No one in their right freaking mind ever said midlife was magical. Apparently it is. Or at least mine is…
Once upon a time there was a paranormal romance author who caught her husband in a compromising position. One divorce later, she’s free and ready to start her new life at forty-two.
Right? Wrong.
Divorced idiot ex: Check Saved idiot ex from getting murdered by his new nasty gal pal: Check Idiot ex accused me of trying to kill him: Umm check Still seeing my fictional characters: Check Teeny tiny crush on my lawyer: Check check Town under siege by dark forces: Of course Crazy enough to try and stop it: You bet
With the darkness on the horizon, I need to clear my name and get to work. Forming a Goodness Army is on the top of the list. Shockingly, my army consists of my wacky tabacky smoking aunt, my high school counselor who can shift into a house cat, the town gossip who turns invisible after downing five beers and a few fabulous others with nefarious talents. And of course, a cast of fictional characters…who I created and definitely have an opinion on how I should proceed.
What could possibly go wrong?
I’m going on pure gut instinct at this point, and I can’t wait to see how the plot turns out.
I may be wrong. I may be write. Either way, I’ll just keep turning the pages until I find my happily ever after.
Robyn writes because the people inside her head won’t leave her alone until she gives them life on paper. Her addictions include shoes (the expensive kind), Coke with extra ice in a styrofoam cup, and bejeweled reading glasses. A former professional actress, she now lives in the south with her family and too many animals to count. Writing gives her a chance to have a job where working in her P.J.’s is acceptable. Another fun read and it is just that, a fun read with the typical cheesy love story to back it up. And there is nothing wrong with that, I, for one, enjoy a story that is quite predictable but creates the laughter too.
The books seem to be slightly rushed in places and descriptive in others but it doesn't seem to matter in the story, the characters definitely play the biggest role and I'm enjoying the each scenario.
I'll definitely pick up the next couple of books to finish off the series.
You May be Write by Robyn Peterman My So-Called Mystical Midlife series book 2. Paranormal women’s fiction. Best read as part of the series but the prologue in this book is the ending to the first book so can be read as a stand-alone. Ghosts and written characters come to life help Clementine defend against the ex husband and help Cheetoh with her magic. Add in a crazy ex girlfriend, a hot lawyer, and Aunt Flip and who knows what might be found coming out of the kitchen.
Crazy fun, hilarious antics, and sarcasm makes this story a total blast. Don’t look for serious lit here. It’s a story of a 42 year old romance writer whose life has taken mystical to a whole new undead level.
Clementine has gone from married, to divorced, to...jail? After witnessing her husband's mistress beat him almost to death, Clementine is now framed for the assault by none other than her ex himself. The Black and Decker Packer Wrecker is bound and determined to get what she wants. And she wants Clemmy's house. So the woowoo juju crew comes to the rescue to get Clemmy off the hook, and thwart Jenny Jingle. Laugh out loud funny! If you like irreverent humor with a tough of whackadoodle magic, you can't beat this book!
You May Be Write My So-Called Mystical Midlife, Book 2
I Picked Up This Book Because: Continue the series.
Media Type: Audiobook Source: Hoopla via HC Public Library Dates Read: 5/27/24 - 5/28/24 Rating: 4 Stars Narrator(s): Hollis McCarthy
The Characters:
Clementine : I can’t remember his name to save my life: Cheeto, Besties, Aunties and other WooWooJuJu members
The Story: Clementine learns a lot about harnessing her powers in this installment. The WooWooJuJu ladies continue to provide comic relief for dangerous situations and I fell even more in love with some of the “fictional” characters.
The Random Thoughts: Cheeto is my favorite character.
