Ranger Redemption by Elle James
Brotherhood Protectors: Colorado book 3. A spin-off of the Montana series. Contemporary romantic suspense. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of this series simply because the couples in the first two books are present in this story. Bodyguard troupe.

Emily has a stalker so for his first assignment, Cage will be her bodyguard. A rose in her locked car. A gift left in her locked apartment. A building spray painted for her attention. Cage will be with Emily and protect her if they can just figure out who it is.

Fast moving, fast loving. Instant attraction that turns to more while the danger escalates.
Ex-Military appreciation with sentiment for a fallen friend and dealing with PTSD.
Romantic suspense for the win.

Sadly, another story about a book smart yet no common sense heroine. As soon as she wanted to leave her family/the protectors to go be alone/isolated after her stalker followed/left her a message, I was done. The book had a good start, but then I quickly grew bored with the writing, plot, and characters. Nothing new/different here.

Gunny’s three girls all find themselves in a spot of trouble. It is a good thing that the Brotherhood Protectors in Colorado are housing themselves on Gunny’s ranch. Emily’s mother died while she was in high school and Gunny stepped up to make sure she had a home. Along with Gunny’s daughter RJ , and JoJo whose parents also passed while she was in high school these girls are sisters of the heart versus blood.

Growing up in Colorado Springs, Emily saw the need for working alongside men and women who have served our country. She is a therapist that helps them reacquaint themselves into civilian life after serving our country. She leaves work and discovers her locked car has a red rose on the passenger seat. The note attached says: Roses are red. A tad freaked by this she heads for the ranch. Her car was locked in the parking garage. Gunny drilled safety into all the girls. Deciding maybe a couple of days at the ranch is a good idea with the grand opening of the protectors this weekend, Emily bunks down for the night.

Cage accepted Jake and Hank’s offer to be apart of the Colorado Brotherhood Protectors. He starts tomorrow. Today he stops by the ranch after his marathon race on Pike’s Peak with his best friend Ryan. His body is sore from the elevation and run. A few charley horses in his legs puts him in Emily’s capable hands. Tomorrow Emily and Cage will drive into Colorado Springs and pick up some clothes for Emily. Once at her apartment Cage determines someone broke in. The lock was engaged and her clothes have been pawed at. The note Violets are blue is found. Now Emily really feels uncomfortable. Where is she suppose to feel safe. Assuming one of her patients may be teetering close to an edge she and Swede’s computers help her look closer at her files.

As the third book in this series these romances move quickly. The saying: You know when you know, is very true here. This book I felt did a great job at getting Emily and Cage into the friends mode before the attraction mode started. These men and women with limps, however received do not slow them down to help themselves or those they are falling in love with.

This book opens as Cage Weaver reaches the summit of Pike's Peak, a marathon run he was going to do with his best friend Ryan Meyers. On this day he was running it alone with Ryan's ashes in his backpack. He was going to release them there but there were too many people around to do so. He would complete the marathon with his buddy today and at a later date would say that final goodbye. He would begin his new job with the Brotherhood Protectors tomorrow a new start using the skills the Army honed in him.

Emily Strayhorn is a therapist at the VA, her patients mostly have PTSD and she has both group and private sessions. We learn how her relationship with Gunny and RJ came to be as she's preparing to leave for the day. Her plan is to have dinner with them, she gets a surprise at her car though. Inside her locked car is a red rose, while that is creepy in itself, it gets worse later with a phone call with just a phrase.

Cage is moving in at the lodge and is helping get dinner on the table when he meets Emily. Unfortunately he scares her since he was chasing a roll under the table when she entered the room. She does relax when she realizes he's the new guy though. I really love the dinner scenes, everyone is family and it really shows.

The next morning things have already escalated with graffiti painted on the outside of the Watering Hole. Emily is more than a little upset, and doesn't want to bring trouble to Gunny and RJ. The thing is she's safest on the ranch. That's not all though and they do involve the police.

Cage is going to stick with her 24/7 even with her patients, one of whom just might be the stalker. Where they stay on the ranch is very interesting, intimate and not very accessible.

There's lots of hold your breath action in this one, and I love the way the relationship between Emily and Cage grows from simmer to sizzle.

