Another really good book as part of the Royal Bastards MC. According to the author there will be more. Dieing to know what happened to the sister that went home. Hoping we haven't heard the last of her.

Don't really know what to say about this book because I have more questions than we got answers to. I really hope there is another book to at least wrap up all the lose ends. Don't get me wrong it's a good book but I'm wishing for the next part of this group in the series like now.

Not many errors and none to interrupt the flow of reading. You can feel what Ripper feels for Alice but I don't really feel what she feels for him. I kinda sorta do but maybe it's because we don't get as many of her thoughts. There is a lot of sexy times for those of us who enjoy them. Now off to the next charter.

**Review of the audiobook**

STORY
Although I know logically that mc romance series can usually be read out of order, I have never started one without reading book #1 until now. I would have rather read book #1 first, but the author was only offering book #2 free in exchange for a review, and I’m glad I accepted it!!!

Madison has taken off again, this time hooking up with the Royal Bastards MC. Wanting to avoid a political scandal, her father, who is running for Senator, once again sends her sister Alice in search of her before the media gets wind of her shenanigans. Then Alice meets Ripper, Prez of Royal Bastards, and the rest is history.

Although I could’ve skipped the quotes at the start of every chapter, everything else about this story was really great! Even though it was 100% predictable, I wasn’t bored at all!! Knight does a phenomenal job of creating realistic, entertaining, sexy characters! It’s very rare that I hear a typo while listening to an audiobook, but there was an obvious one here when the female mc says, “My breath turns a bit breathily unintentionally.” I will definitely read/listen to more by Sapphire Knight!

PERFORMANCE
I listened to the Audible audiobook narrated by Cade and Simone Cohen. Although I appreciated how Cade changed his voice to help differentiate between characters, some of the voices he used were so over-the-top and exaggerated that they sounded like cartoon characters. Also, I struggled at times because I wasn’t certain whether a character was thinking to himself or speaking out loud. Otherwise, his performance was great. I have nothing but fabulous things to say about his partner, Simone. She delivered a flawless, believable performance from beginning to end.

This book sucked ass. The hero went from having his cock sucked by one sister to fucking the other one, without telling the older sister that he's already nutted in the little sister's mouth. Also, the character descriptions were so poor, I didn't know what anyone looked like. Also, the sex was basically inserting monster cock, chit-chat, cum. The sex scenes were one-dimensional. Also...there were so many spelling and grammar errors that I am convinced Ms. Knight forewent the editing process in order to get the book out in time. Overall, I am NOT a fan of Ms. Knight.

I liked this. I had to adjust to Ripper after the first impression, which was pretty true to a Prez character. I think romance purists may have an issue with the sister connection, however true to character and circumstances it was. Although I did like this, it kept me engaged and up way too late reading, In the end, I faltered on the romance connection. I really had a hard time seeing past the lust to the life changing relationship for Ripper. Alice trades her life with her father for a life with Ripper which is, in essence, the same type of support staff life only with mind blowing sex added in (a nice perk, but still, her life experience changes but doesn't get bigger with this relationship). This also tried really hard on the dirty talk front and succeeded at times but it wasn't consistent. Finally, I got an attraction vibe from Wrench toward Richardson during his first church meeting. I would love to see that explored in the context of this club. I could see Ripper being selfishly onboard for that.

There were places that the book references other MC characters, Rancid and Gamble that felt like I should have known what that was all about but there is no reference I could find to point me to those backstories. I'm figuring they are part of the RBMC collective but there are a lot of those books.

Absolutely loved this book/chapter of the Royal Bastards MC. Ms. Knight has given us a very well written book with characters I simply loved. The female lead (Alice) is a strong, independent woman who comes into her own and realizes the life she has led is not the life she wants in the future but can she reach out and take what she wants or will she succumb to her father’s wishes? As for the male lead (Reaper), he is the prez of the Texas Chapter of the Royal Bastards and trust me he fits the “B*stard mold to a tee. He’s not a good man. He does things that need to be done and not necessarily things most people would be proud of. Yet he does them with a blink of an eye and no regrets. When it comes to his club and his brothers he is loyal to a fault and does whatever it takes to keep them solid and living a happy MC lifestyle.