Another fantastic read from Robyn, poor Clem is in it up to her neck after Darren accuses her of beating him and Jinny is on the run, luckily Clem has her lovable aunt and nutty gang along with Seth & his daughter, jump on board and tag along with this crazy adventure, you won't regret it,full of hilarious laugh out loud moments, full of surprises and aawww moments with Seth, you will fall in love with each character,be prepared for a few years,I honestly can't wait to see what happens next 💞
This book picks up right where the first one left off. Clementine is in the hot seat when her jerk of an ex husband accuses her of trying to kill him. The WooWoo JuJu gang all pitch in to help prove her innocence. A snarky, hilarious, glorious read that will leave you begging for the next book in the series. I can’t get enough of the fun and crazy characters. I received an advance readers copy of this book and I am leaving a voluntary review.
After the cliffhangery ending of the first book, I couldn’t wait for the release of this next installment and I was not disappointed. I laughed aloud, may have almost teared up and just all-around enjoyed the upped stakes and hilariously unreal antics. So happy I stumbled across this series. I can’t wait for the next to see what happens both with Clementine and her characters and Seth (I really enjoy how the author is handling this romance). Definitely recommend, especially if you read book 1 (this book won’t have as big an impact otherwise).
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Okay sometimes the truisms are a bit juvenile but I think that’s pretty intentional. Reading these knowing they’re just fun and fluff 😃😃I’m here for it. Clementine and the gang are out to clear her name, reign in the darkness, and ensure that Darren gets what’s coming to him!! Along the way, Cheeto and Clementine discover new powers and .. the cat has a surpriseee 😂😂😂. All in all, a fun, quick read.
I adore Clementine! This book is even better than the first and that's saying A LOT! Clementine's circle of friends is even greater and more defined than before and she has so much love to give to them all. This book was a rollercoaster of thrills and I can't wait to see how Clementine, Seth and Cheeto work out, as a family!

This was a cute story. I enjoy the Women's Fiction genre, and found this one very entertaining, in a sort of a Stephanie Plum kind of way. I love Cheeto, and the WooWoo JuJu Goodness Army is hilarious. Definitely worth the read.
Silly but still engaging. Lots of language but the content is otherwise clean. I think the next one closes put this story arc so I’m going to read it. 😁
I honestly have loved this book from start to finish. Every page I have read has pulled me further and further into the story.I love all the characters and I can't wait to see were their storyline takes throughout this series. I can't wait to read some more series written by Robyn Peterman
Robyn Peterman has managed to shock the paranormal world of literature yet again! Her amazing talent to create worlds that you can't help but love and want to be a part of is unparalleled. This is the next installment of the world of Clementine and her book characters. Its the continuation of the midlife issues that are plaguing the creative Clementine in a battle of good vs evil. After she has learned in an unsavory way that her husband was cheating on her and divorced him Clementine learns she has the woo woo juju good magic. At first she thinks she's loosing her mind that her characters she's written in past books have come to life only to find out that its actually happening. Her Aunt Flip, who everyone always thought was nuts has the same woo woo along with a motley band of others that include a little girl named Cheeto. Clementine's ex-husband's new fiancée has tried to kill her ex and now he's putting all the blame on Clementine. The new fiancée is using the power of evil to try to end Clementine and her gang. Will it happen? Will good prevail? You have to read to find out. This book gives you the laugh out loud funny, the scream with anticipation, the cringe at the evil, along with the will the love of forever ever happen. You can't miss this series! It's one of the best I've read in forever!
Wow. Just wow. I stayed up soo late reading this book nonstop straight through! First of all can I just say how much I adore and love little ms Cheeto. She's the cutest little character I have read for a long time. I absolutely love that there is a wonderful and different child in a book and she instantly makes you fall in love with her. I understand Clementines instant love for her. I was so stoked to see Clemmy move forward in her life in this book with a little help from the sexy lawyer. I cannot wait to see where their travels takes them. This book got into more character depth for the "imaginary characters" and what they can really do and why they are there. We got soooo many more shenanigans from the woowoo juju ladies and their depth of love for leader. They are beyond hilarious!! That video tho lol!!! Laughing so hard. And we got a "new" character who is the funniest furball I've ever met. Thick Stella is my spirit animal for sure. Do not miss out on a laugh out loud adventure with Clemmy and her old gals. It's an insane hilarious ride! I'll be impatiently waiting for the next one!!