I've already started the next book, I am loving this new branch of Brotherhood Protectors.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This is the third installment to this spin-off series of the Brotherhood Protectors Colorado. While it is a part of a series, and the prior two couples are mentioned throughout the story, you really don't have to read them to understand and enjoy this one. I would highly recommend it though as they are great stories themselves.

This book is written in a dual POV format. That really helps me to connect to the characters and understand their actions and conversations so much better that way.

I could have almost cried within just the first few pages. This author does a fantastic job of making me a part of the story. My emotions were all over the roller coaster ride of this story. The plot flowed beautifully and the suspense was almost to the point that I wanted to read the back to see who the stalker was (but I refrained!)

Cole is a new hire with the Brotherhood. He meets Emily at the lodge the day before his start date. Emily has just gotten a scare. After working with veterans at the local VA hospital, she discovers a rose in her locked car! When she gets ready to head to the ranch that her friend (RJ) and Gunny (RJ's dad) owns she received a message from the person who left the rose. Poor Emily she is now skittish and her friends tell her that Cole will be her bodyguard and will lead the investigation as to who it is.

The events that the stalker puts Emily through would have put me away (yep, I think I also need Cole!!!) This is a slightly spicy read. I would only recommend this to someone over the age of 18. If you love a wonderfully written suspenseful romance featuring a retired Army Ranger (and really who wouldn't?!?!?!?!), then I would highly recommend this book and author. You won't regret it.

Cage Weaver, a retired Army Ranger, was recently hired to work the Colorado Branch of The Brotherhood Protectors. He’s just arrived to Colorado in time to complete the Pike Peak’s Marathon—one he and his best friend and former Army buddy vowed to complete together. Only his “brother” didn’t make it home. Cage runs the marathon, but when he reaches the peak he can’t quite let his brother go. He returns to base to begin his job. HIs first assignment...protecting Emily from a stalker.

Emily Strayhorn, a certified psychologist, works at the VA with service men and women who suffer with PTSD and sexual assault while enlisted. Emily grew up on the ranch with RJ, Gunny, and Jojo as her “family” after her parents were killed. Emily recently moved into town, closer to the VA and her job. But now, she’s receiving “gifts” from a stalker. Emily is forced back to the safety of the ranch and assigned a bodyguard—Cage.

This is the third novel in the Brotherhood Protectors Colorado series. It also marks the grand opening of The Brotherhood Protectors in Colorado. It was nice to have appearances of some of the previous Brotherhood Protectors at the grand opening. If insta-love, romantic suspense is what you’re looking for, this is a series/novel for you. I truly didn’t know who the stalker was until the last chapter! The ending was creepy, but Elle James does give you a HEA. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Ranger Redemption: Brotherhood Protectors Colorado: book 3 is by Elle James. Very good, short, exciting book with clean romance. Takes place on a dude ranch, The Lost Valley Ranch, near Fool’s Gold, Colorado near Colorado Springs. Ranch is owned by Gunny Tate; but basement of inn is rented by Brotherhood Protectors Colorado unit. They help Gunny with chores and The Watering Hole when not busy. Unit is just being formed with this series.
Army Ranger Cage Weaver has stopped on his way for an interview for the Brotherhood Protectors. His best friend Ryan was killed and Cage could no longer face being an Army Ranger without him. They had planned to run the Pikes Peak marathon, get married, have children, live next to each other and live out their lives together. Promised Ryan to run the marathon and spread his ashes from the top of Pikes Peak. He was unable to spread the ashes due to number of tourists. Finishes race and heads to ranch for an interview with Brotherhood where he meets Emily Strahorn. Emily is a therapist for the VA, specializing in survivor’s guilt and sexual assault. She is being stalked. Cage is assigned to protect her. Can they find her stalker before he becomes a murderer?

