I should have felt it coming.
I should have been prepared for saying goodbye.
But then why would I when I had no reason not to trust him.
When I had no reason to doubt his words.
But now I was left only doubting my own.
For surely Lucius would come for me?
Surely, he would realise his mistakes.
Because we both knew that mistakes in Hell could be deadly
and well, for this Queen of Sins
it could mean only one thing,
My King was going to War and this time…

He was Fighting his Past.

I’m so disappointed with how this series has gone I could rant for pages. I will keep it as brief as I can though.
The use of conjunctions at the start of sentences is so annoying! The odd one is fine, but when it’s 5 or 6 sentences in a row it reads like one long continuous thought. I’ve said this about the last 2 books but it was just as bad if not worse in this one. As well as the conjunctions she used the phrase ‘as for’ so many times e.g as for me, as for you, as for her, as for *insert character name here*, this also became extremely annoying.
Then there’s the recapping and repetition which seemed to be more present than in previous books. Like how Lucius was told the backstory of Matthias, he then relayed this to Dom and Keira, albeit shorter but still going over information we’ve already been given. Keira then repeats some of this info when telling Amelia, so we were told certain things 3 times! Team this with the pages of description Steph likes to give and I found myself skim reading big chunks of it.
The timeline with Matthias didn’t make sense - so he beat pythia and got the name Judas from her and set out to destroy his soul so lucifer wouldn’t use him to replace Matthias. I’m guessing this happened just before he got involved with Judas’ wife, 2000 years ago. Lucifer caught Matthias and imprisoned him in Tartarus for 500 years for beating pythia, but which 500 years out of the previous 2000? Since it was Lucius losing his hand that helped release Matthias he must have been on the run for 1500 years between beating Pythia and getting caught, but it seemed like lucifer caught him quickly? So this didn’t make any sense.
The ending... Matthias turns into a god, Lucius said ‘the only thing that can beat a god is another god’ and what do you know Amelia becomes a god and defeats him. It’s exactly the same ending as afterlife, where Keira became a god to beat the enemy. Like seriously?
I’m being generous giving it 2 stars as there were not many redeeming features. It saddens me so much because books 1-9 were amazing. This ending to the series has hurt more than the final season of game of thrones. Steph was my favourite author for a long time and I was so looking forward to all the characters spin offs but after these last few books I don’t think I can bring myself to read anything more by her

Wow Stephanie just wow

Wow Stephanie Hudson......
What a journey, this has to be my favourite book of this series to date.
Wow what a journey I LOVED hearing from Lucius side it was amazing to read the history and with his father and brothers.
I do love this couple their humour is just infectious and the plot.
This storyline was ultimately the best yet. It went above and beyond all those other book.
That ending had me in tears as I had to wait 24 hrs to write the review.
My son 26 said if you have a Stoke because of this book from excitement and anger mum I’ll be angry at Stephanie lol

This series started off decent. I knew from the beginning that the author had indicated that it was written in UK British vernacular. And had that been the case throughout this series then I could have accepted it, understood it and enjoyed it. Unfortunately this author in such a rush to get books out without it seems even basic editing, provided us with an absolute mess of conflicting writing styles that was just outright annoying. And the farther into the series the worse it go. In one sentence she wrote in normal everyday modern day English and then in the next it was as though she was trying to write in some Early Edwardian formal written English. The over use of the word "FOR" was particularly mind numbing! "For that is the way of the world!", or "For that is how a person should do"! Pick a writing style and stick with it.

As for the story itself, there was absolutely no growth with these characters. They continued to lie and hold things back from one another, make decisions without the other's knowledge or input and suddenly things went to hell in a handbasket and they didn't understand why. I'm all for an initial dumb stupid misguided mistake but you have got to show some character growth. There is absolutely none at all with these characters.

I know these self published writers are trying to make a name for themselves and with enough sales probably hoping for movie, TV or real Publishing house deals, but spinning out these so fast with so many glaring issues it getting old very quickly. I give them credit for trying to do something I know I couldn't, but it would be nice if they'd go just a little bit farther and try to deliver quality over quantity.

Thank goodness I read them through my Kindle Unlimited account because having to pay for this would have seriously peaved me off. I think if the sex scenes were left out, these would appeal to 12 year old girls looking for a dark night fantasy. Except because there's no character growth, I wouldn't let my daughter read it!

Like I said, it started off as a decent story that had great potential. But it didn't deliver. Not by a long shot. For me, I'm done. I don't care what happens at this point. I think it's just a money sucking scheme now for anyone who is willing to pay $4 a book times 12 books. Yeah, no....this could be condensed down to one, 2 at the absolute most, and with a good editor fixing the issues, paying a regular $13 and you're still saving over what this costs now.