Alice and Reaper meet while she is looking for her sister, who has run away - again. Reaper knows where she is but doesn’t just hand over information, at least not without getting something in return and that something in this case is Alice. What happens from here is one exciting, romantic, and thrilling ride. I highly recommend this chapter of the Royal Bastards Series and this reader is anxiously waiting for book 2 in the Royal Bastards, Texas Chapter.

**Listened through audible.**
The narrators in this threw me off. I felt like they were reading straight off a movie script instead of a book or BEING the characters, almost like it was their first run through. I like that there was duel narroration throughout all the chapters, but during most conversations there was this awkward pause instead of a flowing conversation.
The plot had amazing promise and normally I adore this author’s work, but this book wasn’t for me. I didn’t connect with the characters and some things felt unrealistic beyond creative privilege.
I would love to read more books in this series, so I will definitely give it another go.

Unlike some of the other books in this series, this one is more of a slow burn, with a lot of emotion. I blew through this story. To have an M/M book that turned out like this is so heart breaking and emotional, I could NOT put it down. I adored this story! A must read!!

This book is all that and a bag of chips! I read the opening scene and was like yesss we are in for a wild ride! I loved this book! It is classic Sapphire Knight, where you root for the anti hero's and love every minute of it! Alice is a straight laced women who does not let her hair down and she always does the right thing. Ripper is all alpha and is not looking for long term anything that is not apart of his MC. But sparks fly when these two meet and the rest is a wild ride! This book will keep you guessing and turning the page. I loved every minute of reading this book and it will be your next 5 star read!

From tough guy to teddy bear

I purchased this book via Amazon and am leaving my review voluntarily. This book is a standalone, however it is part of a multi author series and there are mentions of those characters.

Triggers: drugs, murder, arson

**spoilers**
Ripper, the Prez of the Royal Bastards, TEXAS chapter. Foul mouthed, crude, drug user, little regard for women. Alice, daughter of a senator. Proper. On the lookout for her sister Madison.

Alice is in TEXAS searching for her sister who keeps running away from home. She ends up at the Royal Bastards strip club. Alice asks around but nobody will admit they know Madison. (even though she works there as a coke sniffing stripper)

Ripper is intrigued by Alice. Alice is intrigued by him as she is not used to rough men. At this point, I felt the author did a great job portraying the MC as one expects: a rough, violent, alcohol/drug using, illegal job taking group men who only have 1 use for women. I mostly liked Ripper for who he was, no apologies kind of guy. Alice, started strong but once she hooked up with him....meh.

Stuff happens. A murder for hire. Madison is returned to the senator. Alice and Ripper are in love. The end.

(Except. At like the 65% mark? Ripper calls his guys into church and suddenly has a heart to heart about his feelings for Alice? He might as well had started passing notes. And then of course, it's never addressed, but once Madison was gone she's basically forgotten - what happens when Alice finds out Ripper was putting drugs on his guy part and getting blow jobs from her sister? I actually would be interested in reading about Richardson, Alice's security guy and possibly Angel and his prospect Lunatic.)

Well you know it’s going to be pretty out there when within a minute of starting the book the mMC is whipping out his dick and putting some cocaine on it for strippers to snort off, followed by a BJ from the newest one, Maddy.

Maddy happens to be the runaway sister of Alice, the fMC. They���re daughters of a Senator in another state who is up for reelection, and who controls his daughters to present the perfect picture. Makes no sense that he’d be willing to send one daughter after the other but whatever.

So this is how Alice ends up meeting Ripper. Though he never tells her he got a few BJs from her sister, Alice will become his ol’ lady pretty quickly. Not a lot of angst or anything but sex between the two MCs. I expected so much more blowback from the Senator, but he was happy to use an outlaw biker club to do some of his dirty work in exchange for his daughter. Pretty gross, but I guess it works in Alice’s and Ripper’s favor. But Alice was incredibly hypocritical as she traded her sister’s freedom to win her own. And Maddy was given a sedative and taken back home with the Senator. End of.

