his mom is dying and he also wants her back so now anx Pete and her are fighting but when the hurricane starts to look like it's going to hit Pete rush's to the restaurant to see Jennifer and then they see David so they have to protect him too so when they get to the house the boys actually work together to put up the remaining plywood on the Windows and then they go into have soup and the lights go out. What I love about this story is Pete's gentleness and gentlemanly ways especially asking her for a kiss instead of taking it but we have to see of they will make it.

This second book in the series was better than the first. You got to know Jennifer and Pete better as well as their exes! It started on Stargaze Island where the first book left off but it keeps you wondering who is on the island. The drama with David, Jennifer's ex fiance and Tiffany, Pete's old girlfriend keeps you wondering if Jennifer will stay with Pete or go back to David. The cliffhanger at the end is a hurricane approaching the island and leaves you at the edge of your seat. I read through this book in a day and couldn't wait for the next one. Coral Harper is a great writer whose work is very absorbing and easy to read. I received this book as an ARC from the author for an honest review
This book picks up exactly where the first one left off. Peter and Jennifer are on the island and petrified. After returning to Pawley's Island, Jennifer is trying to figure out who was on Stargaze Island and why. Meanwhile both of their exes make unwelcome appearances along with a possible hurricane. David, Jennifer's ex is obnoxious! Tiffany, Peter's ex is scary! And the storm is unpredictable, but leaves them stranded together on Pawley's Island with no escape. Will they all survive? These are quick reads but they pack quite a punch. Can't wait for the next one! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was lucky enough to read and review an ARC of Stargaze Island book 2. I must say this kept me on the edge of my seat as much, if not more, than book 1 did! Jennifer and her mom have been dealing with a stalker. To top it off, Jennifer's world has become very complicated with a past flame and a current flame both vying for her attention. Just when things couldn't get any more intense, the small island must hunker down for a big hurricane headed their way! You definitely will not want to put this down once you start reading it! It definitely left me wanting more. I can't wait to read book 3!
Only read this one if you have read the first book. Each book is a continuation of the previous book.
The characters are strong, well developed and you find them easy to relate to. The story pulls you in and holds you as you turn each page. Small town life and romance, and ex flame and a current flame and a hurricane keep you turning the pages to find out what will happen. A quick, enjoyable read to escape everyday life for a short time.

I am really enjoying this series. The romance between Jennifer and Pete was going smoothly until his crazy ex-girlfriend, Tiffany showed up. It was also very suspenseful with the approaching hurricane aimed right for Pawleys Island. I cannot wait to read the next book to find out more about the crazy ex-girlfriend and the hurricane. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
The mystery of the man living in Stargaze continues unresolved and having a hurricane coming their way, it would remain like that for a while. When David, Jennifer’s ex, appears on the island everything starts falling down for Pete, as he believes they are still together. It is better not to jump to conclusions without checking if they are true. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Jennifer and Peter's relationship is getting off to a rocky start. First, Peter's ex, and now Jennifer's ex. With the island mystery in her mind, Jennifer is set to figure it out. Now, with a force of nature in the mix, what will happen after the lights went out? I like the cliffhangers. Ms. Harper does a great job creating a world of twists and turns. I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of this book from the author but the thoughts are truly my own. Cannot wait for book three!
Tiffany tries to wreck havoc between Jennifer and Pete. David comes to tell Jennifer his mother is dying in a plea to win her back. Meanwhile a hurricane is on it’s way. The second installment of the series with a lot packed into it. Coral Harper writes wonderful books, that leave the reader wanting more.
I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
As Pete and Jennifer are develop their relationship they discover some thing about each other. In their moment of being afraid on Stargaze Island Pete was calm and strong and Jennifer was calm and self reliant. The appreciated each other. They shared their first kiss.
These books are good, but I think it's misleading to stop the book in the middle of an intense scene and you have to buy another book to find out what happens. Most series that I have read, each book could stand alone. Granted, the books aren't expensive; but by the time you finish the last book, you have spent enough.
Wonderful characters with interesting dialogue and good interaction. Entertaining and interesting story with some twists and turns and plenty of drama thrown in. Good read.

Set aside two hours for this family-friendly second installment of the South Carolina Skies series by Coral Harper which has a summer storm brewing off Africa.

This is a good super short story that ends abruptly until the next in the series. This series has 6 novellas in all to finish the full story. This is a clean romance.
As Jennifer is figuring out if it is worth it to continue dating Pete because of his ex, her ex arrives because his mother is sick. It is nice to see the support of the community and even though they offer her advice, they let her figure things out herself. Things are looking pretty good and then the weather station says there is a hurricane heading their way. We see Jennifer jump into action because neither Pete nor her ex has ever experienced a hurricane. As she is almost done getting things done, the lights go out. I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.