Clementine’s divorce from her cheating husband is a done deal, well almost. They are just waiting for the Judge to sign the paperwork and then she is free! Life is looking good, and so is her high school crush, Seth. It doesn’t hurt that Seth’s daughter, Cheeto, has captured her heart and also has the woowoo juju. Life looks good indeed. But Jinny Jingle, AKA The black and decker pecker wrecker, wants Clementine’s house and will go to any lengths to get it, including framing Clementine for the attempted murder of Darren, her soon to be ex-husband.
Now instead of starting a new chapter in her life, Clementine has to prove her innocence so she doesn’t end up serving life. With the help of the newly formed Goodness Army that consists of her wacky tabacky smoking aunt, her old high school counselor who shifts into a house cat, the town busy-body who turns invisible after 5 beers and a cast of a few others and the help of her characters from her books, it’s time to write the wrongs.
I was absolutely delighted with this book. I found myself laughing out loud and wondering when my mid-life magical powers will kick in.
Rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. I seriously want to live in Robyn's brain!! Her writing is witty, laugh your pants off and hilarious. We previously met Clementine who's hubby decided he wanted a divorce and his new woman wants HER house. The last book ended with Darren accusing Clemy of beating him. Clementine needs to prove her innocence in all of this but how? Her friends and family are determined to use their juju to help her out. On a side note, Seth needs someone to confide in about Cheeto and Clemy is that person. Clemy has a choice to tell Seth about Cheeto and magic or let it be. Clementine is at her wits end with Jinny after her and she needs to devise a an to stop her and clear her name. What would a crazy person do to get what she wants...anything! Clemys family aka her book characters give her insight on what needs to be done...but at what cost to Clemy? Will she clear her name or dig a deeper hole? A fabu read that reels you in and bam....where's the next book!!!!
Wow. This series really took off in this second installment. Picking right up where the last one left off. Clementine has been arrested for attempted murder of the Tiny Pecker. Of course she is innocent, but she is still hauled off to jail. Now it is up to the Woowoo Juju gang to save the day. What could go wrong? Everything…..
This book was so much fun to read. The characters are out of this world and are unique in every kind of way! Ms. Peterman’s creativity really shows in this series. The unique and unusual world she has created is like nothing you have ever read before. Her writing is flawless and her story telling is smooth. Absolute perfection.
Overall this book was outrageous fun and provides plenty of entertainment for hours. The characters have extraordinary personalities and are loads of fun. Especially Flip and the gang. I have totally fallen in love with Cheeto and in lust with Seth! I swear who could ask for more! I am so excited to see where this adventure leads next!!!
Clementine is building her Goodness Army and hoping she can do it before the darkness takes hold. I love the developing relationship (finally) with her and Seth (and Cheeto, of course).
Our band of woowoo juju lunatics are back and ready to fight – both real persons and Clementine’s characters. Secrets are learned, and trusts shared. And how about that Cheeto, eh?
Just when you wonder how it’s going to all fit together, it does. The story is well developed and keeps you on the edge of your seat, while laughing hysterically. Now to make sure Teeny Weenie and the Weather Hooker get what’s coming to them in book three! (I must say that “black and decker pecker wrecker” is my favorite name for her!)
You May Be Write was amazing! Loved it! I found myself laughing out loud several times throughout the book. The characters are hilarious and totally lovable! Aunt Flip, well everyone needs an Aunt Flip...she is hilarious, loving, and there for you when you need her. I really couldn't pick a favourite character in this series because I love them all. I think Cheetos stole my heart in this story....she is the sweetest little girl who can do just about everything better than he adult counterparts. Who knew? And her Dad, Seth, is trying to get a grip on Cheetos abilities but I think he will have a hard time letting go so that Cheetos can soar. This book had me laughing and cheering on Clementine....who is accused of beating her soon to be ex with a tire iron. Even though we know who did it...Jenny Jingle. But she has disappeared and Clementine's ex is pointing all his finger at her. Will the gang win? And what is at stake for them to win? Well, you will have to read the story to find out. I highly recommend this series!
