Kat and Dogg! Who could not love that?
Adorable vet and cute as a button photographer get together to raise money for animals, and sexiness ensues.
And it has mad me want another dog!
Love the small town vibe of the tale, even though living it IRL is not so much fun, when everyone knows your business.
Loved seeing the characters from Resolution Revolution again, and really need some of Hayden's brothers to get their books.

Length: 87 pages
Plot: Kat is in America to visit her aunt and maybe do some photography. Her aunt has her first job lined up: a photo shoot of the adorable animals at the vet's office where she works. The only hitch? Kat can't stand the vet, Dr. Dogg. But Hayden doesn't feel the same way about Katt, and he intends to blow up those first impressions.
Commentary: There was no real reason for Kat to dislike Hayden at first sight. Even with the explanation about her ex, there was no real reason - she hated him before he even opened his mouth and was really bitchy to him until more than halfway through. I didn't get it. She was more prickly than I enjoyed.
I hate to say all of that because I generally enjoy this author's work, a lot. I think maybe this short of a story is not the best format.

Kat Meet Dogg
Honestly Evie's dedication in this book was my favorite part and did me in. As a follower of her work, I know the loss and journey that happened behind the scenes during this book's creation, and that makes it even more incredible.
This is a short, sweet and steamy romance filled with all sorts of adorable fur babies. It's also packed with Evie's usual wit and humor, which I absolutely adore.
Another wonderful gem from Evie that is now in my growing collection of all things Evie Mitchell.

This is a stand alone book, that has some character overlap from the Capricorn Cove Series. Hayden is the local vet who is trying to do some good, raising money to care for animals, but his photo skills are lacking. Que in Kat who is in town to visit her aunt, who works with Hayden. Their meet-cute turns out to be more of a meet-nope, through some miscommunication. Needless to say as they work together the chemistry the pair have is undeniable, but can Kat give up her preconceived ideas of American men and her future to find real happiness? She takes control of the situation and dives into Hayden for both of their happiness. I love that Kat takes what she wants and that Hayden is there for it. Evie really brought about the sweet in this short Puppy Love, but there was some demanding heat too! Loved this!

The story was well-written and entertaining to read. It revolves in Spring, Florida where Hayden, a handsome vet needed help for the charity calendar. Kat and her brother was visiting their favorite aunt until she suggests that they needed a photographer at the shelter. She swore off men after her breakup with her ex-boyfriend until Hayden comes knocking down her fortified walls. Their playful banter and being comfortable with each other creates a sizzling tension as they cannot help but ignite the sparks as their lips portray the unspoken feelings between them. I love how Hayden was such a gentleman and did not become arrogant because of his looks. Kat was also able to accept that she loves Hayden instead of pushing him away. I also love the epilogue although I needed more scenes in a couple of years of them growing together as a family.

Ok that’s it, I’m moving to Capricorn cove so I can find one of these men that love so darn big. When I saw the title I was like uhhh this one is a departure. And then we meet Hayden and of course there I went being smitten again. It took me a minute to warm up to Kat because I hate women who let bad men give them undue angst and lots of hang ups but she melted for the Dogg pack🥰. This whole made up town honestly has me constantly cheesing because big girls, small girls, tall ones, short ones it won’t matter there’s a hunk for you and he believes in making it hot and spicy to get to HEA. Keep em coming Evie Mitchell, keep em

Hayden Dogg is the veterinarian in Spring, Kat is his employees niece who is visiting with her brother from England. The first time they meet is when someone thinks they ran over a cat. But the cat is a bit of a drama queen and is fine, but Kat doesn’t know that and when Hayden steps in and acts all bossy she gets pissed. Things get interesting when the aunt asks Kat a photographer to do an animal charity calendar for the doctor. When she finds out it’s the bossy guy from the street she’s not impressed. But Hayden’s charm does melt her eventually, plus everyone else loves Dr Dogg. She’s reluctant to start anything with Hayden because she had a bad experience with an American guy, but she decides that Hayden is a good guy and worth it. Especially when he is all in with her and is happy to introduce her to his family and friends. I love yous and she proposes to him. Cute epilogue one year later with how she tells him he’s going to be a daddy.

This charming RomCom is about vet, Dr Hayden Dogg who lives in a small town. His assistant, June's niece, Kat - a photographer comes to visit and she only plans on staying for the summer. She gets roped in to help photograph the animals in the shelter that Hayden oversees and lands up being in his company a lot. This is an instalove steamy short story with endearing characters, adorable pets and amusing dialogue. There were a lot of puns around their names which was hilarious. I really enjoyed this book and rate it 4.5*.

Hayden and Kat have a start for sure! Not only do their names say it, Kat and Dogg, (with two Gs), they live up to their names. A little like cats and dogs at the beginning but they soon start to play nice and find there might be more. As they explore their attraction for one another they realize that this isn’t just puppy love, it’s the real deal!!! If you love an insta-love story with a few adorable animals and really hot vet then this is something you should totally read!!!

Ok, so I've been stressed from work and hadn't been reading because I didn't want my weird funk to impact any stories I read. So, I thought perfect timing I have this little gem here to read. Hayden and Kat are too cute. I love their interactions with each other, the animals, the goofiness of others. It meshes wonderfully. This is a fast read that doesn't disappoint.

- The craze that ends up happening over Dr. Dogg was shocking and confusingly hilarious 🫣 I also appreciated it as the catalyst for them in a way I didn’t expect.
- I like how he wore her down by, unknowingly, doing all the right things in comparison to her ex.

When Kat and Hayden first meet there is no way you see them together. However as the story unfolds you are rooting for their HEA. I loved this book. It is so funny with a lovely story and some steamy scenes. Kat is an independent girl after my own heart and Hayden is a delight. A definite must read.

When they meet the sparks are their but Kat is a bit jaded from a previous relationship. Dr.Dogg is the perfect man to melt her heart and their story is absolutely perfect. New to this author and already a fan.

Little bit of puppy love
This book was cute. I love these books set in Spring, FL. The characters grew on me. It took me a minute for Kat. I really didn’t understand what her problem with him at first was but then I grew to like her and the book was enjoyable.

Love and puppies!
This was such a fun read. First it starts with a silky terrier photo shoot. Silky terriers are my breed, so of course I was hooked. Lots of great characters, food, fun, animals and love. I highly recommend this book, it was so uplifting

I loved this book, it was short, funny, adventurous, sweet, I loved the characters. I laughed, cried and hoped for the Happily Ever After that came. I already ordered the next book Bad English about Kat's brother Henry. I highly recommend this story. Happy Reading!!!
