My Alien Baby

♥♥Ivory Bellows fell down a well. Ivory Bellows woke up in hell. Better listen to the big blue giant, zip your lip, and hush. Better not stare at his son who makes you blush.♥♥

The Raza are a people full of honor, faith, and family. Especially Havak of the Jaha clan. His first yun is of his heart, not his blood. But when his mate dies and his beloved yun goes off into the world to study other people and languages, the Creators give him a second chance at life. He happens upon a strange little yun of a species unlike anything he’s ever seen.

A strange, five-fingered species.

When the yun wakes and screams, he gives her a bub-bub, wraps her in a pu-pu, and packs her in his sket to bring home.

His huge heart is filled with love for his second adopted yun.

♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥

Ivory Bellows wakes up in a strange land filled with blue giants. They threaten her in their strange language, shove a plug in her mouth to keep her quiet and take her home to fatten her up. And marinate her. They must marinate her when she sleeps, because she’s swollen and always needs to pee.

Oh, God. She’s dinner. It’s only a matter of time until they decide when.

But when a hot new alien arrives, the only way she can keep sane is to pretend he’s her husband and she’s his wife and everything is hunky-dory fine.

Thank God this new arrival, Iik, doesn’t know her language.

Ivy after falling down a well and climbing inside a strange pod wakes to a world of giants. When she’s adopted by two of these strange creatures her life changes a language barrier and the fact they believe she’s a baby then makes for a hilarious read. This was so bloody weird but also really funny this is probably one of the strangest alien-type romances I’ve experienced to date. It’s more focused on Ivy and her new family after they find and adopt her mistakenly thinking her an infant because of her small stature. The romance bit of this was a small part and again felt really weird and random.

I actually mostly enjoyed this but it definitely wasn’t perfect and did feel at times a bit choppy and disordered. If you take this in the spirit it’s intended and don’t take it too seriously it’s a fun read.

FUNNIEST BOOK EVER

Ivory aka Ivy wakes to a giant male who thinks he has found a discarded baby. The poor thing has no sharp teeth, soft smooth skin, and silky hair on her head, no way to defend itself from predators. So of course Pa'ma (daddy) takes her home cue the hysterical laughter.

Rena Marks out did herself with this story and I can't wait to read the next book. I hope every alien loving bookworm will pick up this divine comedy because our world needs the laughter to make life better.

Thank you Rena Marks for the best story I've read in a long time!

Unusual, and highly entertaining!
What a scary situation this is for Ivory! I think she’s wise to play it safe until she has time to assess the situation. Some of the misunderstandings are hilarious, but these two giant, blue aliens soon work their way into my heart - and Ivory’s. It makes you wonder, though, how often we judge people based on our culture, not understanding that ‘different’ doesn’t mean ‘defective.’ Pa’ma and Da’ma, however, have nothing but love to offer this unusual being they have discovered.
This is a delightful story, with intriguing characters, a sweet romance, and plenty of laughter! You’ll get a kick out of it!

I liked it.
Just felt kind of weirded out by some stuff. I feel like ivory was way to into being treated like a baby. Also thought it was weird how the parents were so accepting that there son and daughter were mated. I wish the story had lead to her talking to the parents and letting them know she was an adult, it felt kind of cruel and weird that she kept pretending even though she could have told them the truth.

This book was awesome! The World building and culture is very interesting. I love the relationship that develops between all the different characters.
I had found this after looking for a book after "Beyond The Next Star". I loved how he got a pet in that book to deal with his stress/PTSD and it stressed him out even more, and was looking for something similar (Happy to take recommendations). While this story isn't necessarily similar it was witty and funny and I just couldn't put it down.
The romance for the heroin doesn't start until about half to three quarters of the way through the book, but there's a nice bit of steam and connection when it does happen. And even though that romance takes a little bit to start everything up until then is just so enjoyable. Highly recommend!