"Who needs the government when you have the Brotherhood Protectors?" How apt a quote! In Book 3 Ranger's Redemption ( The Brotherhood Protector's Colorado) by Elle James, we meet the newest Protector in the Colorado branch, a former Army Ranger named Cage. He is thrust into work protection mode immediately when Emily, a therapist for soldiers with forms of PTSD, is stalked and her home broken into. Corresponding with the poem "Roses are red..." , the attacks and "surprises" left for Emily spiral, and possibly threaten everyone around her. Cage is the logical one to stand by her side. The two of them find themselves giving in to their attraction while playing a deadly game of hide and seek with her stalker. Can she find out who it is before it is too late? Can he let go of his past in order to embrace his future? Find out!!! This book is a fun romp with two likable characters and a great surprise visit by Hank, our favorite head of the Brotherhood Protectors. Read and enjoy. I received an ARC copy to review.

Cage has just started with the Brotherhood Protectors after finishing a promise to a fallen buddy. Now he is ready to take on his first assignment which comes in the form of a redhead named Emily. Emily is like a daughter to Gunny and a sister to RJ and JoJo, Gunny's girls, well now they are women who have been friends for a while and RJ and JoJo have found the loves of their lives and Emily is feeling a bit left out but happy for her friends. She soon finds out that she too will find love but first Cage and the Brotherhood Protectors need to find her stalker before it's too late.

I love this new series. It has a lot of the same elements that the first series does but this one takes place in Colorado. Ms. James writes with such description that I can almost feel the chill in the air and smell the clean mountain air she writes about. Gunny is a wonderful character and you can see the strong connection the three women have through the pages of the book. I can't wait to see what cases come up in Colorado next. I am hoping that there will be a dog like Six in this series.

I struggled on whether or not to round up, but decided on a smooth three stars. The writing was excellent. It was a very sweet and slow burn romance between Emily and cage. I really love the damsel in distress story line—pair that with body guard for hire and it’s pretty much sure fire that I’ll be reading it.
This book was extremely mild on spice, opting for more tasteful scenes rather that 💦💦💦 scenes 😂 which is fine with me.

Here is where it fell short for me. The end was incredibly rushed. After all of this build up, she snap crackle pops that ending within four pages. I didn’t care that it was predictable I didn’t care that it was more sweet than spicy, but I think there could’ve been more. The epilogue was legit one page and though it was short and sweet, there could’ve been more detail or maybe a little deeper of a dive into Cage’s emotion having to release his friends ashes. Idk. I’m a sucker for romantic suspense and bodyguard anything so if you’re in the mood for a quick and easy read, this will scratch that itch.

We are back in Colorado with the newly formed division of the Brotherhood Protectors. A group of former military men dedicated to protect those in need.
The latest addition to the group is former Army Ranger Cage Weaver.
After losing his best friend, he chose to leave the military and is now given his first assignment, protecting mental health therapist Emily Strayhorn.
From the moment he meets her, he’s enchanted by her beauty and her inner strength.
As he protects her against a stalker who keeps on escalating the danger, these two develop feelings neither wanted or expected.
Will they be able to overcome the danger and find their HEA? As we wait to find out, we get a chance of spending time not only with characters from previous stories in this series, but also with members of the original series based in Montana.
Another entertaining story by this author.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Emily Strayhorn is a therapist at the VA hospital who treats past and present military members suffering from PTSD. When some strange things start happening Emily suspects she has a stalker. Since she is considered part of RJ and Gunny Tate's family at The Lost Valley Ranch where the Colorado division of the Brotherhood Protectors now has their headquarters she is talked into allowing a bodyguard to be with her for protection just in case this stalker tries to hurt her. Brand new Brotherhood Protector Case Weaver is assigned the job. Keeping Emily by his side is not the least bit tough. They are attracted to each other. I really liked this storyline. This stalker was very creative and smart. That made the situation really scary. The suspense and the action made this latest addition to author Elle james' Brotherhood Protectors of Colorado series a real page-turner.

I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

'I'm sticking to you like glue'

We all love the Brotherhood Protectors, but those in Colorado remind us of where it all began....they are family, not only by choice, by shared experiences and by acceptance. Cage and Emily are perfect for each other, they both doubt their own self worth, but see the best in others, they may be a little damaged but they are far from broken. They have both had losses but that just helps them understand each other better and makes them more determined to hold on to the love they have found. I really like this spin off series and hope it continues as long as the original Brotherhood Protectors have, we get two new Protectors arrive in this book, so the future is looking good!
There was one minor hiccup when Cage became Case for a moment but other than that this is an excellent, fast paced, intriguing book.