The rest of the book is easy peasy and just a love fest between the MC members and Ripper and Alice. It ends with some questions still not answered but maybe it’ll carry to book 2, which I assume is about another couple.

Hard drugs, murder, and the use of those drugs are prevalent throughout. No cheating though, and only the mention of BJs before Ripper meets Alice.

The senator Compton instructs his eldest daughter Alice to locate and bring home his youngest daughter Madison, who has a habit of running away and doing crazy things. The search leads her to Texas, to the doors of the Royal Bastards clubhouse. Madison has been working as a stripper in one of their clubs and has been getting intimate with thenPrez Ripper and the VP Blow. Alice asked Ripper what he knows about his sister and he is vague with his answers as he wants to keep seeing Alice. She wakes up things in him that no woman has ever achieved and in no time they ended up sleeping together.
Ripper reaches an agreement with the senator: he will return Madison and do him another favor in exchange for the freedom of his brother Baker, who is in prison, and for letting Alice stay in Texas a little longer.
In just a few weeks they both fall in more in love to the point that Alice will become his ol’lady.
The truth is that I was surprised by the ease with which Blow accepted Madison’s fate taking into account all the time he spent with her. I’m dying to read his book and know if these 2 will have a second chance.
Also I was surprised that Alice was no longer interested in the welfare of her sister once she returns to her father.

I've been reading many Motorcycle Club books this year, and just like the omegaverse books, I'm starting to realize what I like and don't like within this trope. This one had a few things I loved and wanted a lot more of, but it also had some things I needed help with. It's hard to explain how this one felt so slow but also super fast. We focused a lot on this insta-love relationship, and I wish we had more emphasis on the family drama. I loved it when Alice realized that maybe her sister wasn't as wild and crazy as she thought and started finally fighting for what she wanted versus what was best for her dad's career. I wish we could see a little more of Madison's story. I think she might have a later book since she's involved with the vice president of the MC. But this book is just the start of this series that is a part of this massive RBMC universe. I was initially drawn to this book because Knight was part of the Sweetgrass event in 2024. I kind of want to read more in the series, but it's not a top priority for me at the moment. This one wasn't a bad book; it just wasn't working for me.

This book is part of the Royal Bastards MC Collection. This book has been renamed opposites attract. This is the first book I have read by Sapphire. Ripper is the president of his chapter. He has found his ol’ lady is the most unlikely way. She is the complete opposite of him but perfect for him. Gem has come looking for her sister. It is what she always done. But this time its different. She is begging to understand why her sister does what she does. She wants to do it too. How could meeting one person change her so much? This was a great read. Opposites attract for sure. Sapphire did a great job with this book. I do feel bad for Gem’s sister. Gem is also learning more about her father or maybe just finally seeing how he truly is. These characters are fantastic and I can’t wait to read more about them. Great job Sapphire.

Let me just start saying, I love M/C stories. And this one was no exception. Sapphire Knight wrote a stoy full of action, mystery and instant attraction that turns into love. Both the hero and heroine doesn’t expect they will fall so deeply . Like most M/C romances it involves some shady businesses.
Ripper is the president of the M/C club. Alice walks into his life out of the blue. Alice is looking for her sister who just MIA. Alice father wants her found right away.
Little does Alice know that she will become an old lady

I loved the sparks, the attraction and just how much Alice comes into her own in this story. Both characters are so different in lifestyles and their ways but this raw deep attraction bridges gaps to find common ground. Alice has only known life full of privaledge but it isn't necessarily what she wants so looking for her sister shows her a different way and has her questioning. There are some suspenseful and exciting moments in this story but in many ways it's a backwards Cinderella plot. It's all about finding and building their love story. Gripping and powerful, with a great support team of characters and a few surprising little events. Well worth reading.

I love this new series and of course anything from the Royal Bastards MC series is always a treat. Sapphire Knight is one of my go to authors and I love what she brings me. In this book we meet the brothers from RBMC Central Texas and they are all such characters. The prez Ripper is such an alpha male, while Alice "Gem" is such a strong woman but she has her softer side too. I loved their story and all the other characters I met along the way. This is a rough, gritty and sexy story that you just need to get on, hold on and enjoy!