So funny

This was hilarious and refreshing. No domineering Alpha male, no poor heroin overcoming her male counterpart asswipe behavior only to have to forgive his transgressions because he's supposed to be "The One".... Or worse she accepts the treatment of being second class to him because afterall "she's a woman/female" therefore must concede and be grateful for the male to "claim her". Thank you for a wonderful and healthy well-balanced hero and heroin with great humor and hot romance. Loved it! I highly recommend this read. If you prefer the aforementioned "asswipe"hero or/and with a weakwilled-door mat of a heroine , this is not for you.

This book is AMAZING!!!

I love the FMC and the MMC, but let me tell you: Pa'ma and Da'ma are the true shining stars of this book!!! I've always thought that if I were abducted and woke up on an alien planet, I'd want to be rescued by a dashing alien male, but forget that: now, I want to be adopted by a couple of sweet giants!!!

This book is not on KU, but I'm very glad I took a chance on Rena and bought it. I will now go read as many of her books as I can! My Alien Baby has also officially made its way onto my yearly re-read list!

I strongly recommend you give this book a try: you won't regret it.

This book was laugh-out-loud funny. Seriously, I got caught left and right losing my mind in public, I was dying.

Ivory (Ivy) is the poor, hapless victim of time-travel gone wrong. She’s also the more subjective ‘victim’ of two well-meaning aliens who absolutely adore her and don’t understand that this precious, innocent, tiny little ‘baby’ isn’t actually a baby.

There’s a love match at the end and it’s good, but everything leading up to it is priceless!

This read is gem and I’m shamelessly recommending it to everyone left, right, and center.

Hilarious alien baby mix up

This story was hilarious, sweet and a good doze of romance. Ivory accidentally enters a space pod and ends up on a different planet with huge males called the Raza. They think she's a baby due to her small size and they treat her as such - causing many hilarious moments due to the language problems. Iik is another alien adopted by the Raza couple and he sees Ivory for what she really is. But how do you go from being a baby to a young woman on a strange planet?
This book had me laughing out loud many times and I can't wait for the next one.

I laughed so hard!!

I absolutely love this book! I laughed so hard in so many places because there were so many instance where the Raza were trearing her as a child and it mirroree what humans do to babies!! To imagine that my kids were reacting in the same way on the inside!! Priceless! Great world building, with different aliens and a human who who had to learn about everything the hard way. Being the wifey and all was hilarious ans loved how even the hero was taller than thr human! Definitely has a high re read value!!

My Favourite Rena Marks Story

I picked this book up on a sale and fell in love with it. It’s crazy. It’s ridiculous. It’s lighthearted and a lot of fun. I’ve read it at least three times and I keep hoping that she writes the next book she hinted at. Especially if it’s as fun as this one is. Definitely 5 stars from me.

⭐ 3.5 Rounded Up

This book was absolutely ridiculous and I loved it lol. The world-building, dialogue, character development, and humor alone made this a 3.5 to 4-star read for me and such a fun way to spend the better part of a day lazing about between it's pages!

Language Barrier tropes are one of my favorites in the sci-fi romance space, and this short book truly delivered. Human Ivory--which our beloved found-family refer to as "Ivy" because they can't fully pronounce her name--is unexpectedly transported to an alien planet in the future. She's discovered by a 15-foot-tall blue alien named Havak who scoops her up out of her damaged space pod and brings her home to care for her as his own. Just one problem: she wakes and believes she's about to be either his next meal or his human slave, and he believes she's a helpless little baby who needs caring for. This means diapers, bottles, burping, baths, high chairs; the works LOL. I giggled my way through this whole silly ass story and fell in love with the Raza people along the way.

The Raza are a race of aliens who only have one sex among them--male. Havak declares himself Ivy's pa'ma (father), his long-time best friend Urmor agrees to be her da'ma (mother), and the two of them became instant stars of the book. I especially enjoyed watching them sputter and fumble about trying to deny their love for one another. They've raised a child together before, another species of alien they previously adopted who becomes our FMC's love interest, and the dynamic between them was adorable.