Cage Weaver, former Army Ranger and newest member of Brotherhood Protectors Colorado Division, has one pressing priority. That’s before he meets Dr. Emily Strayhorn, psychologist at the VA hospital working with veterans. Cage needs to spread his battle buddy and best friend’s ashes at the top of Pike’s Peak. Emily, is a long time friend of the folks at the Lost Valley Ranch. The Lost Valley Ranch basement area is the location of the new Brotherhood Protectors office. When Emily starts getting creepy stalker messages in different ways, everyone at the Ranch wants to get involved to protect her. Cage gets his first assignment and in his words “sticking with you like glue”. Could Emily’s stalker be one of the veterans she is counseling? Another very good story in the Brotherhood Protector series.

When Cage comes to join the Colorado Brotherhood Protectors he doesn’t expect to get an assignment almost as soon as he arrives. Emily is a psychiatrist at the VA, counselling PTSD veterans and has gained a stalker, she’s also part of the family where the Brotherhood is setting up base and her family is not letting her go unprotected. As the threats start to escalate and Cade becomes a target, he will do everything and anything to protect and keep Emily in his life as they become inseparable....in and out of the bedroom.
I enjoyed this read, some steam, some suspense, heartbreaking moments, twists and turns and what I really LOVED....no drama between the two. Emily listened and didn’t take her safety for granted and Cade, easily fit into her life and wasn’t over the top with her.

Cage and Emily's relationship really would fall under the instalove/instalust category, but it really didn't feel that way. I liked them as a couple. They were kind of fun, flirty, and witty, even with everything that was going on with Emily.

I was surprised that Emily didn't fight against having a bodyguard. Especially considering how she kept trying to isolate herself so no one would get hurt. I am obviously a big chicken, and selfish to boot. I would make sure I was surrounded by people.

I also liked this book because I didn't figure out the identity of the stalker until almost the very end. The stalker was revealed almost immediately after the suspect became obvious.

Cage and Emily were able to fall in love, find the stalker, fulfill Ryan's wish, and get their HEA.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This was a great book! It's a standalone book but we get to see people from previous books, which I love. Cage and Emily are great, very likeable. Cage runs the Pikes Peak Marathon with the ashes of his best friend, Ryan, who was killed in Afghanistan in his backpack, because Ryan wanted them to run it. Emily is a psychologist that lost her family when she was 17. She went to live at the Lost Valley Ranch with Gunny and RJ and now goes back to help them when they need her. Cage is assigned to protect Emily when a secret admirer starts stalking her. I received an ARC of this book for an honest review and I loved it. Its full of romance, action, suspense and danger. I recommend it to everyone that likes a great book.

Another amazing story with likeable characters and sizzling chemistry. It is full of mystery, suspense and action. Along with hot alpha males and the women who love them.

Cage returned from Afghanistan, but his buddy did not. Now he needed to fulfill his buddy’s dream by running the Pikes Peak marathon alone. And he starts a new job tomorrow with the Brotherhood Protectors.

Emily led a PTSD therapy group at the veterans' hospital. She would have joined the military, but she hadn’t qualified for active duty because of a physical disability that caused her to walk with a slight limp. She loved her job. She loved her family. But now, someone is stalking her and she's afraid for her family. Can the Brotherhood Protectors help her find the stalker?

I purchased a copy of the steamy post military romance Ranger Redemption: Brotherhood Protectors Colorado Book #3 by Elle James and this review was given freely.
Poignant, action packed and suspenseful with some violence and a happy ending.
On the eve of starting his new job with the Colorado branch of the Brotherhood Protectors, soon to be ex-Army Ranger Cage Weaver completes a Marathon Run to the top of Pike’s Peak as part one of his final tribute to his best friend and former teammate Ryan Meyer; meets his coworkers and their Lost Valley Ranch family; and receives his first assignment, protecting Veteran’s hospital Psychologist Emily Strayhorn from a stalker.
18+ for intimate scenes and violence.