Don't waste your money!

.. and the roller coaster ride ends ...

With the best of intentions, Lucius is causing the worst.
However, only until it becomes known that some of those involved are already long puppets in a long-time revenge plan. Lucius unknown brother is the puppeteer who starts the last blow. War is coming...

In this volume a lot is explained, open questions are answered and Amelia's destination is revealed.
The battle scenes don't take up as much space in the book as I expected before. But everything is well balanced. The end is open; which I did not expect.

This series COULD have been great except......

This series and the Afterlife series could have been great. The plot was excellent, the world-building was fine, and the development of the characters was excellent as well. The difficulty is the many numerous mistakes made with the English language. A few mistakes can be overlooked especially with self-published books. This writer's mistakes however, occur in every paragraph. The misuse of the word ' as' is one example. Another common mistake is the improper use of tenses. Past and future tense are incorrectly used with regularity. An example is ' I didn't mind sat in the room waiting for him '. The proper use of verbs is learned in elementary school.
The wrong use of the word ' as' is so numerous it would take a chapter on its own to describe. Let's just say it is far too many mistakes for a writer of this many books not to have learned proper writing skills at some point.
Another small issue is wanting to know why it takes twelve books to tell a story. Surely the author could have spent more time on each book concentrating on proper sentence structure and removing the amount of unneeded fluff.
These books have the possibility of being deemed in the top one hundred but the number of problems with the writing makes the books almost unreadable and that's a shame.
Perhaps this author can find a few beta readers who understand the proper use of the English language or invest in a good program like Grammarly .

Good ending to series

I have been invested in many of the different Afterlife series. Lucius was always a favorite of mine and I was slightly disappointed with his characters interactions with Amelia. It just wasn’t the same “heat” as with he and Kiera.

I do believe the series itself dragged on and some of the things that happened were monotonous. I actually quit reading the series for a couple of months because I was truly annoyed. I finally completed it and I am quite happy with the way Stephanie has ended it.

After reading some of the reviews for the final book I almost gave up and did not read it. However, the book truly does finalize things for me and I don’t feel as if another book is even necessary.

Stephanie’s stories are unique and there are times I don’t know where the story is going to take me. I like that. I feel like sometimes fans are pushing her to give them more and we receive more books which could be great, but in essence actually take away from the story and characters. Of course we all want to read about our favorite characters lives after the main story, but where does it end?

WOW! Just Wow.

This series has taken up more time in my life than I care to admit. Afterlife Series was fully of everything I would hope for. Didn’t think author could do any better. Boy was I proven wrong. Transfusion had moments where I would just burst out laughing from Amelia and her Qwerky sense of humor. Then I was crying silently for all the loss and emotion that was given to one another by Amelia and Lucius. Now, I was dreading the final book because I didn’t want it to end. But behold, there is another book. I can not wait. For, the way this one ended was not what I had expected.
Great characters, storyline, and romance. Sexy bad ass alpha and the sassy, pain in Lucius butt Amelia made it by far one of the best series I’ve ever read in the Paranormal Romance genre. I highly recommend it

Disappointing

Let me start by saying that I love Stephanie so much. I could never do what she does. She has put out almost a book a month for a year. That is truly incredible. Now with that being said, this book what such a let down. I am so sick of Amelia being taken and her and Luc being forced apart by stupid choices made by both parties. There is no growth. The ending really just posses me off the most. I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read it but I hated it. His past coming back is one thing but to add the additional surprise was just too much. I don't know what is going to happen next but I have no clue how she is going to do another book.it needs to be nothing but then together building a life together

Simply stunning

This has topped it all. Want action, it’s got it. Want romance, it’s got it but super hot. Want hot males and badass females, it’s got it. This book has it all.
Lucias has to make the hardest decision he has ever made. He always thought the safest place for Amelia was by his side, now he thinks differently. His mortal life is coming back and is after his love.
Amelia doesn’t know what’s coming and boy is she in for a shock.
We get to catch up with all our favourite characters from Afterlife too. This ending made me fist pump the air. My emotions are spent but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I recommend this book but highly recommend you read this series and Afterlife to start at the beginning.

Great book. Love all of the books in the series. I would love to see future books for the three scottish brothers and their love interests. More books incorporating all the characters Amelia's family were so interesting to read about. Expand more on just this central couple who are amazing.
That's what made this series so fantastic was all of the other characters in the books. Wonderful writing liked this book way better than book 11. Stephanie is a fantastic author. Hope she continues to develop all of the other characters we love like Nero and that wonderful shy girl that was interested in Trey!