Some authors just blow me away with their wacky creativity with every single book and Robyn Peterman is one of those rare authors who hits all my buttons with every single book!!! It was funny, way beyond funny… It was drama filled and magically charged… omg yes!!! It has some cute moments, sassy moments and sweet moments. There were shouts for joy when the bad guys got theirs. There were whistles when whistles were appropriate.. ( for those moments you gotta read the book) There was just Tom much awesomeness rolled into the pages I just gotta say read the book!!!!
Aunt Flip and the gals are hilarious, Cheeto is adorable, Clementine is all kinds of badass who will eventually have all her wishes come true and then some I’m thinking…
What can be worse than chaos? Controlled chaos! This second book is exactly that: a masterfully controlled chaos, but I still don't know which author does the controlling, Robyn Peterman or Clementine Roberts. Not that I'm complaining, because that's the kind of show I'm totally signing up for!
Clementine and the Juju gals are on fire, little Cheeto is still completely awesome, Seth is always drop-dead gorgeous and lovely, Jinny Jingle is still a farking biotch, Darren is still a pathetic douche. And the action goes on and on, until the hook at the end gets me hooked to my screaming: WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT COMES NEXT, NOW!!!
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! And it is possible that I had tears at a certain point.
I am absolutely in love with this series!!! I don't think there is anything Robyn can write that i don't. She has a way to completely suck you into her stories. Read in one sitting!!! Newly divorced writer Clementine is back and ready for action to finish her divorce before she meets her maker. If her ex has anything to say about it she won't. He has not only framed her for assault, but his crazy fiance has her sights set on making sure that Clementine is killed so she can get her hands on Clementine house. So with the help of her friends, Clementine is determined that she not only stays out of jail, bit keeps her home.
What a wild ride! I knew this latest book in the So-Called Mystical Midlife Series-You May Be Write was going to be good, but I didn’t realize that I would need a seatbelt! Soon to be divorcee Clementine witnesses her ex-husband almost murdered by his fiance. Instead of thanking her, he points the finger at her. Clementine needs to prove her innocence, help little Cheetoh with her magic, fight the darkness, and maybe along the road fall in love with her hot attorney. With the help of her Aunt Flip, the wuwu joojoo gang, and her imaginary characters, she fights for her life, her home, and for the light. A must-read for Robyn Peterman Fans
The storyline continued smoothly with book 2. The woohoo juju gang is becoming more cohesive, while taking on yet another young and confused soul. I am quite pleased with how this tale is getting even more in depth while still maintaining a high level of humor and snark. My husband literally can tell when I am reading a tale by this author just be the sudden bursts of laughter that interrupts our peaceful home. Of course the MC gets in hot water but challenge is what life does best. Love this immensely and can’t wait for more!
I always enjoy when a writer writes a book (or series in this case) about a writer. Is this what truly goes on in her head?!
The story continues right where Book 1 left off. Clementine is about to have a serious problem with the Weather Hooker and the Tiny Pecker. But the Woowoo Juju ladies are ready and willing to help. So are Cheeto, Seth and a few others. Ms. Peterman brings all of these characters to life fully. The dialogue is literally laugh out loud funny. I immensely enjoyed this book and am looking forward to Book 3.
I absolutely adore this series! It's got bits of Robyn's life written all over it. The characters will crawl into your heart and make a home there. You will want a love like Clementine & Seth's. A little girl like the talented Cheeto. An army of your own boobs to the wind kinda ladies. You will laugh until you cry and pray that you never come across a video like what was described in this book. I am grateful for books like this that will make your heart smile and your mind enter into the crazy imagination of a wonderful author!!