Ranger Redemption

OMG! What a FANTASTIC story by Elle! This story is about Cage and Emily. Cage is the newest member of the Brotherhood Protectors in Colorado. Emily is a psychologist at the VA hospital. It's unfortunate that Emily gained a stalker and he was getting violent. Towards the end, they thought they caught the stalker only to find out it was the wrong man and Emily almost died. Cage got to her in the Nick of time. Cage took care of the stalker. Once Emily was better, she and Cage started working on their happily ever after! The Epilogue was truly sad where Cage finally let his best friend fly home among the clouds. The last couple of chapters brought tears to my eyes. FANTASTIC job Elle! I would recommend this book!

Cage Weaver gets his first Brotherhood Protectors' assignment the day he shows up at Lost Valley Ranch. Thankfully it takes his mind off the loss of his best friend. Emily Strayhorn is adopted member of the Tates. Gunny and RJ as well as JoJo have "been there" for her since she lost her own family. Now she has a stalker who is escalating and rather than endangering those she loves, she's willing to sacrifice herself. Not happening! Despite her protestations, Cage sticks to her like glue. In the isolation of a small mountain cabin these two act on their attraction and it's explosive. Feelings develop quickly and it becomes even more critical to protect her. Ferreting out the stalker is exhausting and frustrating. Just about the time they figure it out...let's just say they haven't.

I really liked Cage and Emily. They have so much in common and are yet so different. Emily lost her parents and sister in a car accident when she was a teenager. The accident left her with a limp, and Gunny was kind enough and brought her to live in his home. Because of the limp she felt as if she was not attractive, so she studied hard and became a therapist. Cage lost his parents when he was very young and grew up in foster care. When he was old enough, he joined the military. There he found family. When his best friend died in his arms, he thought his life was over. Then he joined the Brotherhood Protectors and met Emily. She became his first assignment because she had a stalker. As they are together, they both developed feelings, but will it last once they find the stalker?

We are back in Colorado at the Lost Valley Ranch home to the new Brotherhood Protectors. We are meeting Cage for the first time. He has left the Army after his good friend is killed and is hoping this new job will help him get used civilian life. Emily we met before. She was raised by Gunny and lived on the ranch when her family was killed. She's now a therapist working at the VA is being stalked and Cage has been assigned as her bodyguard. There's drama, danger and the trauma that goes with being stalked and romance. We see some previous characters form the last book plus we see Hank, Sadie, Kujo and six again. Great addition to the series.

Emily Strayhorn, a friend of Gunny, one of the Brotherhood Protectors in Colorado, is a Therapist at the VA when she starts being harassed by someone. Gunny decides that new recruit, Cage Weaver, a former Army Ranger, should be her bodyguard until they find the culprit.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable story about two people who have an immediate attraction to each other, yet Emily doesn't want anyone she cares about around while this is going on. She doesn't want anyone getting hurt. This makes is harder on Cage, but he's up for the job.
They both help each other get through this scary time, and I LOVED the ending!!!

The author has done a fantastic job with this book to add to the series. I love the way she writes her stories with feeling, for the military for their scrafices and what they can do with their lives. The men and the women are due the respect they deserve. In this story Emily is a VA phsyc counselor and has a stalker. Cage is a new recruit with the brotherhood and got his first assignment, yes Emily. You have all the danger your need to keep you guessing who the stalker is, what's going to happen next and your HEA. Loved this story.

The more of the Colorado Protectors I read, the more I really love them, and it’s such fun to watch them grow. And then, this book includes some Hank and Sadie – which is always a treat. This is a nail-biter; the tension mounts as the stalker escalates, and the stalker’s access to Emily is terrifying. And Cage, wow, I’d want him on my six any day. This book is not one to start and put down; it’s well-written and gripping, and it’s a great introduction to new characters and a delightful revisit of characters we already know – both in Colorado and in the original Protectors. I loved this book.

Love Cage & Emily

Cage Weaver signed on to become a Brotherhood Protector in the new Colorado office. He just arrives and is assigned/volunteers to protect Emily Strayhorn, a therapist at the VA, who is friends with Gunny, RJ and JoJo, who has apparently picked up a stalker. Of course, Cage can’t let that stand. Elle James has written yet another amazing page-turner. I couldn’t put it down, and it’s entirely possible I growled at my husband when he tried to talk to me..... Definite must read in Elle’s awesome Brotherhood Protectors series!
