Cruise Control: A Gay BDSM Adventure

Rate this book
Alex’s rich older lover has abandoned him, and his Broadway career is going about as well as his sex life, but when he passes the audition to star in a cruise ship production of the season’s hottest show, Pride, it seems like his fortunes have changed. Six months performing in paradise ought to be just the tonic for a hard-partying chorus boy to rebuild his self-esteem, but then he meets Luke, and a single night of sex and submission turns into a mutual love and loathing that will change the two men’s lives forever. Arrogant, aloof, and devastatingly handsome, the cruise ship’s First Officer also happens to be exactly the kind of powerful alpha male Alex yearns to submit to. And despite Luke’s opinion of the frivolous airheads who work in entertainment, there’s something about the bratty younger man he can’t resist. Do opposites really attract, and can either man overcome his pride long enough to accept the truth of the feelings they have for one another? A conniving junior Officer, a chorus of Broadway divas, and a modest amount of kinky sex and kidnap in the beautiful Bahamas form the backdrop to this steamy Queer retelling of Pride and Prejudice.

This had the potential to be a 5 star book for me. I LOVED 90% of it.

There were a number of errors with quotations in the wrong place which drove me crazy, and a few places were characters names were misused...also drove me nuts. The whole thing at the end with the storm, Mark, Taylor, Luke, Alex, Stacie, Thad dragged on WAY too long for my liking.

Luke annoyed the fuck out of me at points, but I think it was crucial to his character, so I didn't take points away for that.

Overall, excellent book. I highly recommend. I love this author.
