Book has attempted to provide detailed guidelines for simulation of various structural engineering problems in STAAD.Pro.The topic includes Earthquake resistant design, Wind analysis, Foundation for vibrating machines and Limit state design of Steel structure using IS 800. The subject matter has been presented in simple and legible style so that it is accessible to every user. The author here emphasis on two terms "WHY" and "HOW". Narrowing the gap between these two terms will give better insight of the subject. Keeping this aspect in mind the word "WHY" is addressed in the book by covering the general concept of each topics. The requirement "HOW" is complied using STAAD examples to demonstrate the application of analytical and design part. Although the book is based on IS code, however reference has been made to code of practice like NZS code, ACI code, Eurocode, etc wherever required. The book also contains provisions that cater to the requirement of clauses of IS 1893 Part 1:2016 (with special emphasis on irregularity clause) & IS 13920 and illustrates their use through a detailed numerical examples using STAAD.Pro CE 22 edition. Advanced analysis like the Time history analysis for forcing function as well as for ground motion and Gust factor method for along wind response etc are also included in the book.

Very good explanation given with illustration and example . I would recommend to all structural engineer to read at least once