A Very Good Read!

This novella surprised me. Honestly just starting the first chapter, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. Since the leading man is a big, little b*stard. But, it's worth hanging in there for. The author has truly made this story the perfect introduction to the series, as the king finds his queen. It's full of realism, debauchery, steamy s*x and possessive men. This insta love story can be read as a standalone story or continue on through the series. The characters are interesting but relatable. This is a good choice read for fans of MC Romance, Bad Boy Biker, Opposites Attract, Insta-Love and Crime Drama Fiction.

Ripped and Possessive

Ripper is a possessive bastard but very sweet. Even though Ripper and Alice come from different worlds they are so compatible with each other. Alice is a very strong independent woman which suits being the Prez’s Ole Lady. When thrusted into a world she’s never experienced before she handles it like a pro. You can feel the need to claim with Ripper the more time he spends with Alice and watch them fall head over for each other. Definitely a must read!!! 😍 loved it!

Yeah for Sapphire Knight!!

I have quickly become a big fan for this author. Nothing she writes is disappointing and that includes Opposites Attract. This is the story about Ripper, the Royal Bastards Prez, and Alice who was raised in a wealthy home. Neither can deny the attraction to each other inspite of their differences. The question is, is this a permanent relationship or just a good time as long as it lasts? I loved this book and I can't wait to start the next book in the series. This book has spice, angst, and richly developed characters.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Ripper and Alice’s story.
Ripper is president of his MC, and Alice is sent by her father, who is running for Senator, to bring home her sister Madison, who has run from her father, and has hooked up with the Royal B*stards.
This is a well written story which is raw and gritty, with suspense, intrigue, romance, opposites attract, emotions, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and spicy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Ripper and Alice

I've got to hand it to Sapphire - this book is a real page-turner! Ripper's found love in the unlikeliest of places, and it's hilarious to see how he navigates his relationship with his ol' lady. Meanwhile, Alice is on a quest to understand her sister's choices, and let's just say she's in for a wild ride. With Sapphire's fantastic writing, you'll be rooting for these characters in no time. And who knows, you might just learn a thing or two about the power of opposites attracting!

Great read!!

Another fantastic read from the Royal Bastards MC. This time it's Sapphire Knight and the Texas Chapter. Loved this so much! Ripper is the Prez who gets knocked on his ass by Alice. The banter and connection is there from the start. Something he finds refreshing, Alice doesn't judge. She is there to find her sister but can't deny the attraction she has.
Can't wait to see if there will be more from this Chapter and this author!

Feeding my obsession: Royal Bastards MC

Sapphire takes you on a ride that you don't want to end! Loved the story and the memorable characters, especially Ripper! Alice grew on me and I loved the woman she becomes after she gets involved with Ripper. I would love to know the rest of Maddy's story in the future (hint, hint Sapphire!)
I highly recommend the book as well as the entire Royal Bastards MC series!

OMG, from the moment that you start reading this AMAZING book you will be kept on the edge of your seat. It moves along at an amazing pace, keeping your interest. The characters are gritty, lovable, strong and every other word that can be used to describe them. You cannot help but fall in love with them. The story will grab you and you will not be able to put this down until you have read the very last word. This book needs to be read, no doubt about it.

Quick, Hot Read

Ripper is a total hot alpha. He's crude and sexy in the best way. Alice is conservative and strong. I love the dynamic. The opposites attract is really strong in the book. I love whe the biker falls for a girl "not in the life". The story was short but super hot because duh....all her books have some of the hottest and sexiest scenes. But the story is good and you will love all the club members!

I absolutely love reading a book about an area that live in and know places that are mentioned!! Now back to the Characters....Ripper, OMG!!! What a man!!! Alice, makes the perfect match for him. This book is very well written and will pull you, in from the first sentence until the last word. I can't wait for the next book and to read about the rest of these adorable characters!!!!