What an odd end for book 12

I am reading the series and enjoying all the characters and new family connections. Obviously, I am committed to finishing this series because I have invested time to read all the books. I can’t believe this ending though because the big climax is at the end of the book seriously the twenty last pages. It’s honestly not enough time to wrap up the big war event, celebrate the heroes, and bring the couple back together. This book was a chase after the newly found enemy with decoys . . . . I am disappointed that the author chose to wrap Amelia and Lucius story in this way.

Omg the goodbyes

The 3 brothers good byes. Luc good byes how many goodbyes can I handle . What an emotional rollercoaster. I'm glad they defeated him in such a badass description way ,completely got me hooked.
The only down side for me but it's not really a down side is I forgot Judas story from a book before so it got a bit confusing for myself . If I was to read them again I wouldn't wait til the next one came out I'd read them all one after another to not forget the story lines. That's my only advice.

Well I expected a bit more from the man they call the ruler of all of hell but hey, he was good looking!
This is so heavily romance based and it's hard at times but i have a feeling that I will be saying it's worth it in the end!
I loved how Amelia got her moment in this and the claim back of her power which we have been holding out for since what, the third book? It was an easy win though so much build up for only a couple of pages.
It was however completely worth it. The twists surrounding his brother, wife and child fit so perfectly with the story.

The End????????????

Well done again Stephanie Hudson
Had me gripped most of the way through only lost a few times with all the names n references n place names n whose related to who.
But apart from that the main story was good as alwAys & they finally talked which meant they trusted each other which is what won in the end.

But it wasn't the end now I'm gonna have to wait n find the next book will that one be the end???????

Disappointing

I have to start off by saying I love Stephanie Hudson's books. The Transfusion series started off great but really it was the same as Afterlife. Running away, keeping secrets from one another. I thought this was the last book of the Transfusion series and if it was then the ending was awful. Again Lucius and Amelia end up separating with Lucius just flying off then The End. Really disappointed in this book

Finally I can get my life back !! I have read all 12 books now and on the whole thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
However I found the sex scenes too much and descriptions way to long just my preference really.
I’ve never read 12 books in such little time I was so gripped.
I gave 5 stars because the end of this book was so gripping with twists and turns right to the end, would recommend this series to my friends and have already done so it in fact. Brilliant 👋🏻

Loved it!

I absolutely loved the afterlife series and the Transfusion books didn’t not disappoint! I have been hooked on the characters since meeting the Dravens and now waiting for the Vampire Kings happy ending has me on the edge of my seat because I can’t wait to see what is next! I read them all on my kindle unlimited. However, I will be buying all the books for my personal collection.

Can’t wait for the real finale!

This was a great ending…bittersweet. Going to have a difficult time waiting for the next chapter in Lucius and Amelia’s story (hopefully one where they are able to have a truly happy ending). I loved all the turmoil and the feel good, only to be ripped apart AGAIN. But I truly hope that this next book gets to be about the “happily ever after” that they no doubt deserve!

So while I loved the characters of this series and the overall story there are just parts of it that dragged on wayyy to much like details about rooms and outfits like it shouldn't take 3+ pages to describe what a character is wearing or a room. With that said I still recommend reading the series because the characters and the story line are so fun and amazing and it's a wonderful adventure and make sure you read the Afterlife series if you haven't already.

I love this series. Lucius and Amelia are my favorite couple. The first half of this book had too much unnecessary history and description of surroundings for me. I loved the second half of the book I just wish it was longer. I look forward to the next book and thankful that it is coming! I would love many more books with Lucius and Amelia. They are a dynamic couple.

Stephanie Hudson has created a world so complex and intricate you can’t help be sucked in. Her books are filled with characters who stay with you long after you’ve finished the book. T12 has not only brought together the strands from the Transfusion series but also from Afterlife answering so many questions. Well done Stephanie, I cannot wait for your next masterpiece.

Daddy's girl

This was an excellent wrap up of the previous book and I am gratified and satisfied at the ending. It cleared up a lot of mysteries about most of the main characters but left us with a teaser, of course. Thank you Stephanie Hudson for this tremendous body of work. You are amazing. I always look forward to the next story.

Well worth the wait

Separated again with secrets between them, Lucious feels guilty and Amelia is again a pawn in the machination of the powers that be and the Soul of Trees. Full of action I thought this was the last in the series but I would like to see what the fallout from one will be.