My only critiques are that the pace of the first half of the book felt very slow (we don't meet the MMC until roughly 43% into the story), and I'm not a fan of insta-love so the relationship between the FMC and MMC felt rushed. I wished our MMC entered the picture sooner so the pair had time to develop an emotional connection that felt a bit more believable. But who am I kidding: this whole thing already takes place on an alien planet. That aside, I still had a fantastic time with this story and wish I had a pa'ma and da'ma of my own; so damn cute 🥹

If you're looking for a hilariously silly palette cleanser that's well-written and doesn't take itself too seriously, I highly recommend this book!

*3.5* This has to be the weirdest alien romance book I have ever read.

Woman falls down into well, she crawls into an oddly shaped warm pod-thing and wakes up on an alien planet many years in the future. She is adopted by two (gay but not in a relationship) 15 foot, bald, blue aliens (Pa’ma & Da’ma) who assume she is a baby because she is in a pod and is tiny.

The aliens on this planet are very childlike and innocent. Between the language barrier and cultural differences, this book is wildly unique.

Then he strings a pile of gold, glittery stuff over the edge, spilling onto the windowsill. It honestly looks like the pot barfed glitter. It appears I was left behind with the alien who has hooker taste.

Adult human women/baby for aliens
Sci-fi straight romance
Side gay romance
A society with no females
Lots of potty humor
Insta-love
Bizarrely unique

The love interest isn’t her adopted dads, but it is someone close to them. The book does not become a romance until well past the 50% mark.

Overall, this was a light, cutesy, human woman on an alien planet, insta-love romance book that wins first place for the most over-the-top story I have read in a very, very long time. I wish this story had been a little less goofy, but I still enjoyed my time reading it.

Thank you Cyn for the recommendation!

Strong Originally

As with all sci-fi, the entry into a new world has all the feels. The originality of the beginning story plot has you quirking you lips with laughter. But unlike other books, it does not jump immediately into the main events, but marinates in this crazy adorable world. It keeps you puzzled, but intrigued. I wanted to do a head smack with the heroine a few times, with a big “duh!” In a highly stressful experience things are bound to be misinterpreted. A fast paced love, of instant mates, feels lacking in length and detail after the big build up, but it’s a good hea. If you enjoy world building with adorable humor, this book is for you. If you want heat or strong romance, you may not prefer this title.

First half had me cackling on every page. The second half was romance, and actually addressed her mental state (or to say that the H actually considered it, and she was the one to come onto him). romance had a medium quick burn. Can't blame her when he was the first to treat her like an adult in a good while. H was respectable, and it didn't feel like a Stockholm syndrome extravaganza (like every other book in the sf/r category).
I will note that it was a complete tonal shift, which I didn't hate. First half was antics and humor using the different perspectives, then BAM! Romance, and the humor toned down.
I will definitely check these author's other books.

Laugh your a** off funny

This was one of the funniest books I've read in a long time. Ivory lands in the lap of a sweet clueless giant that's determined to take care of the baby he found in the woods. Add to that the alcoholic smoothies she is fed daily and you get a hilarious charming story. No a typical romance, nope this one includes baby hangovers, uncontrollable diarrhea, potty training etc... If you're looking for something a little trashy and a whole lot of funny, here you go.

This was adorable and super funny. I liked how we got multiple POVs so we understood all the hilarious misunderstandings that were going on.
When Ivory "Ivy" gets rescued by an alien giant, she has no idea that he thinks that she's a baby.

Her adopted "brother" Iik didn't know what to make of Ivy at first...he though she was a scammer. Everything gets sorted out eventually and the epilogue was great.

Best story of the year!

This story was one incredible ride of emotions! You begin with laughing so hard your side will hurt. The craziness put in this story is amazing. But, then when you get to this certain part of the story, it’s tissue time, the tears flow!
I truly loved this story, it should get book of the year award! I hope there will be a second book to this story.
